The reporter of al-Mayadeen confirms more than 15 bombshells within the presidential palaces and around it in Basra and points out that clashes have happened between the Popular Mobilization [al-Ḥašd aš-Ša‘abī] and unknown armed forces.
On Tuesday the correspondent of al-Mayadeen reported that more than 15 bombshells fell within the presidential palaces and around it in Basra in Southern Iraq.
The correspondent pointed out the shooting was exchanged between a unit of the Popular Mobilization [al-Ḥašd aš-Ša‘abī] and unknown armed troops close to the Presidential Palaces.
The Security Media Unit in the Iraqi Joint Operations Command on Monday called upon all protesters to “preserve the peaceful nature of the protests, not to let conspirators be present within the protests and to fully cooperate with the security forces within the city of an-Nāṣiriyya, capital of Dī Qār Province.
The Security Media Unit statement mentioned that “the security forces take huge efforts to secure the protection of the peaceful protesters demanding their deserved rights, yet there are misguided and destructive elements beyond the law conspiring within the protesting groups in Dī Qār Province. They burned tents belonging to the Municipality of Dī Qār Province. This is an act not allowed and punished by the law”.
According to the security sources and eyewitnesses, 15 members of the security forces suffered injuries following security confrontations shadowing some protests that broke out within the city of an-Nāṣiriyya last night, where the security forces guarded the protests.
The sources explained that the security turmoil in the city an-Nāṣiriyya and close to the Ğisr an-Nāṣiriyya went on until the early hours after midnight while the security forces underlined that no live fire is to be used guarding the protesters.
The security authorities in Dī Qār Province held a meeting to look over the implications of the events in the province. In this participation, the leadership of the operations, the police, and the National Security handle the security situation to stop the chaos and detain the perpetrators who tried to burn down police offices and governmental buildings.
Previously Iraqi Prime Minister Muṣṭafā al-Kāẓimī confirmed that the crisis in Iraq might burn everyone unless there is a real dialogue between the political forces.
He added: “We live in a time in which morals and virtues have declined in the political world, the language of accusations and charges of treason took over the language of calming and dialogue that would lead to solution”.
Iraq is suffering from a political crisis that has been exacerbated recently by the resignation of the aṣ-Ṣadrī Movement’s parliamentary faction. There were many protests by the supporters of the aṣ-Ṣadrī Movement within the Green Zone in Baghdad rejecting the candidacy of the Conciliatory Framework Coalition Muḥammad Šayyā‘ as-Sūdānī for the post of Prime Minister.
The relative peace returned to Iraq after the supporters of the aṣ-Ṣadrī Movement withdrew from the Green Zone and the Conciliatory Framework ended the protest of its supporters in the capital Baghdad on 30 August.
This comes after sporadic clashes in Baghdad, which led to the death of 23 people, while also not less than 380 persons suffered injuries.

أفاد مراسل الميادين، اليوم الثلاثاء، بسقوط أكثر من 15 قذيفة داخل القصور الرئاسية في البصرة وفي محيطها جنوبي العراق
وأشار المراسل إلى تبادل إطلاق النار بين قوة من “الحشد الشعبي” وعناصر مسلحة مجهولة قرب القصور الرئاسية
وكانت خلية الإعلام الأمني في قيادة العمليات المشتركة العراقية، دعت أمس الإثنين، جميع المتظاهرين إلى “الحفاظ على سلمية المظاهرات، وعدم السماح للمندسين بالتواجد داخل المظاهرات، والتعاون التام مع القوات الأمنية وسط مدينة الناصرية مركز محافظة ذي قار
وذكر بيان لخلية الإعلام الأمني أنّ “القوات الأمنية تبذل جهوداً كبيرة لتأمين الحماية للمتظاهرين السلميين المطالبين بحقوقهم المشروعة، إلاّ أنّ هناك عناصر ضالة ومخربة خارجة عن القانون تندس وسط جموع المتظاهرين في محافظة ذي قار، أقدمت على حرق كرفانات تابعة لمبنى محافظة ذي قار وهو أمر مرفرض ويعاقب عليه القانون
وبحسب مصادر أمنية وشهود عيان، أصيب 15 عنصراً من القوات الأمنية بجروح على خلفية اضطرابات أمنية رافقت مظاهرات خرجت وسط مدينة الناصرية الليلة الماضية حيث قامت القوات الأمنية بتفريق المظاهرات
وأوضحت المصادر أنّ التوتر الأمني في مدينة الناصرية وقرب جسر الناصرية استمر حتى ساعات بعد منتصف الليلة الماضية مع تشديد القوات الأمنية على عدم استخدام الرصاص الحي لتفريق المحتجين
وعقدت السلطات الأمنية في محافظة ذي قار اجتماعاً لمتابعة تداعيات الأحداث وسط المحافظة ضمت قيادات العمليات والشرطة والأمن الوطني، للتعامل مع الوضع الأمني لإيقاف الفوضى، وإعتقال الملثمين الذين حاولوا حرق الدوائر والأبنية الحكومية.
وفي وقت سابق، أكّد رئيس الحكومة العراقية مصطفى الكاظمي أنّ الأزمة في العراق قد تحرق الجميع، ما لم يكُن هناك حوار حقيقي بين الأطراف السياسية.
وأضاف: “نحن نعيش زمناً تلاشت فيه القيم والأخلاق في عالم السياسة، وغلبت لغة الاتهام والتخوين على لغة التهدئة والحوار، وصولاً إلى الحل
ويعاني العراق أزمة سياسية استفحلت أخيراً مع استقالة نواب الكتلة الصدرية من البرلمان. وشهد احتجاجات عدة من المؤيدين لـ”التيار الصدري” داخل المنطقة الخضراء في بغداد، اعتراضاً على ترشيح تحالف “الإطار التنسيقي” محمد شياع السوداني لمنصب رئيس الحكومة.
وعاد الهدوء نسبياً إلى العراق بعد انسحاب أنصار “التيار الصدري” من المنطقة الخضراء، وإنهاء “الإطار التنسيقي” اعتصام أنصاره في العاصمة بغداد في 30 آب/أغسطس.
أتى ذلك بعد اشتباكات متقطعة في بغداد، ما أدى إلى سقوط نحو 23 قتيلاً، وإصابة ما لا يقل عن 380 شخصاً
