A carbomb was targeting the convoy of the Sudanese head of government ‘Abd Allah Ḥamdūk in a failed assassination attempt.
The media office of the Prime Minister in Sudan today, on Monday announced that Prime Minister ‘Abd Allah Ḥamdūk is in good health and that is after an assassination attempt made on his life by a carbomb.
The office pointed out that the Council of Ministers will soon issue a statement about the reports on the assassination attempt.
The official Sudanese television that Ḥamdūk is in good health and was taken to a safe place.
Sources following the matter reported that the car was placed in Kūbarī in the northeast of Khartoum and was blown up upon the passing of the convoy of Ḥamdūk, which lead to the injury of one person with slight injuries.

سيارة مفخخة تستهدف موكب رئيس الحكومة السودانية عبد الله حمدوك في محاولة اغتيال فاشلة
أعلن المكتب الإعلامي لرئاسة الوزراء في السودان، اليوم الإثنين، أن رئيس الوزراء عبد الله حمدوك بصحة جيدة وذلك بعد محاولة اغتيال تعرض لها باستخدام سيارة مفخخة
وأشار المكتب إلى أن مجلس الوزراء سيصدر بياناً بعد قليل حول التقارير عن محاولة الإغتيال
كما أكد التلفزيون الرسمي السوداني أن حمدوك بصحة جيدة وتم نقله إلى مكان آمن
وأفادت مصادر متابعة أن السيارة وضعت أسفل كوبري كوبر شمال شرق الخرطوم وجرى تفجيرها أثناء مرور موكب حمدوك مما أدى إلى إصابة شخص بجروح طفيفة
