Ẓarīf and ibn ‘Alawī both confirm the commitment of Iran and the Sultanate of Oman to the “continuation of cooperation and conciliation with the aim of providing maritime and energetic security for everyone”.
The Iranian Foreign Ministry announced that Minister Muḥammad Ğavād Ẓarīf with his Omani colleague Yūsaf ibn ‘Alawī today in Tehran studied the “regional situations and the bilateral cooperation about the Straits of Hormuz”.
The “Tasmim” News Agency said that the two ministers “confirmed the commitment of Iran and Oman to the continuation of the cooperation and the conciliation in the aim to provide maritime and energetic safety of all”.
As both of them called upon all to play “a positive role in this action”.
The Omani Foreign Ministry had announced that Yūsaf ibn ‘Alawī will meet with Ẓarīf in Tehran today, Sunday, to seek maritime security in the Straits of Hormuz.
The Omani Foreign Ministry pointed out in a tweet on “Twitter” that “on the way to the Sultanate after finishing the works in the global economic forum in Davos Yūsaf ibn ‘Alawī meets today in Tehran with Iranian Foreign Minister dr. Muḥammad Ğavād Ẓarīf. That is to study the bilateral relations and the situation in the region, with special attention to the maritime safety in the Straits of Hormuz”.
The Omani Foreign Minister visits Tehran for the third time in less than a month, since he met Ẓarīf on 21 this January, just like he attended on 8th of the same month the participants of the “Tehran International Forum for Dialogue”

أعلنت وزارة الخارجیة الإيرانية أنّ الوزير محمد جواد ظريف بحث مع نظيره العُماني يوسف بن علوي اليوم في طهران “المستجدات الإقليمية والتعاون الثنائي بخصوص مضيق هرمز
وكالة “تسنيم” تحدثت عن أنّ الوزيران ” أكدا عزم إيران وعُمان على استمرار التعاون والتشاور بهدف توفير أمن الملاحة البحرية وأمن الطاقة للجميع
كما وجّه الطرفان الدعوة إلى الجميع للقيام “بدور إيجابي في هذه العملية
الخارجية العُمانية كانت قد أعلنت أنّ بن علوي سيجتمع بظريف في طهران اليوم الأحد، لبحث أمن الملاحة البحرية في مضيق هرمز
وأشارت الخارجية العُمانية في تغريدة على “تويتر” إلى أنّه “في طريق عودته إلى السلطنة بعد إختتام أعمال المنتدى الاقتصادي العالمي بدافوس، يجتمع بن علوي اليوم في طهران بالدكتور محمد جواد ظريف وزير الخارجية الإيراني، وذلك لبحث العلاقات الثنائية والأوضاع في المنطقة، وعلى وجه الخصوص أمن الملاحة في مضيق هرمز
