The Lebanese Foreign Ministry condemned the Israeli aggressions against the Damascus International Airport and deems it a terrorist act making the suffering of the Syrian people worse.
On Sunday the Lebanese Foreign Ministry issued a statement that condemned the Israeli aggression that happened on Friday night against the Damascus International Airport, expressing that it is “a terrorist act” making the sufferings of the Syrian people worse.
The statement of the Lebanese Foreign Ministry stated: that Lebanon “condemns the Israeli aggression against the Damascus International Airport and disabling its operation, and sees in this a terrorist act targeting a vital civilian installation, which plays an important role in limiting the crisis in which the Syrian people live”.
The Lebanese Foreign Ministry confirmed “its stance and support for the Syrian side confronting the repeated Israeli aggressions, in which it sees a confirmation of Israel’s aggression and its policy to interfere in the internal matters of the regional states”.
The Syrian Ministry of Transport announced on Friday the suspension of all areal journeys coming to and going from Damascus International Airport “as a result of certain technical equipment went out of service in and around the airport”.
On its Telegram site, the Ministry explained that the date on which journeys are to be continued through Damascus International Airport will be announced immediately after the installations are repaired, their integrity is checked and the safety of the airport’s operation is confirmed in cooperation with the air service providers.
On his behalf, the correspondent of al-Mayadeen reported that there is information about damage to the communication equipment and the towers by the repeated Israeli aggressions, the last of them coming yesterday against the vicinity of the airport.
On Friday dawn the air defense of the Syrian army announced that it confronted Israeli areal aggression carried out by missile barrages originating from the occupied Syrian Ğūlān Heights targeting the southern part of the Syrian capital Damascus.
The source added: that the Syrian air defense capabilities “confronted the enemy missiles and shot down most of them”. The aggression led to “the injury of one civilian and some material damage has also happened”.

وزارة الخارجية اللبنانية تدين الاعتداء الإسرائيلي على مطار دمشق الدولي، وتعده عملاً إرهابياً يفاقم معاناة الشعب السوري
أصدرت وزارة الخارجية اللبنانية، اليوم الأحد، بياناً دانت فيه الاعتداء الإسرائيلي الذي وقع ليل الجمعة الفائت على مطار دمشق الدولي، معتبرةً أنّه “عمل إرهابي” يفاقم معاناة الشعب السوري.
وقال بيان وزارة الخارجية والمغتربين اللبنانية: إنّ لبنان “يدين الاعتداء الإسرائيلي على مطار دمشق الدولي وتعطيل العمل فيه، ويرى في ذلك عملاً أرهابياً استهدف مرفقاً مدنياً حيوياً يؤدي دوراً مهماً في التخفيف من الأزمة التي يعيشها السوريون”.
وأكّدت وزارة الخارجية اللبنانية “وقوفها الدائم إلى جانب سوريا في تصدّيها للاعتداءات الإسرائيلية المتكررة، التي ترى فيها تأكيداً لعدوانية إسرائيل وسياساتها التدخلية في شؤون دول المنطقة”.
وأعلنت وزارة النقل السورية، الجمعة الفائت، تعليق الرحلات الجوية القادمة والمغادرة عبر مطار دمشق الدولي “نتيجة توقف عمل بعض التجهيزات الفنية في المطار وخروجها عن الخدمة”.
الوزارة قالت في صفحتها على “تلغرام”: “سيجري إعلان مواعيد تسيير الرحلات عبر مطار دمشق الدولي فور إصلاح التجهيزات والتثبّت من سلامتها وأمان الحركة التشغيلية في المطار، وبالتنسيق مع النواقل الجوية”.
مراسل الميادين أفاد بدوره بوجود معلومات عن تضرر أجهزة اتصال وأبراج من جراء الاعتداءات الإسرائيلية المتكررة، وآخرها الاعتداء على محيط مطار دمشق يوم الجمعة.
وكانت الدفاعات الجوية في الجيش السوري قد أعلنت، فجر الجمعة، أنّها تصدّت لعدوانٍ إسرائيلي جوي برشقات من الصواريخ مصدرها الجولان السوري المحتل استهدف جنوب العاصمة السورية دمشق.
وأضاف المصدر: أنّ وسائط الدفاع الجوي السوري “تصدّت لصواريخ العدوان وأسقطت معظمها”، فيما أدى العدوان إلى “إصابة مواطن مدني بجروحٍ ووقوع بعض الأضرار المادية
