The Saudi Coalition says that the decision to halt all military operations in Yemen came “to reach a comprehensive and sustainable political solution to end the Yemeni crisis”.
On Tuesday night the Saudi Coalition announced the halt of all military operations in Yemen starting from 6 a.m. the following day, meaning is Wednesday.
The “Saudi Coalition” mentioned that “the halt of military operations within Yemen comes to stimulate the negotiations and create a positive atmosphere to make peace”. Thus pointing out that this “is in response to the calling of the Gulf Cooperation Council’s Secretary General”.
The “Saudi Coalition” pointed out that “the decision to halt military operations comes to reach a comprehensive and sustainable political solution to end the Yemeni crisis”.
Today the Gulf Cooperation Council called upon the “Saudi Coalition’s” Command, and all Yemeni parties to “halt the military operations, which are going on for some 7 years now in Yemen”.
The announcement by the GCC presented by its president Nāyif Falāḥ Mubārak al-Ḥağraf counts as a call “urging in it the Saudi Coalition’s Command in Yemen and all Yemeni parties to stop the military operations within Yemen”.
On 26 March President of the Supreme Political Council in Yemen Mahdī al-Maššāṭ announced on a unilateral fashion “suspending the missiles and drone strikes and all military operations towards Saudi Arabia on land, sea and air for 3 days”.
Al-Maššāṭ confirmed that “Sana’a is ready to transform this announcement into a final and lasting commitment, in case Saudi Arabia committed itself to end the blockade and stop its airstrikes in Yemen in a final and complete fashion”.
The initiative announced by al-Maššāṭ came into effect last Monday, on 27 March at 6 p.m. Sana’a time.

التحالف السعودي يقول إن قرار وقف العمليات العسكرية في اليمن يأتي “للوصول إلى حل سياسي شامل ومستدام لإنهاء الأزمة اليمنية”.
أعلن التحالف السعودي، مساء الثلاثاء، وقف العمليات العسكرية في اليمن اعتباراً من الساعة الـ6 من صباح غدٍ الأربعاء.
وذكر “التحالف السعودي” أن “وقف العمليات العسكرية بالداخل اليمني يأتي لإنجاح المشاورات وخلق بيئة إيجابية لصنع السلام”، مشيراً إلى أنه “استجابة لدعوة الأمين العام لمجلس التعاون الخليجي”.
وأشار “التحالف السعودي” إلى أن “قرار وقف العمليات العسكرية يأتي للوصول إلى حل سياسي شامل ومستدام لإنهاء الأزمة اليمنية”
واليوم، دعا مجلس التعاون الخليجي قيادة “التحالف السعودي” وجميع الأطراف اليمنية إلى “وقف العمليات العسكرية المستمرة منذ نحو 7 أعوام في اليمن”.
ويحسب بيان للمجلس، فلقد أطلق رئيسه، نايف فلاح مبارك الحجرف، نداءً “يناشد فيه قيادة التحالف السعودي في اليمن وكل الأطراف اليمنية إيقاف العمليات العسكرية في الداخل اليمني”.
وفي الـ26 من آذار/مارس، أعلن رئيس المجلس السياسي الأعلى في اليمن، مهدي المشّاط، بصورة أحادية، “تعليق الضربات الصاروخية والطيران المسيّر والأعمال العسكرية كافّةً في اتجاه السعودية، برّاً وبحراً وجوّاً، لمدة 3 أيامٍ”.
وأكّد المشّاط “استعداد صنعاء لتحويل هذا الإعلان إلى التزامٍ نهائيٍّ وثابتٍ، إذا التزمت السعودية إنهاءَ الحصار ووقف غاراتها على اليمن، بصورة نهائيّة”.
