In Sudan, the President of the Transitional Sovereignty Council ‘Abd al-Fattāḥ al-Burhān announces the dismissal of the council and that the military organizations would not take part in the dialogue, in preparation to form a caretaker national government for a transitional period.
In Sudan the President of the Transitional Sovereignty Council and Commander of the Army ‘Abd al-Fattāḥ al-Burhān in a statement announced on Monday the dismissal of the Sovereignty Council, following the formation of a new government in the country, thus pointing out that “he will adhere to the resolutions of the dialogue between the national forces and the three-sided joint Sudanese mechanism”.
He also claimed “that the military organizations will not participate in the dialogue, which will be led by the triple mechanism in order to giver ground for other political forces”.
Al-Burhān said in the statement that “the withdrawal of the Army from the dialogue aims to give ground for the other political and revolutionary forces to form a caretaker government in order to fulfill what is needed in the transitional period”.
He pointed out that another council will be formed that shall be, “a Supreme Council for the Army, formed by the Armed Forces, the Rapid Support [Units]. It will take over the supreme command of the regular forces and will be responsible for the duties of security and defense, and all duties connected to this in agreement with the government”.
For the fifth consecutive day, Sudanese people continue to protest in the streets of Khartoum and its outskirts demanding “civilian rule and the end of the military coup”, which Commander of the Army al-Burhān carried out last year.
Two days ago the Sudanese capital witnessed an event described as “the most bloody” since the beginning of last year. A number of protesters were killed, and that came after more than eight months after the military coup, which led the country into a spiral of violence and deepened the economic crisis.

رئيس المجلس السيادي الانتقالي في السودان، عبد الفتاح البرهان، يعلن حلّ المجلس، وعدم مشاركة المؤسسة العسكرية في الحوار، تمهيداً لتشكيل حكومة كفاءات وطنية للفترة الانتقالية
أعلن رئيس مجلس السيادة الانتقالي في السودان، قائد الجيش، عبد الفتاح البرهان، في بيان، اليوم الإثنين، حلَّ المجلس السيادي عقب تشكيل حكومة جديدة في البلاد، مشيراً إلى أنه “سيلتزم مخرجات حوار القوى الوطنية، مع الآلية الثلاثية المشتركة للسودان
وأفاد بـ”عدم مشاركة المؤسسة العسكرية في الحوار، الذي تيسره الآلية الثلاثية، من أجل إفساح المجال أمام القوى السياسية الأخرى
وقال البرهان، في البيان، إنّ “انسحاب الجيش من الحوار يهدف إلى إفساح المجال للقوى السياسية والثورية لتشكيل حكومة كفاءات وطنية، من أجل إكمال ما تقتضيه الفترة الانتقالية
ولفت إلى أنه سيتم تشكيل مجلس آخر، وسيكون “مجلساً أعلى للقوات المسلحة، يتألف من القوات المسلحة والدعم السريع، ويتولى القيادة العليا للقوات النظامية، ويكون مسؤولاً عن مهمّات الأمن والدفاع، وما يتعلق بها من مسؤوليات تستكمــــل مهمّاتــه، بالاتفاق مع الحكومـة
ولليوم الخامس على التوالي، تتواصل احتجاجات السودانيين في شوارع الخرطوم وضواحيها، للمطالبة بـ”حكم مدني وإنهاء الانقلاب العسكري”، الذي نفّذه قائد الجيش اليرهان، العام الماضي.
وقبل يومين، شهدت العاصمة السودانية أحداثاً وُصفت بـ “الأكثر دموية” منذ بداية العام، شهدت مقتل عدد من المتظاهرين، وذلك بعد أكثر من ثمانية أشهر على الانقلاب العسكري، الذي أدخل البلاد في دائرة من العنف، وعمّق الأزمة الاقتصادية
