The Western media reveals new details about the arrested personalities of the ruling Saudi royal family, and the “Middle East Eye” site says that the number of the arrested princes reached 20.
The British “Middle East Eye” site revealed that the Saudi Crown Prince Muḥammad ibn Salmān arrested at least 20 princes from the ruling family, pointing out that amongst those arrested four names are confirmed, which are Emir Aḥmad ibn ‘Abd al-‘Azīz, his heir Nayif, director of the Intelligence and Security of the Ground Forces, additionally to former Crown Prince Muḥammad ibn Nāyif and his brother Nawāf.
The “Wall Street Journal” newspaper mentioned that Interior Minister ‘Abd al-‘Azīz ibn Sa‘ūd ibn Nāyif and his father, Emir Sa‘ūd ibn Nāyif we’re summed to be questioned. The newspaper added that the Saudi Crown Prince ordered a wide range brutal security operation arresting officers and officials, who are supporters of Emir Aḥmad ibn ‘Abd al-‘Azīz and Muḥammad ibn Nāyif.
In a joint context, the “Washington Post” clarified that charges, which the arrested princes are facing are punishable by execution.
On its own ground the “Reuters” news agency revealed that Saudi king Salmān ibn ‘Abd al-‘Azīz is standing behind the arrest of the three princes and himself signed the arrest warrant, while he is enjoying good mental and physical health.

وسائل الإعلام الغربية تكشف تفاصيل جديدة عن اعتقال أفراد من العائلة المالكة السعودية، وموقع “ميدل ايست آي” يقول إن عدد الأمراء المعتقلين بلغ الـ20
كشف موقع “ميدل ايست آي” البريطاني أن ولي العهد السعودي محمد بن سلمان، اعتقل 20 أميراً على الأقل من العائلة المالكة، مشيراً إلى تحققه من 4 أسماء بين المعتقلين هم الأمير أحمد بن عبد العزيز، ونجله نايف رئيس جهاز المخابرات والأمن للقوات البرية، بالإضافة إلى ولي العهد السابق الأمير محمد بن نايف وأخيه نواف
وذكرت صحيفة “وول ستريت جورنال” أنه تمَّ استدعاء وزير الداخلية عبد العزيز بن سعود بن نايف، ووالده الأمير سعود بن نايف لاستجوابهما، مضيفةً أن ولي العهد السعودي نفذ عملية قمع أمني واسعة باعتقال ضباط وموظفين مؤيّدين للأميرين أحمد بن عبد العزيز ومحمد بن نايف
وفي سياقٍ متصل، أوضحت صحيفة “واشنطن بوست” أن التُهم التي يواجهها الأمراء الذين تم اعتقالهم، تصل عقوبتها إلى الإعدام
