The Council of Leadership Experts in Iran elect as-Sayyid Moğtabā Hāmeneī, as the third Supreme Leader of the Islamic Revolution and Republic in the country.

The Council of Leadership Experts in Iran elect as-Sayyid Moğtabā Hāmeneī as the third Supreme Leader of the Islamic Revolution and Republic in the country.
The council announced that this election came “after precise and extended studies”, using the prerogatives of Section 108 of the constitution, based on the legal duty and fate in standing with the will of God Almighty”.
It added that the election of as-Sayyid Moğtabā Hāmeneī also came based upon the clear voting majority of the representatives at the Council of Leadership Experts, as the council is aware of the upmost position of the Supreme Leader and the importance of the matter of leadership in the system of the Islamic Republic.
The Coipuncil called upon the Iranian people, especially the elites and the cultural classes at the religious institutions and at the universities to “pledge their allegiance to the leadership and to preserve the unity around the Leadership”.. thus expressing its gratitude for the members of the temporary council that was stated in Section 111 of the constitution.
The Council pointed out that the immediately after the fall of the Leader of the Nation Martyr as-Sayyid ‘Alī Hāmeneī the process of election and providing a new leader for the Islamic system was not hesitating even for a second, despite the fierce war conditions and the direct threats, or the bombardment of the seat of the Council of Experts.
It stated that “the council laid out its work schedule based on the responsibilities stated in the constitution and the internal procedures of the Council of Experts, but also on the necessary deliberations and preparations to hold an extraordinary meeting to provide a new Supreme Leader”.
The Council renounced the American-Israeli aggression against Iran, expressing its condolences for the martyrdom of as-Sayyid ‘Alī Hāmeneī and for the rest of the martyrs, especially for the schoolgirls in the city of Mīnāb.

انتخب مجلس خبراء القيادة في إيران السيد مجتبى خامنئي قائداً ثالثاً للثورة والجمهورية الإسلامية في البلاد.
وأعلن المجلس أنّ هذا الانتخاب جاء “بعد دراسات دقيقة وواسعة، والاستفادة من صلاحيات المادة 108 من الدستور، وانطلاقاً من الواجب الشرعي والإيمان بالوقوف في محضر الله تعالى”.
وأضاف أنّ انتخاب السيد مجتبى جاء أيضاً بناءً على التصويت القاطع للممثلين لمجلس خبراء القيادة، وانطلاقاً من تقدير المجلس للمكانة السامية لولاية الفقيه وأهمية مسألة القيادة في نظام الجمهورية الإسلامية
ودعا المجلس الشعب الإيراني، ولا سيما النخب والمثقفين في الحوزة والجامعة، لـ”مبايعة القيادة والحفاظ على الانسجام حول محور الولاية”، معرباً عن تقديره لأعضاء المجلس المؤقت المنصوص عليه في المادة 111 من الدستور
ولفت المجلس إلى أنّه، وفور ارتقاء القائد الأمة الشهيد السيد علي خامنئي، لم يتردّد للحظة واحدة في عملية انتخاب وتقديم قائد النظام الإسلامي، رغم الظروف الحربية الحادة والتهديدات المباشرة وقصف مكاتب أمانة مجلس الخبراء.
وقال “لقد وضع المجلس في جدول أعماله وبناءً على الواجبات المنصوص عليها في الدستور والنظام الداخلي لمجلس الخبراء، التدابير والتمهيدات اللازمة لعقد اجتماع فوق العادة وتقديم القائد الجديد”.
