The Israeli media reveals the position of Saudi Arabia and the Emirates about joining the international coalition on the Red Sea and dealing with the threats from Yemen.
Arabic affairs commentator of the Israeli KAN channel Rui Cays says that the Arab state that had openly joined the international coalition formed by the United States in the Red Sea is Bahrain, adding that Bahraini sources told him that is “because of the presence of an American fleet in Bahrain”.
Cays added that Saudi Arabia did not join the “Guardian of Prosperity” after reporting this week that it strives for an agreement to end the war with Sana’a, while it is also worried about being fired upon.
The Arabic affairs commentator of the Israeli KAN channel said that the Emirates has confirmed that it studies the matter of joining the naval coalition on the Red Sea “if Washington decided to launch a very important strike against Sana’a”.
On its behalf, the American New York Times newspaper mentioned that in light of the American support for the Israeli war against Gaza, it doesn’t seem that any state in the region wishes to link itself to the United States in a military venture.
The newspaper reported that there was a visible absence of the Arab state when American State Secretary Lloyd Ashton announced that the United States would organize a new naval task force to combat “the threat” that is posed by the Yemenis on the Red Sea.
Earlier on Wednesday the newspaper mentioned that the “Guardian of Prosperity” operation is a “symbolic step”, which on the one hand allows the White House to say more states support the security of the Red Sea, while on the other hand “increases the trust of the cargo companies”.
On Wednesday the Political Bureau of the Anṣār Allah Movement confirmed that the international coalition that was announced by the United States “with the pretext of the protection of maritime movement on Red Sea” aims to “protect the Israeli Occupying Entity and the Israeli ships”. Also that this coalition “is an inseparable part of the aggression against the Palestinian people and against Gaza”. It also aims to “encourage the Occupation to continue with its crimes”.
The Pentagon said that the force in charge of the protection of maritime movement on the Red Sea includes Bahrain, Great Britain, Canada, France, Italy, the Netherlands, Norway, and the Seychelles.
On a number of times, the Yemeni forces have confirmed that they will not target any ship on the Red Sea that is heading towards the international ports, underlining that they will only target the Israeli ships or those that are heading towards Israeli ports until the aggression and the blockade against the Gaza Strip are lifted and the air is delivered there.

كشفت وسائل إعلام إسرائيلية موقفَي السعودية والإمارات بشأن الانضمام إلى التحالف في البحر الأحمر، والتعامل مع التهديدات من اليمن.
وقال معلق الشؤون العربية في قناة “كان” الإسرائيلية، روعي كايس، إنّ الدولة العربية، التي انضمت علناً إلى الائتلاف الدولي الذي شكلته الولايات المتحدة في البحر الأحمر، هي البحرين، مضيفاً أنّ مصدراً بحرينياً قال له إنّ ذلك “بسبب وجود الأسطول الأميركي في البحرين”.
وأضاف كايس أنّ السعودية لم تنضم إلى تحالف “حارس الازدهار”، بعد أن أُفيد، هذا الأسبوع، بأنّها تسعى لاتفاق يُنهي الحرب مع صنعاء، بالإضافة إلى خشيتها من توجيه النيران نحوها.
وقال معلق الشؤون العربية في قناة “كان” الإسرائيلية إنّ الإمارات أكّدت أنّها تدرس مسألة انضمامها إلى التحالف البحري في البحر الأحمر، “إذا أقرّت واشنطن توجيه ضربة مهمة جداً ضد صنعاء”.
بدورها، ذكرت صحيفة “نيويورك تايمز” الأميركية أنّه، في ظل الدعم الأميركي للحرب الإسرائيلية على غزة، لا يبدو أنّ أيّ دولة في المنطقة ترغب في الارتباط بالولايات المتحدة في مغامرةٍ عسكرية.
وأوردت الصحيفة أنّه كان هناك غياب ملحوظ بين الدول العربية المشاركة، عندما أعلن وزير الدفاع الأميركي، لويد أوستن، أنّ الولايات المتحدة تنظم قوة عمل بحرية جديدة لمواجهة “التهديد” الذي يشكله اليمنيون في البحر الأحمر.
وكانت الصحيفة أفادت، في وقت سابق اليوم، بأنّ عملية “حارس الازدهار” هي “خطوة رمزية” تسمح للبيت الأبيض من جهة، بالقول إنّ مزيداً من الدول يدعم أمن البحر الأحمر، وترمي، من جهةٍ ثانية، إلى “زيادة الثقة لدى شركات الشحن”.
واليوم، أكّد المكتب السياسي لحركة أنصار الله أنّ التحالف الدولي، الذي أعلنته الولايات المتحدة، “بحجّة حماية الملاحة البحرية في البحر الأحمر”، يهدف إلى “حماية كيان الاحتلال الإسرائيلي والسفن الإسرائيلية”، وأنّ هذا التحالف “جزءٌ لا يتجزأ من العدوان على الشعب الفلسطيني وعلى غزة”، كما يهدف إلى “تشجيع الاحتلال على مواصلة جرائمه”.
وقال البنتاغون إنّ القوة المعنية بحماية الملاحة في البحر الأحمر تضمّ كلاً من البحرين وبريطانيا وكندا وفرنسا وإيطاليا وهولندا والنرويج وسيشل.
وأكّدت القوات اليمنية، أكثر من مرّة، أنّها لن تستهدف أيّ سفينة في البحر الأحمر إن كانت مُتجهة نحو الموانئ العالمية، مشددةً على أنّها ستستهدف السفن الإسرائيلية، أو تلك المتجهة إلى الموانئ الإسرائيلية فقط، حتى رفع العدوان والحصار عن قطاع غزّة، وإدخال المساعدات له
