The Conciliatory Framework in Iraq gathers to confirm its insistence that “the only candidate” for Prime Minister is Muḥammad Šayyā‘ as-Sūdānī and discusses the steps to relaunch the work of the parliament.
On Monday the Conciliatory Framework in Iraq renews its insistence that its only candidate for the post of Prime Minister is Muḥammad Šayyā‘ as-Sūdānī, denying “all other gossips contrary to this”.
The “Conciliatory Framework” during its meeting with the attendance of all its leadership discusses “the steps it takes with its allies in order to relaunch the works of the parliament and to fulfill its constitutional duties”.
The participants values “the great efforts that were taken in order to make the al-Arba‘īn for Imām Ḥussayn pilgrimage a success”.
On its behalf Member of the al-Fatḥ Coalition, ‘Alī al-Fatlāwī said that “Muḥammad Šayyā‘ as-Sūdānī is considered the candidate for the post of Prime Minister by the Shia block. His status is the same as the other presidential candidates of the Sunnis and the Kurds”.
He pointed out that “there is a huge possibility, as the next few days will witness a breaking point for the political crisis, so there will be a major step towards fulfilling the constitutional duties and forming the new government”.
On his behalf on Monday the Iraqi Prime Minister Muṣṭafā al-Kāẓimī called upon the National and political forces to “exercise calm and patience and use the language of dialogue and consciousness, to act with restraint and high national spirit”.
Al-Kāẓimī underlined that “the current political crisis is difficult, but the gates of the solution are still open. That requires calm candid dialogue and putting the interests of Iraq and its people above all else”.
On 12 September the Conciliatory Framework confirmed that it goes on with the dialogue with all parties in order to fulfill the constitutional duties, expressing “its huge gratitude for the national and constitutional stances of the Sovereignty Coalition and the Kurdistani Democratic Party after their meeting in Irbīl”.
The Conciliatory Framework confirmed that it will take all efforts it can in order to speed up surpassing the painful conditions and secure the participation of all”. Thus also revealing “that it reached developed understandings with the national forces”, underlining “its full commitment to the candidacy of Muḥammad Šayyā‘ as-Sūdānī for the post of Prime Minister”.
In July the Conciliatory Framework announced its proposal to form the new government with the premiership of Muḥammad Šayyā‘ as-Sūdānī despite the fact that the supporters of Muqtadā aṣ-Ṣadr raided the parliament building, refusing this.

جدّد الإطار التنسيقي في العراق، اليوم الإثنين، تمسكه بمرشحه الوحيد لرئاسة الوزراء، محمد شياع السوداني، نافياً “كل ما يشاع غير ذلك
وناقش “الإطار”، خلال اجتماعٍ حضرته كل قياداته، “الاستعدادات التي يبذلها مع حلفائه من أجل استئناف عمل مجلس النواب وقيامه بواجباته الدستورية
وثمّن المجتمعون “الجهود الكبيرة التي بُذلت من أجل إنجاح الزيارة الأربعينية للإمام الحسين
بدوره، قال عضو تحالف الفتح، علي الفتلاوي، إنّ “محمد شياع السوداني يُمثّل مرشح رئاسة الحكومة من جانب البيت الشيعي، حاله حال مرشحي الرئاسة الأخرى لدى السنة والكرد
ولفت إلى أنّ “هناك احتمالاً كبيراً لأن تشهد الأيام المقبلة انفراجة للأزمة السياسية بحيث يتم الذهاب لاستكمال الاستحقاقات الدستورية وتشكيل الحكومة الجديدة
من جانبه، دعا رئيس الحكومة العراقية، مصطفى الكاظمي، اليوم الإثنين، القوى الوطنية والسياسية إلى “التحلي بالهدوء والصبر، والركون إلى لغة الحوار والعقل، والتسلح بإرادة صلبة، وروح وطنية عالية
وشدد الكاظمي على أنّ “الأزمة السياسية الحالية صعبة، لكن أبواب الحل ما زالت مفتوحة، وهذا يتطلب حواراً هادئاً وصريحاً يضع مصلحة العراق وشعبه فوق الجميع
وفي 12 أيلول/سبتمبر الجاري، أكّد الإطار التنسيقي استمراره في الحوار مع جميع الأطراف من أجل تنفيذ الاستحقاقات الدستورية، معرباً عن “تقديره الكبير للموقف الوطني والدستوري لتحالف السيادة والحزب الديمقراطي الكردستاني بعد اجتماعهما في إربيل
وأكّد “الإطار” أنّه “سيبذل كل ما يستطيع من أجل الإسراع في تهيئة الظروف الملائمة وضمان مشاركة الجميع”، كاشفاً “وصوله إلى تفاهمات متقدمة مع القوى الوطنية”، ومشدداً على “تمسكه الكامل بمرشحه لرئاسة الوزراء محمد شياع السوداني
وكان الإطار التنسيقي أعلن، في تموز/يوليو الماضي، مضيه في تشكيل الحكومة الجديدة برئاسة محمد شياع السوداني، على رغم اقتحام أنصار مقتدى الصدر، الرافضين لذلك، مقر البرلمان
