An Iranian source reveals the American concession about closing the southern corridor in the Strait of Hormuz, while Iran is adamant to completely end the war to open up the strait.

The correspondent of al-Mayadeen citing an Iranian source confirmed that the United States presented a concession to Iran about closing the southern passageway in the Strait of Hormuz.
On Monday the Iranian source reported that Tehran has responded to the latest American suggestion by refusing to open the Strait of Hormuz until the total end of the war.
During the last weeks and apart from its attacks against çekme regions in Iran, Washington agitated ships to cross the illegal corridors in the Strait of Hormuz, while the ships suffered accidents and some returned to the Gulf, while the strait continues to be closed because of the aggression.
Iran held on to its right to control the Strait of Hormuz in coordination with the Sultanate of Oman and the states of the region, which was stated in Memorandum of Understanding in June.
In this context American President Donald Trump on Saturday night said that “there will be an agreement about the Strait of Hormuz, pointing out that another agreement will be about the Iranian nuclear program”.
Trump added that “the United States is talking with Iran about the form of the negotiations that are supposed to start on Monday night”.
On the other hand official spokesman of the Iranian Foreign Ministry Esmā‘īl Baqā’ī underlined that Iran is not conducting any negotiations currently with the United States and that the members of the negotiating delegation are in the country. He added that “there are no plans to host and delegation, or mediation, or to travel to hold negotiations during these days”.
Baqā’ī added that the negotiations Iran is having with the Sultanate of Oman concentrates on the understanding about the safe passage to cross the Strait of Hormuz, confirming that these are bilateral negotiations and do concern any other party.

أكد مراسل الميادين نقلاً عن مصدر إيراني أنّ الولايات المتحدة قدّمت تنازلاً لإيران يتعلّق بإغلاق المسار الجنوبي في مضيق هرمز.
وأفاد المصدر الإيراني، اليوم الاثنين، بأنّ طهران ردّت على المقترح الأميركي الأخير برفض فتح مضيق هرمز حتى نهاية الحرب تماماً
وخلال الأسابيع الماضية وإلى جانب اعتداءاتها على مناطق في إيران، حرّضت واشنطن سفناً لعبور ممرات غير قانونية في مضيق هرمز مما عرّض هذه السفن لحوادث وقد أُعيد بعضها إلى الخليج، وذلك مع استمرار إغلاق المضيق بسبب العدوان.
وتتمسّك إيران بحقّها في إدارة مضيق هرمز، بالتنسيق مع سلطنة عُمان ودول المنطقة، وهو ما نصّت عليه مذكّرة التفاهم في حزيران/يونيو الماضي
وفي السياق، قال الرئيس الأميركي دونالد ترامب، ليل الأحد – الاثنين، إنّه “سيكون هناك اتفاق بشأن مضيق هرمز، مشيراً إلى اتفاق آخر يتعلّق بالبرنامج النووي الإيراني”.
وأضاف ترامب أنّ “الولايات المتحدة تتحدّث مع إيران بشأن شكل المفاوضات، على أن تبدأ مساء الاثنين”.
في المقابل، شدّد المتحدّث باسم وزارة الخارجية الإيرانية إسماعيل بقائي على أنّ إيران لا تجري أيّ محادثات في الوقت الحالي مع الولايات المتحدة، وأنّ أعضاء وفد التفاوض موجودون في البلاد، مضيفاً أنه “ليس من المقرّر استضافة أيّ وفود وسيطة أو السفر لإجراء مفاوضات خلال هذه الأيام”.
وأوضح بقائي أنّ المفاوضات التي تجريها إيران مع سلطنة عُمان تتركّز على التفاهم بشأن مسار آمن للمرور في مضيق هرمز، مؤكّداً أنّها محادثات ثنائية ولا تخصّ أيّ طرف آخر
