The Russian forces present at al-Qāmišlī airport deploy “Pantsir S1” air defense systems within the airport. This comes as a response to the measure by which the West supports Ukraine and expands NATO. But also to confirm that the Russian role in Syria is pivotal.
The Russian forces deployed at the al-Qāmišlī airport continue to send military reinforcements to its base within the airport. This comes after several reports about the intention of the Russian forces to decrease the number of its size in Syria and gradually retreat from several areas, including the Northern and Northeastern regions of Syria, but also after Turkish threats to launch a new military offensive along the border with Syria.
During the last three days, a number of convoys arrived carrying equipment, weapons, and soldiers, also including air defense equipment after roughly a week of sending 6 helicopters and two warplanes to the base within the airport.
Sources to al-Mayadeen confirmed that “the Russian forces present at al-Qāmišlī airport started to deploy a Pantsir S1 air defense system within the airport”. Also adding that “the deployment of the system comes after strengthening the base with a number of warplanes and helicopters”.
It is clear that Russia wants to send a number of messages by transforming the base at al-Qāmišlī airport to become the second biggest base in Syria after the Ḥamīmīm Base in Latakia. This is to respond to the measures by which the West supported Ukraine and expanded NATO to its borders, thus expanding and deploying military reinforcements to a base only 5 kilometers away from the border with Turkey. This is to confirm that the Russian role in Syria is pivotal and show that it is a lie by the Western and American media that Russia withdrew from Syria.
In addition to that, it is confirm the Russian refusal of any new Turkish military operation in Northern and Eastern Syria, by sending 6 helicopters to a number of reconnaissance missions along the Syrian-Turkish borders from al-Qāmišlī to Minbiğ, which is shadowed by joint patrols on the ground.

روسيا تنشر منظومة دفاع جوي قرب قواعد التحالف الدولي في القامشلي

القوات الروسية المتواجدة في مطار القامشلي تنصب منظومة دفاع جوي “pantsir_s1” داخل المطار، وذلك للرّد على إجراءات دعم الغرب لأوكرانيا وتوسع “الناتو”، وللتأكيد على أنّ الدور الروسي في سوريا محوري
تواصل القوات الروسية المنتشرة في مطار القامشلي استقدام تعزيزات عسكرية إلى قاعدتها في المطار، وذلك بعد أنباءِِ متعدّدة عن نيّة القوّات الروسية تخفيض عدد قوّاتها في سوريا والإنسحاب تدريجياً من عدة مناطق من بينها مناطق شمال وشمال شرق سوريا، والتهديدات التركية بشن عمليّة عسكريّة جديدة على الحدود مع سوريا.
ووصلت على مدار الأيام الثلاثة الأخيرة عدّة قوافل من المعدّات والأسلحة والجنود، تتضمن في معظمها معدات للدفاع الجوي، بعد نحو أسبوع على إستقدام 6 مروحيات وطائرتين حربيتين إلى القاعدة في المطار.
وأكدت مصادر الميادين، أنَّ ” القوات الروسية المتواجدة في مطار القامشلي بدأت بنصب منظومة دفاع جوي pantsir_s1 داخل المطار” مضيفاً أنَّ ” نشر المنظومة جاء بعد تعزيز القاعدة بعدد من الطائرات الحربية والمروحية”.
ومن الواضح أن روسيا تريد إرسال رسائل عديدة من خلال تحويل قاعدة مطار القامشلي، إلى ثاني أكبر قاعدة في سوريا، بعد قاعدة حميميم في اللاذقية، وذلك للرّد على إجراءات دعم الغرب لأوكرانيا وتوسع “الناتو” على الحدود معها ،من خلال التوسع واستقدام التعزيزات العسكرية في قاعدة تبعد نحو ٥ كم عن الحدود مع تركيا، وللتأكيد على أنّ الدور الروسي في سوريا محوري، وتكذيب كل الأنباء الغربية والأميركية عن إنسحاب روسيا من سوريا.
بالإضافة إلى التأكيد على الرفض الروسي لأي عملية عسكرية تركية جديدة في الشمال والشرق السوري، وذلك عبر تنفيذ عدة طلعات بـ6 مروحيات على الحدود السورية التركية انطلاقاً من القامشلي ووصولا إلى منبج، ترافقت مع تسيير دوريات مشتركة على الأرض
