The American Axios website has confirmed that according to an American official the Arab governments that had normalized with the Israeli Entity refused the request of American State Secretary Antony Blinken to condemn the Ḥamās Movement.
The website confirmed that Blinken has also talked with Saudi Foreign Minister Fayṣal ibn Farḥān about the attacks and after the conversation, Ibn Farḥān said in a statement that Saudi Arabia refused to target the Israelis, but did not condemn the attack of Ḥamās.
The website reported that President Biden’s campaign to reach a “historic peace agreement between Saudi Arabia and Israel suffered a major blow by the sudden Ṭūfān al-Aqṣā struggle against Israel”.
The website pointed out that the White House and the world now prepare for an Israeli response “much stronger” and they fear for a prolonged and widened fighting in the Middle East.
The website pointed out that the Israeli land raid against Gaza that might come as a response to the attack on Saturday might result in “escalation in other parts of the region”, pointing out that such an escalation makes the normalization between Riyadh and Israel difficult, if not impossible”.
The website cited an American official saying that “the worry in the last few weeks was linked to intelligence reports showing that Ḥizb Allah might launch an attack against the border”, mentioning that Ḥizb Allah launched missiles against “Israel” on Sunday, while the Israeli “army” launched artillery fire.
Earlier on Sunday Dennis Ross, who had worked as a political strategist in the United States and who is also an adviser to the Washington Institute told the American Politico newspaper that “the main reason behind the Ḥamās Movement launching an attack now was the possibility that an American Saudi-Israeli agreement to normalize relations might have been reached.

وأوضح الموقع أنّ بلينكن تحدّث أيضاً مع وزير الخارجية السعودي، فيصل بن فرحان، بشأن الهجمات، وبعد المكالمة، قال بن فرحان في بيان إن السعودية رفضت استهداف الإسرائيليين لكنها لم تدن هجوم حماس.
وأفاد الموقع بأنّ حملة الرئيس بايدن للتوصل إلى اتفاق “سلام تاريخي بين السعودية وإسرائيل، تعرّضت لضربة قوية بسبب معركة طوفان الأقصى المفاجئة لإسرائيل
وأشار الموقع إلى أنّ البيت الأبيض والعالم يستعد الآن، لردٍ إسرائيلي “أقوى بشكل كبير “، ويخشىون من القتال المطوّل والموسّع في الشرق الأوسط
ولفت الموقع إلى أنّ الغزو البريّ الإسرائيلي لغزة، والذي قد يأتي رداً على هجوم يوم السبت، قد يؤدي إلى “التصعيد في أجزاء أخرى من المنطقة”، مشيراً إلى أنّ مثل هذا التصعيد من شأنه أن يجعل التطبيع بين الرياض وإسرائيل صعباً إن لم يكن مستحيلاً
ونقل الموقع عن مسؤول أميركي، قوله إنّ “القلق في الأسابيع الأخيرة كان يتعلق بمعلومات استخبارية أظهرت أن حزب الله قد يشن هجوماً على الحدود”، ذاكِراً أنّ حزب الله أطلق صواريخ على “إسرائيل”، اليوم الأحد، بينما أطلق “الجيش” الإسرائيلي نيران المدفعية.
