Iranian Foreign Minister Ḥosseyn Amīr ‘Abdollahiyān and his Qatari colleague Muḥammad ibn ‘Abd ar-Raḥmān Āl Tānī held a telephone conversation and studied the overall development of the relations between Tehran and Doha.
Iranian Foreign Minister Ḥosseyn Amīr ‘Abdollahiyān and Qatari Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Muḥammad ibn ‘Abd ar-Raḥmān Āl Tānī over the telephone via studied the various matters with common interest between the two countries.
The two ministers exchanged views about the Vienna negotiations about lifting sanctions imposed on Iran, but also the overall development of the relations between Tehran and Doha. Also the matters connected to the World Cup, which will be held in Qatar.
In a similar context, the Qatari Foreign Minister confirmed yesterday “the importance of filling Iranian oil to the markets and its role in the stability of the crude prices”. Thus also points out that his country “presently takes efforts in all its endeavors to cover the needs in the European energy markets”.
Qatari Emir Tamīm ibn Ḥamad Āl Tānī visited Iran a few days ago in his broader tour, in which he studied the efforts to reach a nuclear agreement.
It should be remembered that the Vienna talks also included Great Britain, France, Russia, and China have been frozen since 11 March. At that stage, the Western and the Iranian officials said that “the text of the nuclear agreement is practically ready”.
About this official spokesman of the Iranian Foreign Ministry Sa‘ad Haṭībzāde confirmed that Iran “gave a number of initiatives at the Vienna talks and it is still waiting for the American response to these suggestions”.

بحث وزير الخارجية الإيراني، حسين أمير عبد اللهيان، هاتفياً مع نائب رئيس الوزراء وزير الخارجية القطري، محمد بن عبد الرحمن آل ثاني، مختلف القضايا ذات الاهتمام المشترك بين البلدين.
وتبادل الوزيران وجهات النظر حول مفاوضات فيينا لرفع الحظر عن إيران وكذلك التطوير الشامل للعلاقات بين طهران والدوحة، فضلاً عن القضايا المتعلقة ببطولة كأس العالم التي ستجري في قطر.
وفي السياق، أكّد وزير الخارجية القطري أمس “أهمية ضخ النفط الإيراني في الأسواق، ودوره في استقرار أسعار الخام”، مشيراً إلى أنّ بلاده “تبذل حالياً كل ما في وسعها لتغطية نواقص أسواق الطاقة الأوروبية”.
وكان أمير قطر تميم بن حمد آل ثاني زار إيران قبل أيام ضمن جولة أوسع بحث فيها جهود التوصّل إلى اتفاق نووي.
يذكر أنّ محادثات فيينا، التي تضمّ أيضاً بريطانيا وفرنسا وألمانيا وروسيا والصين، جمّدت منذ 11 آذار/مارس. وفي تلك المرحلة، قال مسؤولون غربيون وإيرانيون إنّ “نصّ الاتفاق النووي مكتمل تقريباً”.
فيما أكّد المتحدث باسم وزارة الخارجية الإيرانية، سعيد خطيب زاده أنّ إيران “قدّمت مبادرات عدّة في محادثات فيينا وما زلنا ننتظر الرد الأميركي على هذه المقترحات
