يشار إلى أن السعودية شهدت منذ تولي ابن سلمان ولاية العهد، حملات اعتقالات متكررة طالت أمراء سعوديين، وكان آخرها في آذار/ مارس 2020، حينما تم اعتقال عشرة من أفراد العائلة المالكة، وتضمنت مصادرة مبالغ كبيرة من أموال الأمراء
