The Sudanese army announces killing dozens of the Rapid Support Forces after one of their attempts was foiled to break the siege around the Radio building in Omdurman.

A source at the Sudanese army announced on Tuesday that the army forces destroyed dozens of military vehicles on al-‘Arḍa Street in Omdurman and according to the description of the sources killed 150 members of the Rapid Support Forces.
It added that the Rapid Support Forces aimed to save the forces under siege in the Radio and Television Building in the east of the city of Omdurman to the north of the capital Khartoum.
On Tuesday morning the Sudanese army added that its forces managed to foil and attempt by the Rapid Support Forces to break the siege around the Radio building in Omdurman.
The office of official spokesman of the Sudanese army confirmed in a statement “the attempt of the Rapid Support Forces to escape from the siege our forces imposed on them in Omdurman has been foiled and most of the escapees have been dealt with”.
It continued: “We have destroyed, or took control over most of their equipment and vehicles and losses are inflicted upon the enemy”, confirming that its forces “continue to tighten the siege on the Rapid Support Forces in Omdurman”.
It added that “another group of armed men was also thwarted, who tried to support the Rapid Support Forces in Omdurman from the West and currently we are dealing with a small group”.

أعلن مصدر في الجيش السوداني، اليوم الثلاثاء، أن قوات الجيش دمّرت عدداً من الآليات. العسكرية في شارع العَرْضَة في أم درمان، وقتلت 150 من أفراد قوات الدعم السريع، وفق تعبير المصدر.
وأضاف أنّ قوات الدعم السريع كانت تسعى لإنقاذ قوات محاصرة في مبنى الإذاعة والتلفزيون. شرقي مدينة أم درمان، شمال العاصمة الخرطوم.
وأفاد الجيش السوداني، صباح اليوم، بأن قواته تمكّنت من إحباط محاولة من جانب قوات الدعم. السريع لكسر الحصار عن مبنى الإذاعة في أم درمان.
وأكد مكتب الناطق الرسمي باسم الجيش السوداني، في بيان، “إحباط محاولة قوات الدعم السريع. للهروب من حصار تفرضه عليها قواتنا في أم درمان والقضاء على معظم الهاربين”.
وتابع: “دمّرنا واستلمنا معظم معداتها وآلياتها وجارٍ حصر خسائر العدو”، مؤكداً أن قواته “تواصل. تضييق الحصار على قوات الدعم السريع في أم درمان”.
وأضاف أنه “تمّ التصدّي لمجموعة أخرى من المسلحين حاولوا إسناد قوات الدعم السريع في أم درمان. من جهة الغرب ونتعامل حالياً مع مجموعة صغيرة
