Severe escalation on the ground witnessed in as-Suwqydā’ Province with expanding clashes between the Druze and tribal factions with repercussions in the universities in Aleppo.

The Province of as-Suwaydā’ witnessed increasing tensions on the ground, as violent clashes broke out between the the Druze militia factions and the tribal factions in the towns and villages of the western outskirts of as-Suwaydā’.

In an additional escalation the tribes of Dar‘ā announced “a full mobilization” supporting the tribes in as-Suwaydā’ clashing with the Druze factions in a step signaling the expansion of the scope of the clashes in Southern Syria.

The tensions also showed repercussions on the students of the Syrian universities, as sources reported from the university of Aleppo that a number of Druze students suffered attacks in the university dormitories before being transported to al-Ašrafiyya and aš-Šayh Maqṣūd quarters under the control of “Qasad” to guarantee their safety in light of sectarian agitation.

تصعيد ميداني حاد تشهده محافظة السويداء مع توسّع الاشتباكات بين فصائل درزية وعشائرية، وانعكاس. التوتر على حرم الجامعات في حلب

 شهدت محافظة السويداء توترات ميدانية متزايدة، إذ اندلعت اشتباكات عنيفة بين الفصائل العسكرية الدرزية. والفصائل العشائرية في قرى وبلدات ريف السويداء الغربي.

وفي تصعيد إضافي، أعلنت عشائر درعا “النفير العام” دعماً لأبناء العشائر في السويداء ومواجهة للفصائل. الدرزية، في خطوة تهدّد بتوسيع رقعة الاشتباكات في الجنوب السوري.

التوترات انعكست أيضاً على طلاب الجامعات السورية، حيث أفادت مصادر من جامعة حلب بتعرض عدد من. الطلاب من أبناء طائفة الموحدين الدروز لاعتداءات في السكن الجامعي، قبل أن يتم نقلهم إلى حيي الأشرفية والشيخ. مقصود، الخاضعين لسيطرة “قسد”، حفاظاً على سلامتهم في ظل أجواء الشحن والتحريض الطائفي
