Iranian Foreign Minister ‘Abbās ‘Arāqčī and his Pakistani colleague Muḥammad Isḥāqdār in a telephone conversation discussing the bilateral ties and the developments in the region, while Tehran confirms its appreciation for Islamabad’s stance at the Human Rights Council.

Iranian Foreign Minister ‘Abbās ‘Arāqčī held a telephone conversation with his Pakistani colleague Muḥammad Isḥāqdār, during which the exchanged views about the the bilateral ties between the two countries, in addition to the latest developments in the region.
During the ‘Arāqčī confirmed the appreciation of his country for the “valuable and principal based” Pakistani stance at the Human Rights Council, expressing the content for foiling the attempts of certain countries to create international consensus against Iranian.
The two ministers also discussed the ways to strengthen the diplomatic cooperation between Tehran and Islamabad in various regional questions and both confirmed the need to continue the contacts and the cooperation between the two sides, striving the common interests.
On Friday the UN Humanitarian Council seated in Geneva held its 39th Extraordinary Session under the so called human rights conditions in Iran title.
During the voting of the session Pakistan voted against the decree condemning Iran, and Advisor of the Pakistan’s permanent mission at the United Nations in Geneva Munīb Aḥmad said that his country “will remain a friend of Iran and the Iranian people at any times”. Thus pointing out that Iran was the first state to recognize the independence of Pakistan.
He added that the relations between the two countries “despite the internal, or the rational developments was always based on strong friendly relations rooted in the same culture, history and religion”. He also confirmed that Pakistan welcomes that the aggression has stopped and life has gradually returned to normality, expressing his faith of his country that Iran will remain committed to follow legal measures.
