Qatari Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Muḥammad ibn ‘Abd ar-Raḥmān Āl Tānī meets Lebanese President Joseph ‘Awn in Beirut and holds a series of meetings with Lebanese officials, discusses the latest developments in Lebanon and the ways to enhance the joint cooperation between the two countries.

Lebanese President Joseph ‘Awn received Qatari Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Muḥammad ibn ‘Abd ar-Raḥmān Āl Tānī in the Ba‘abdā Palace, where negotiations were held between the two sides addressing the latest developments in Lebanon and the ways of joint cooperation.
The Lebanese President told the Qatari Prime Minister that Lebanon “is looking forward for the return of the Qatari brothers”, pointing out that Qatar was always supporting the side of Lebanon, “supporting the Lebanese in difficult times”.
‘Awn highly appreciated the Qatari role supporting the economy of Lebanon, especially in the field of oil and gas, saying that his country “is looking forward to soon relaunch the extraction works in cooperation with the Total oil company”.
On his behalf the Qatari Prime Minister that his visit to Beirut is “a support visit from the State of Qatar to Lebanon”.
After his meeting with the Lebanese President in the Ba‘abdā Palace he said that his country “is looking forward to the formation of a new Lebanese government and to fulfilling the hopes of the Lebanese people”, once again praising the election of ‘Awn and the President of Lebanon.
He confirmed that “the indications show a positive picture in the region since the beginning of this year”, underlining the need to implement resolution 1701 “so Lebanon would regain its sovereignty”.
He underlined the “importance of implementing the ceasefire agreement and the withdrawal of the Israeli army from the South”, rejecting that “Israel violates the terms of the ceasefire agreement and violates the airspace of Lebanon”.
In this context the Qatari Prime Minister announced that his country “will be present at the reconstruction matter of Lebanon”, confirming the commitment of Doha to continue to support the Lebanese armed forces.
He pointed out that Qatar aims for the implementation of all the terms of the Gaza ceasefire and to implement the second phase.
Lebanese officials meeting with the Qatari Prime Minister: Negotiations about enhancing the cooperation
Later on Lebanese Speaker of the Parliament Nabīh Barrī received the Qatari Prime Minister in the second presidential seat at ‘Ayn at-Tayna in the presence of Qatari Ambassador to Lebanon Sa‘ūd ibn ‘Abd ar-Raḥmān Āl Tānī, Lebanese Ambassador to Qatar Faraḥ Barrī and Media Advisor to the Speaker of the Parliament ‘Alī Ḥamdān. The overall situation in Lebanon and the region was discussed along with the recent political and on the ground events, aside from the bilateral relations between Lebanon and Qatar.
The Qatari Prime Minister had an overview of the Israeli violations of the ceasefire agreement and U.N. resolution 1701 and the “Israel” is following a policy of systematic destruction of the villages along the border with occupied Palestine to turn them in scorched earth and aiming for not implementing the agreement sabotaging the works of the five party committee. Thus according to the National Media Agency.
Speaker of the Parliament Barrī confirmed to the Qatari Prime Minister that he will send him a detailed documentation about the daily Israeli violations and excesses to the ceasefire terms.
Barrī expressed his thanks to “Qatar, to its Amīr, government and people for always standing beside Lebanon in all ordeal in various levels in humanity and with faith and for its support for the military institutions”.
Appointed Prime Minister Nawāf Salām also received the Qatari Prime Minister on Tuesday night in his residence at Qarīṭam in the presence of State Minister for Foreign Affairs Muḥammad Halīfī and Qatari Ambassador to Lebanon Sa‘ūd ibn ‘Abd ar-Raḥmān Āl Tānī.
The Qatari Prime Minister confirmed the “preparedness of his country to continue to support Lebanon in various fields”, calling upon Salām to “visit Doha the soonest possible time”.
On his behalf Salām appreciated “the readiness of Doha to support Lebanon in their period”, and expressed his optimism “about the return of life into the relations with the Arab brothers with a positive impact on the reconstruction and attracting investments”.
The Qatari Prime Minister had arrived in Beirut earlier on Tuesday, where he held negotiations with acting Prime Minister Nağīb Mīqātī and held a meeting addressing the current situation in Lebanon and the region, but also the bilateral relations between the two countries.

استقبل الرئيس اللبناني، جوزف عون، رئيس الوزراء، وزير الخارجية القطري، محمد بن عبد. الرحمن، في قصر بعبدا، حيث جرت مباحثات بين الطرفين، تناولت آخر المستجدات في لبنان، وسبل تعزيز التعاون المشترك.
وقال عون لرئيس وزراء قطر إنّ لبنان “يتطلع إلى عودة الأشقاء القطريين إليه”، مشيراً إلى أنّه قطر كانت. دائماً إلى جانب لبنان، “مسانِدةً للبنانيين في الأوقات الصعبة”.
وثمّن عون عالياً الدور القطري في دعم اقتصاد لبنان، ولاسيما في قطاع النفط والغاز، قائلاً إنّ بلاده “تتطلع. إلى استئناف أعمال التنقيب قريباً بالتعاون مع شركة توتال” النفطية
بدوره، أكّد رئيس الوزراء القطري أنّ زيارته بيروت، هي “زيارة دعم من دولة قطر للبنان”.
وقال، بعد لقائه الرئيس اللبناني، في قصر بعبدا، إنّ بلاده “تتطلع إلى استكمال تشكيل الحكومة اللبنانية الجديدة، وتحقيق آمال الشعب اللبناني”، مجدِّداً الترحيب بانتخاب عون رئيساً للبنان
وأكد أنّ “المؤشرات تسير بصورة إيجابية في المنطقة، منذ بداية العام الجاري”، مشدداً على ضرورة تطبيق. القرار 1701، “ليستعيد لبنان سيادته”.
وشدد على “أهمية تنفيذ اتفاق وقف إطلاق النار، وانسحاب الجيش الإسرائيلي من الجنوب”، رافضاً “خروق. إسرائيل لبنود اتفاق وقف إطلاق النار وانتهاك الأجواء اللبنانية”.
وفي السياق، أعلن رئيس الوزراء القطري أنّ بلاده “ستكون حاضرة في ملف إعادة إعمار. لبنان”، مؤكّداً التزام الدوحة استمرار دعم القوات المسلحة اللبنانية.

وفي وقتٍ لاحق، استقبل رئيس مجلس النواب اللبناني، نبيه بري، في مقر الرئاسة الثانية في عين التينة، رئيس. مجلس الوزراء القطري، في حضور السفير القطري في لبنان، سعود بن عبد آلرحمن آل ثاني، وسفيرة. لبنان لدى قطر، فرح بري، والمستشار الإعلامي لرئيس المجلس النيابي علي حمدان، وجرى عرض للأوضاع العامة في لبنان. والمنطقة، والمستجدات السياسية والميدانية، إضافةً إلى العلاقات الثنائية بين لبنان قطر.

كذلك، استقبل الرئيس المكلف تشكيل الحكومة، نواف سلام، مساء اليوم، في دارته في قريطم، رئيس. الوزراء القطري، بحضور وزير الدولة للشؤون الخارجية، محمد الخليفي، وسفير قطر في لبنان سعود بن عبد آلرحمن آل ثاني.
وأكّد رئيس الوزراء القطري “استعداد بلاده لمواصلة دعم لبنان في مختلف المجالات”، داعياً سلام. إلى “زيارة الدوحة في أقرب فرصة ممكنة”.
من ناحيته ، ثمّن سلام “استعداد الدوحة لمساندة لبنان في هذه المرحلة”، وأبدى تفاؤله بـ”عودة. الحرارة إلى العلاقات بالأشقاء العرب، على نحو سينعكس إيجاباً على إعادة الاعمار وجذب الاستثمارات إليه”.
