The Joint Forces Command of the Saudi Coalition in Yemen explains that the two ships that had entered the port of al-Mukallā suffered a Saudi airstrike that came after “their entry without a permission to enter from the Yemeni government, of the Coalition Command”.

On Tuesday the Saudi Coalition Joint Forces Command provided an explanation about what was provided in the statement of the Emirati Foreign Ministry about the two ships that had entered the port of al-Mukallā and suffered a Saudi airstrike at dawn that day.

About the details the official spokesman of the Coalition said that the two ships “had entered the port of al-Mukallā without a permission for entry from the Yemeni government, or the Coalition Command”.

The spokesman added that “the two ships had switched off their transponders and identifiers before entering the Yemeni territorial waters”.

On Tuesday dawn the “Saudi Coalition” Command carried out an airstrike targeting a foreign militia support at the port of al-Mukallā in the Ḥaḍramawt Province in Southern Yemen.

The Coalition explained that the two ships coming from the Emirati port of al-Fuğayra “had switched off their transponders and entered the port of al-Mukallā without permission from the Coalition, starting to offload their weapons cargo with aim to support the “Transitional Coalition”.

The Saudi Chamber of Ministers called upon the Emirates to respond to the request of Yemen to pull out the Emirati troops from the country within 24 hours and stop any military support for the Southern Transitional Council.

Following this the Emirati Foreign Ministry denied the claims about instigating the conflict, confirming that cargo in question did not contain weapons and that the truck that had been offloaded were not dedicated to any sides, but was designed to the Emirati troops operation in Yemen with a previous coordination with Saudi Arabia, expressing its surprise for targeting the port.

The Emirati Foreign Ministry confirmed its full support of “the security of the brotherly Kingdom of Saudi Arabian, expressing its regret for what was stated in the Saudi statement about the failures concerning the role of the Emirates in the current events in Yemen.

قدّمت قيادة القوات المشتركة للتحالف السعودي، اليوم الثلاثاء، إيضاحات بشأن ما ورد في. بيان وزارة الخارجية الإماراتية، حول السفينتين اللتين دخلتا ميناء المكلا، وتعرضتا لضربة. سعودية، فجر اليوم. 

وفي التفاصيل، قال المتحدث باسم التحالف إنّ السفينتين “دخلتا ميناء المكلا من دون. تصريح دخول من الحكومة اليمنية أو قيادة التحالف”. 

وأضاف المتحدث أنّ “السفينتين أغلقتا جهاز التتبع والتعريف. قبل دخول المياه الإقليمية اليمنية”.

وأوضح التحالف أنّ سفينتين قادمتين من ميناء الفجيرة الإماراتي، “عطّلتا أنظمة. التتبع، ودخلتا ميناء المكلا من دون إذن من التحالف، وقامتا بإفراغ شحنة من الأسلحة بهدف. دعم “المجلس الانتقالي”.

كما دعا مجلس الوزراء السعوديّ الإمارات إلى الاستجابة لطلب اليمن إخراج القوات. الإماراتية من البلاد خلال 24 ساعة، وإيقاف أي دعم عسكري للمجلس الانتقاليّ الجنوبيّ.

وعقب ذلك، نفت وزارة الخارجية الإماراتية، في بيان، المزاعم بشأن تأجيج. الصراع، مؤكدةً أن الشحنة التي أُشير إليها لم تتضمن أي أسلحة، وأن العربات التي جرى إنزالها لم تكن مخصصة. لأي طرف يمني، بل كانت مخصصة للقوات الإماراتية العاملة في اليمن، مع وجود. تنسيق مسبق مع السعودية، ومعربةً عن تفاجئها باستهدافها في الميناء.
