Algerian President ‘Abd al-Mağīd Tabbūn in a press meeting addresses a number of international and internal matters and confirms that the crisis of Niger “is to be solved with reasoning and not by force”.
On Saturday Algerian President ‘Abd al-Mağīd Tabbūn confirmed that the crisis of Niger represents a “direct threat to Algeria”, absolutely and categorically refusing a military intervention in Niamey.
In the regular press meeting with the representatives of the national media, the Algerian President underlined that the crisis of Niger “is to be solved by reasoning and not by force”, pointing out the readiness of his country to intervene in order to involve everyone in the neighboring African country and launch the dialogue.
He added asking: “Where has reached all the states in there has been a military intervention?” He added that those are still suffering from problems and crises.
In the same context, Tabbūn called upon Niger not to cause pain for the people and the foreign citizens and preserve life, adding that “Niger must not succumb to chaos”.
As for the troubles in the states neighboring Algeria Tabbūn said: “Algeria rejects the involvement in any war and rejects to spill blood in any brotherly, or friendly country”. Thus confirming the brotherly relations between Algerian and the countries neighboring it, and also that according to Tabbūn, “there is no solution without Algeria”.
He continued that “Algeria will not interfere military and will not use force against its neighbors who will remain brothers and brethren, and it stands firm with the continuation legality that is against the use of force”. Thus he underlined that his country is ready to combat any threat at the borders.
China and Algeria have reached a total understanding
Also Tabbūn addressed his recent visit to China, highlighting that Algeria and China “have reached a total and comprehensive understanding in the development projects”.
He added saying: “We are looking forward for a new phase with China surpassing the housing constructions, as we are aiming for joint production in the civilian and the military production, and we have felt complete readiness for working together with Algeria”.
Responding to a question about joining the BRICS group Tabbūn answered that “the actors in this group are in total agreement about the importance of involving Algeria, yet we leave the freedom of choice to them”.
He added that “there is a principle understanding that we would be monitoring members in the BRICS organization”, pointing out that his country “is joining the shares of the bank that has become even more important than the World Bank”.
It should be remembered that Tabbūn’s visit to Beijing came after last month he had an official visit to Russia as well, during which Russian President Vladimir Putin claimed support for Algeria to be a member of the BRICS. That is a group that unites the markets of Brazil, Russia, India, China, and South Africa.
The visit to France awaits an actual program from Paris
As for his upcoming visit to France Tabbūn explained that this visit is on the agenda and not put on hold, yet “we are still waiting for the program of this visit by the French Presidential Office”.
The Algerian President pointed out that any state visit “has requirements and has to have results. So a state visit cannot be a tourist trip”.
He continued: “Whenever there is an agreement between Algiers and Paris about the program and it takes a form of an actual state visit, we shall go on with the visit without any reservations”. Thus stressing there is no animosity between his country and France.
Talking about the Israeli Occupation’s recognition of Western Sahara [as part of Morocco – Amaraia], the Algerian President said that this for him is a real event, as “it lost something that was not given to it”. Explaining that “Israel clearly occupies the Palestinian lands and Morocco recognizes it”.
According to Tabbūn, “There is a problem put on the table of the U.N. and the General Assembly about Palestine, and one also about Western Sahara”.
The wildfires that broke out in Algeria are man-made
Internally the Algerian President dealt with the question of the wildfires that have broken out in Algeria recently, underlining that Algeria mobilized “capacities to rule these wildfires relying on Chile, as it rented special planes to extinguish these fires”.
He confirmed that Algeria took precautions and took control of the fires within 48 hours, claiming that “there is a criminal hand in the recent crisis of wildfires, but those involved are in the hands of the justice system”. He added: “We have received pictures of dozens of rubber tires stored up in the forest to cause wildfire”.
He continued: “We committed ourselves to build a modern hospital to treat high-degree burns”.
Also, he said that “there are sides playing a role in lighting the fury of the citizens creating water crises and creating a shortage in essential goods”. Thus he confirmed that his country has “water reserves enough for 15 years and with certain technologies can deliver water to all the citizens”.
On 26 July the Algerian Civil Defence Directorate managed to extinguish most of the wildfires that ruled 80% of a number of provinces. That was achieved by constant and relentless mobilization strengthening the operations on the ground and exchanging capacities between the provinces.
Two people have already been arrested being accused of causing the outbreak of the wildfires in the forest in the region of al-Aḥḍariyya (l-Buwayra) along with the arrest of 3 people accused of being accomplices in the outbreak of the wildfires that have been witnessed in the forests of Skikda Province. All these cases have been handed over to the anti-terrorist and organized crime division of the court of Sīdī Muḥammad (a district of the capital Algiers).

الرئيس الجزائري عبد المجيد تبون يتطرق في لقاء صحافي إلى عدد من القضايا الدولية والداخلية، ويؤكّد أنّ أزمة النيجر “تُحل بالمنطق و ليس بالقوة
أكّد الرئيس الجزائري عبد المجيد تبون، أمس السبت، أنّ أزمة النيجر تُمثّل “تهديداً مباشراً للجزائر”، رافضاً رفضاً تاماً وقطعياً التدخل العسكري في نيامي.
وشدّد الرئيس الجزائري في اللقاء الإعلامي الدوري له مع ممثلي الصحافة الوطنية، على أنّ أزمة النيجر “تُحل بالمنطق و ليس بالقوة”، مشيراً إلى استعداد بلاده للتدخل من أجل لمّ الشمل في البلد الجار الأفريقي و إطلاق الحوار
وأضاف متسائلاً: “أين أصبحت كل الدول التي تم التدخل العسكري فيها؟”، مردفاً أنّها لا تزال تُعاني من المشاكل والأزمات.
وفي السياق، دعا تبون النيجر إلى عدم أذية الناس والرعايا الأجانب والحفاظ على الأرواح، مردفاً أنّ “النيجر يجب ألاّ تنزلق إلى الفوضى”.
وبشأن التوترات في البلدان الجارة للجزائر، قال تبون: “الجزائر ترفض التدخل في أي حرب، وترفض أن يُراق أي دم لدول شقيقة أو صديقة”، مؤكّداً العلاقات الأخوية بين الجزائر والدول الجارة لها، ولذلك “لا حل دون الجزائر”، وفق تبون.
وتابع أنّ “الجزائر لن تتدخل عسكرياً، ولن تستعمل القوة مع جيرانها الذين سيبقون أشقاء وأخوان، وهي مع الشرعية الدستورية وضد استعمال القوة”، مشدداً على استعداد بلاده لمواجهة أي خطر عند الحدود
الصين والجزائر توصلتا إلى تفاهم كلي
كذلك، تطرّق تبون إلى زيارته الأخيرة إلى الصين، مبيّناً أنّ الجزائر والصين “توصلتا إلى تفاهم كلي و شامل في مشاريع التنمية”.
وأردف قائلاً: “نحن مقبلون على مرحلة جديدة مع الصين تتجاوز بناء سكنات، بل نطمع للتصنيع المشترك في الصناعة المدنية والعسكرية، وقد التمسنا استعداداً تاماً للعمل مع الجزائر
ورداً على سؤال بشأن الانضمام إلى مجموعة “البريكس”، أجاب تبون أنّ “الفاعلين في هذه المجموعة متفقون إجماعاً على أهمية انضمام الجزائر، وسوف نترك لهم حرية القرار”.
وأضاف أنّ “هناك اتفاق مبدئي على أن نكون كعضو ملاحظ في منظمة البريكس”، لافتاً إلى أنّ بلاده “تشارك في أسهم البنك الذي أصبح أكثر أهمية من البنك العالمي “.
يُذكر أنّ زيارة تبون إلى بكين جاءت بعد زيارة رسمية أيضاً إلى روسيا، الشهر الماضي، ناشد خلالها الرئيس الروسي فلاديمير بوتين دعم الجزائر لتصبح عضواً في “بريكس”، وهي مجموعة من الأسواق تضم البرازيل وروسيا والهند والصين وجنوب أفريقيا.
زيارة فرنسا تنتظر برنامجاً فعلياً من باريس
أمّا عن زيارته المرتقبة إلى فرنسا، أوضح تبون أنّ هذه الزيارة هي في الأجندة ولم بعد، لكننا “ننتظر برنامج الزيارة من الرئاسة الفرنسية”.
وبيّن الرئيس الجزائري أنّ أي زيارة دولة “لها متطلبات و يجب أن تخرج بنتائج، فزيارة الدولة لا يمكن أن تكون زيارة سياحية”.
وتابع: “حين يجري الاتفاق بين الجزائر وباريس على برنامج يجسد زيارة دولية فعلية، فسوف نمضي من دون مانع في الزيارة”، مشدداً على عدم وجود خصومة بين بلاده وفرنسا
وبالحديث عن اعتراف الاحتلال الإسرائيلي بالصحراء الغربية، قال الرئيس الجزائري إنّ ذلك بالنسبة إليه لا يُمثّل حدثاً إذ إنّ “فاقد الشيء لا يُعطيه”، موضحاً أنّ “إسرائيل تحتلّ الأراضي الفلسطينية بشكل واضح، فيما المغرب يعترف بها”.
وبحسب تبون، فإنّ “هناك مشكلة مطروحة أمام الأمم المتحدة ومجلس الأمن تتعلق بفلسطين والصحراء الغربية”.
الحرائق التي نشبت في الجزائر مفتعلة
داخلياً، تناول الرئيس الجزائري مسألة الحرائق التي نشبت في البلاد مؤخراً، مشدداً على أنّ الجزائر سخّرت “إمكانيات للتحكم في تلك الحرائق، مستعينةً بدولة التشيلي، كما أستأجرت طائرات مخصصة لإطفاء الحرائق”.
وأكّد أنّ الجزائر أخذت احترازات قبلية، وتغلبت على النيران في ظرف 48 ساعة، مصرّحاً بأنّ “هناك يد إجرامية في أزمة الحرائق الأخيرة، والمتورطون بين أيدي العدالة”، مضيفاً: “وصلتنا صور لعشرات العجلات المطاطية مخزنة في الغابة لإضرام الحرائق”.
وتابع: “التزمنا ببناء مستشفى عصري لمعالجة الحروق العميقة بمستوى عالي
كذلك، قال إنّ “هناك أطراف تلعب على إثارة غضب المواطن باختلاق أزمات في المياه وخلق الندرة في المواد الأساسية”، مؤكّداً أنّ لدى بلاده “مخزون مياه يكفي لـ15 سنة، بتقنيات محددة لإيصال المياه لكل المواطنين
وفي 26 تموز/يوليو الماضي، نجحت مصالح الحماية المدنية الجزائرية في إخماد غالبية الحرائق التي طالت عدة ولايات بنسبة 80%، وذلك بفضل التجنّد المتواصل دون انقطاع وتعزيز العمليات الميدانية وتعاضد الإمكانيات بين الولايات.
وقد جرى توقيف شخصين للاشتباه في تسببهما في اندلاع حرائق الغابات بمنطقة الأخضرية (البويرة)، إلى جانب توقيف 3 أشخاص مشتبه في تورطهم في اندلاع الحرائق التي سُجّلت في غابات ولاية سكيكدة وتم تحويل جميع هذه الملفات أمام قسم مكافحة الإرهاب والجريمة المنظمة في محكمة سيدي امحمد (الجزائر العاصمة
