While the protests in rural Idlib and Western Aleppo continue demanding the dismissal and fall of the Security Service Leader of the “Hay’at Taḥrīr aš-Šām” Abū Muḥammad al-Ğūlānī threatens to use force against the protesters.

Leader of the “Hay’at Taḥrīr aš-Šām” Abū Muḥammad al-Ğūlānī said that there are demands raised by the protesters “that cannot be allowed at this time”. Thus pointing out that “there are red lines no one should cross”, while at the same time demanding to stop the attempts for “destruction”, otherwise the Organization will intervene to protect the areas it controls.

The statements of al-Ğūlānī came during a press conference attended by hundreds of soldiers and residents of Idlib on Tuesday, where he talked about the protests demanding his dismissal after the crisis of the “security cell”. There he wrapped up the crisis by offering some solutions in exchange for stopping the protests in the areas of his control.

The activists rejected the threats of al-Ğūlānī that were clear in the press conference he held and which hinted at the use of force against the protesters.

Al-Ğūlānī said that “there is no disagreement about the ruling power in Idlib”, claiming an “an agreement to support him by 60, or 70%”, underlining his intention to “use force to protect what has been achieved during the last few years”.

He called on the protesters “not to return to square one”, pointing out that after this press conference, he hoped that the matter had been solved and that “going backward is a red line for the organization”.

The protesters considered the statements of al-Ğūlānī and his covert threats in the press conference “a green light for his security branch to use aggression” and to repeat the calls demanding his removal in the next Friday protest.

The activists in the social media called for participation in the protests that are being prepared during the commemoration of the outbreak of the Syrian events in 2011.

In the same context, the regions of Idlib and Western Aleppo witnessed daily protests for more than two weeks after the scandal of the “security cell” that led to the detention of hundreds of members of the “Hay’at Taḥrīr aš-Šām” by al-Ğūlānī’s security service under the pretext that those were in contact with foreign parties.

The protesters demanded the fall of al-Ğūlānī and the dismissal of the security service. That was in result of the detention and forceful disappearance of thousands and the imposition of even more taxes on all ways of life. This has led to a suffocating noose on the residents and prevented them from obtaining their daily living needs.

Al-Ğūlānī has attempted to extinguish the fury on the streets against him by issuing a general amnesty on certain detainees or the “security cell”, most prominent amongst them the second man of the organization, “Abū Māryā al-Qaḥṭānī”. All this after the protests had increased and expanded rejecting all decrees that is not including the fall of al-Ğūlānī and his security service.

On Tuesday former leading member of the “Hay’at Taḥrīr aš-Šām” Ğihād ‘Īsā aš-Šayh (Abū Aḥmad Zakkūr) revealed in a series of posts on the X social platform the connection of both the Leader of “Hay’at Taḥrīr aš-Šām” Abū Muḥammad al-Ğūlānī and an official of the Security Branch with the American Coalition.

قال قائد “هيئة تحرير الشام”، أبو محمد الجولاني، إنّ هناك مطالب أطلقها المتظاهرون “لا. يسمح بها الوقت الآن”، مشيراً إلى أنّ “هناك خطوطاً حمر يجب أن لا يصل إليها أحد”، مطالباً في. الوقت نفسه بإيقاف من يسعى. إلى “الخراب”، وإلا ستتدخل الهيئة لحماية الأماكن التي سيطرت عليها.

تصريحات الجولاني، جاءت خلال ندوة عقدها بحضور المئات من العسكريين. وأهالي إدلب، أمس الثلاثاء، تحدث فيها. عن  التظاهرات المطالبة بتنحيّه بعد أزمة “الخلية الأمنية”، حيث اختصر الأزمة بتقديم بعض الحلول مقابل. إيقاف التظاهرات في مناطق نفوذه.

ورفض ناشطون تهديدات الجولاني التي كانت واضحة خلال الندوة التي عُقدت، والتي لمّح فيها إلى استخدام القوة ضد المتظاهرين.

وقال الجولاني، إنه “ليس هناك خلاف على السلطة في إدلب”، داعياً إلى “الاتفاق. على بديل عنه بنسبة 60 أو 70%”، ومشدداً على عزمه “استخدام القوة لحماية ما حققه خلال السنوات الماضية”.

ودعا المتظاهرين إلى “عدم العودة إلى المربع الأول”، مشيراً إلى أنه بعد هذه الندوة. يرجو أن يكون الأمر قد تمّ حلّه، وأنّ “العودة إلى الوراء خط أحمر بالنسبة إلى الهيئة”.

وعدّ ناشطون تصريحات الجولاني وتهديداته المبطّنة خلال الندوة  “ضوءاً أخضر لجهازه. الأمني باستعمال العنف” إن تكررت الهتافات المطالبة بتنحيته في تظاهرات الجمعة القادمة.

ودعا الناشطون على مواقع التواصل الاجتماعي إلى المشاركة في التظاهرات التي يجري الإعداد. لها خلال ذكرى اندلاع الأحداث السورية عام 2011.

وفي السياق، تشهد مناطق ريف إدلب وغربي حلب تظاهرات يومية منذ أكثر من أسبوعين بعد فضيحة. “الخلية الأمنية” التي أدّت إلى اعتقال المئات من عناصر “هيئة تحرير الشام”، من قبل الجهاز الأمني للجولاني، بذريعة. تواصلهم مع جهات خارجية.

وطالب المتظاهرون بإسقاط الجولاني وحلّ جهازه الأمني، وذلك نتيجة الاعتقالات والاختفاء القسري. للآلاف، وفرض المزيد من الضرائب على  مناحي الحياة كافة، ما أدّى إلى تضييق الخناق على الأهالي، وحرمانهم الحصول. على مقوّمات الحياة اليومية.

وكان الجولاني قد حاول امتصاص غضب الشارع ضده، عبر إصداره عفواً عاماً عن بعض الموقوفين. في “الخلية الأمنية”، وأبرزهم الرجل الثاني في التنظيم “أبو ماريا القحطاني“، بيد أنّ التظاهرات زادت وتوسعت رافضةً كل القرارات التي. لا تشمل إسقاط الجولاني وجهازه الأمني.
