Prosecutor Attorney General in Lebanon Judge Ġassān ‘Awaydāt denies that the judicial hearing for the president of the Lebanese Forces Party Samīr Ğa‘ğa‘ would be suspended, and points out that “his hearing is a matter being followed up by the authorities in question”.
The Prosecutor Attorney General in Lebanon, Judge Ġassān ‘Awaydāt says that “there is no truth in what is circulated around about suspending the decree of judicial hearing for the president of the Lebanese Forces Party Samīr Ğa‘ğa‘ ”.
‘Adaywāt added in a statement that “the hearing for the president of the Lebanese Forcee Party is an ongoing matter by the authorities concerned”, thus pointing out that the “author in concerned are looking into it whether the questioning should be held by the intelligence department, or by an appointed judge”.
High ranking judicial sources for the al-Mayadeen confirmed that “there is no change in the decree of the Military Tribunal about Ğa‘ğa‘ arrest warrant”, thus pointing out that “the decision of the Lebanese government’s delegate at the Military Tribunal is to question him”.
The correspondent of al-Mayadeen had already reported previously today that the Military Tribunal issued an arrest warrant against Ğa‘ğa‘, and pointed out that “the warrant included a request for questioning and putting forward a testimony by President of the Lebanese Forces Party Samīr Ğa‘ğa‘ about the ambush at aṭ-Ṭayūna.
At the same time insightful sources had reported to the “Reuters” agency on Thursday that “the delegate of the government at the Military Tribunal Judge Fādī ‘Aqīqī gave out a notice for hearing the testimony of Ğa‘ğa‘ about the matter of aṭ-Ṭayūna. That came in the context of several admissions given by those arrested in this case. Judge ‘Aqīqī issued the notice to question Ğa‘ğa‘ in front of a military tribunal”.
This warrant came at a time, when the Lebanese political sides accuse the Lebanese Forces Party for being responsible for the ambush against the protesters, which led to the death of 7 citizens and the injury of dozens.
Ğa‘ğa‘ in his first reaction to the warrant said that before him first the Secretary General of Ḥizb Allah has to be taken and accused the government delegate to belong to Ḥizb Allah.
In an interview with the Lebanese “MTV” channel Ğa‘ğa‘ said that “what happened at aṭ-Ṭayūna is a tragic incident that should not have happened”.
In the same context the Maronite Patriarchate in Lebanon announced today, on Friday that it rejects “the return to the arbitrary accusations, sectarian militarization and dividing media”. This came only one day after the warrant by the military tribunal against the president of the Lebanese Forces Party to take his testimony about the events at aṭ-Ṭayūna last week”.
On its Twitter account the Patriarchate confirmed that “we refuse to return to the set slogans, isolating attempts and conciliatory settlements”, and according to the tweet’s text it also refused “to return to invent issues against this or that party, to choose scapegoats and misplaced revenge at the place of justice””
Ḥizb Allah Secretary General Ḥasan Naṣr Allah has confirmed previously that “the real program of the Lebanese Forces is a civil war, which will lead to demographic changes”. That makes it “an existential threat for the Christians in Lebanon”.
He exposed that Ğa‘ğa‘ “agitated some of his old allies a month ago for a confrontation with Ḥizb Allah“, thus pointing out that “the [Lebanese] Force Party does not leave behind the old language of war and division. That is what set the stage for the last crime” at aṭ-Ṭayūna.

النائب العام التمييزي في لبنان، القاضي غسان عويدات، ينفي تجميد قرار القضاء الاستماع إلى رئيس حزب القوات اللبنانية سمير جعجع، ويشير إلى أنّ “الاستماع إليه هو موضوع متابعة من السلطات المعنية”
قال النائب العام التمييزي في لبنان، القاضي غسان عويدات، إنّه “لا صحة لما تم التداول به عن تجميد قرار القضاء الاستماع إلى رئيس حزب القوات اللبنانية سمير جعجع
وـأضاف عويدات في بيان أنّ “الاستماع إلى رئيس حزب القوات اللبنانية موضوع متابعة من السلطات المعنية”، مشيراً إلى أنّ “السلطات المعنية تبحث ما إذا كان الاستجواب في فرع المخابرات أم عند القاضي صاحب التكليف”
مصادر قضائية رفيعة أكّدت للميادين أنّه “لا تغيير في قرار القضاء العسكري باستدعاء جعجع”، ولفتت إلى أنّ “قرار مفوض الحكومة اللبنانية لدى المحكمة العسكرية هو الاستماع إليه
وكان مراسل الميادين، قد أفاد في وقت سابق اليوم، بإصدار القضاء العسكري مذكرة استدعاء بحق جعجع، وأشار إلى أنّ “المذكرة تتضمّن طل الاستماع إلى إفادة رئيس حزب القوات اللبنانية سمير جعجع بشأن كمين الطيونة
هذا وكانت مصادر مطَّلعة لوكالة “رويترز”، قد أفادت أمس الخميس، بأنّ “مفوّض الحكومة لدى المحكمة العسكرية، القاضي فادي عقيقي، أعطى إشارة بالاستماع إلى إفادة جعجع في ملف الطيونة، وذلك على خلفية الاعترافات التي أدلى بها الموقوفون في هذا الملف… وتقضي إشارة القاضي عقيقي بالاستماع إلى جعجع أمامه في المحكمة العسكرية
ويأتي هذا الاستدعاء في وقت تتهم عدة أطراف لبنانية حزبَ القوات اللبنانية بالمسؤولية عن الكمين الذي نُصِب للمتظاهرين، والذي أدى إلى استشهاد 7 مواطنين وجرح العشرات
جعجع وفي أول تعليقٍ له على القرار، قال إنه يجب الاستماع قبله إلى الأمين العام لحزب الله، واتهمَ مفوض الحكومة بالتبعية لحزب الله
وفي مقابلةٍ مع قناة “أم تي في” اللبنانية قال جعجع إنَّ “ما حصل في الطيونة حدثٌ مشؤومٌ ما كان يجب أن يحدث
في السياق ذاته، صرحت البطريركية المارونية في لبنان، اليوم الجمعة، أنّها ترفض “العودة إلى الاتّهامات الاعتباطيّة، والتجييش الطائفيّ، والإعلام الفتنويّ”، وذلك بعد يوم من استدعاء المحكمة العسكرية رئيس حزب القوات اللبنانية للاستماع إلى إفادته في أحداث الطيونة الأسبوع الفائت
وفي حسابها على موقع “تويتر”، أكدت البطريركية أنّها “ترفض العودة إلى الشعارات الجاهزة، ومحاولات العزل، وتسوياتِ الترضية”، كما ترفض أيضاً “أن نعود إلى اختلاق الملفّات ضدَ هذا الفريق أو ذاك، واختيار أناس أكباش محرقة، وإحلال الانتقام مكان العدالة”، بحسب نص التغريدة
وكان الأمين العام لحزب الله، السيد حسن نصر الله، قد أكّد في وقت سابق، أنّ “البرنامج الحقيقي للقوات اللبنانية هو الحرب الأهلية التي ستؤدي إلى تغيير ديمغرافي”، وهذا ما يجعله “أكبر تهديد للوجود المسيحي في لبنان”
وكشف أنّ جعجع “حرّض بعض الحلفاء القدامى قبل أشهر على المواجهة مع حزب الله”، مشيراً إلى أنّ “حزب القوات لا يترك لغة الحرب القديمة ولغة التقسيم، وهو الذي حضّر مسرح الجريمة الأخيرة” في الطيونة
