Commander of the “Jerusalem Forces” at the Iranian Revolutionary Guards Ismā‘el Qāanī meets the leader of the aṣ-Ṣadrī Movement Muqtadā aṣ-Ṣadr in the holy city of an-Nağaf in order to solve the political crisis connected to the formation of the new government.
Commander of the “Jerusalem Forces” at the Iranian Revolutionary Guards Ismā‘el Qāanī meets the leader of the aṣ-Ṣadrī Movement in Iraq Muqtadā aṣ-Ṣadr on Tuesday in an-Nağaf.
The personal office of aṣ-Ṣadr stated in a brief statement that “the leader of the aṣ-Ṣadrī Movement Muqtadā aṣ-Ṣadr welcomes the commander of the Jerusalem Forces Ismā‘el Qāanī at al-Ḥanāna in the province of holy an-Nağaf”.
After the meeting aṣ-Ṣadr made a post on Twitter including a picture of a paper carrying his signature and seal and it is written on it: “Nor Western, nor Eastern. National Majority Government”.

A political source revealed on Monday that the Commander of the “Jerusalem Forces” Ismā‘el Qāanī held a series of busy meetings in the Iraqi capital Baghdad in order to solve the political crisis connected to the formation of the new government.
It should be mentioned that the aṣ-Ṣadrī Block in Iraq announced on Saturday the suspension of negotiations with the political blocks about the formation of the Iraqi government and also decided to boycott the parliament’s special session about to be held to elect the new President of the country.
The president of the aṣ-Ṣadrī Block in in the Iraqi parliament, MP Ḥasan al-‘Adārī said in a press conference: “By the order of the aṣ-Ṣadrī Movement’s leader, Muqtadā aṣ-Ṣadr the boycott of the special session to elect the president of the country was decided, the only exception is the first deputy of the Speaker of the Parliament”.
Previously the leader of the aṣ-Ṣadrī Movement Muqtadā aṣ-Ṣadr encouraged the MPs of his faction not to vote for the candidate of the Kurdistan Democratic Party as President of Iraq, as he does not fulfill the requirements.

التقى قائد “قوة القدس” في حرس الثورة الإيراني إسماعيل قاآني، زعيم التيار الصدري في العراق مقتدى الصدر، الثلاثاء، في النجف.
وقال مكتب الصدر الخاص في بيان مقتضب إن “زعيم التيار الصدري مقتدى الصدر يستقبل قائد فيلق القدس الإيراني إسماعيل قاآني في الحنانة في محافظة النجف الأشرف”.
وعقب اللقاء، نشر الصدر تغريدة في”تويتر” تتضمن صورة ورقة تحمل توقيعه وختمه، كُتب عليها: “لا شرقية ولا غربية، حكومة أغلبية وطنية
وكشف مصدر سياسي، يوم الإثنين، عن قيام قائد “قوة القدس” إسماعيل قاآني بعقد اجتماعات مكثفة في العاصمة العراقية بغداد، من أجل حل الأزمة السياسية المتربطة بتشكيل الحكومة الجديدة.
يُذكر أن الكتلة الصدرية في العراق أعلنت يوم السبت تجميد المفاوضات مع الكتل السياسية بشأن تشكيل الحكومة العراقية، وقررت أيضاً مقاطعة جلسة مجلس النواب المخصصة لانتخاب رئيس للجمهورية.
وقال رئيس الكتلة الصدرية في مجلس النواب العراقي، النائب حسن العذاري، في مؤتمر صحافي: “بأمر زعيم التيار الصدري السيد مقتدى الصدر، تقرر مقاطعة الجلسة المخصصة لانتخاب رئيس الجمهورية، ويستثنى من ذلك النائب الأول لرئيس البرلمان”.
وفي وقت سابق، حث زعيم التيار الصدري، مقتدى الصدر، نواب كتلته على عدم التصويت لمرشح الحزب الديمقراطي الكردستاني لرئاسة العراق، ما لم يكن مستوفياً للشروط.
