The “Tactical Report” website specialized in posting intelligence information about the Middle East reported details about a meeting held by Emir of Kuwait aš-Šayh aṣ-Ṣabāḥ al-Aḥmad with all branches of the “Āl Ṣabāḥ” dynasty before he went under the last surgery to lay out a plan for a peaceful transition of power.

The intelligence website shared in its report today, Sunday that all branches of the “Āl Ṣabāḥ” dynasty agreed on a peaceful transition of power, and that aš-Šayh [aṣ-]Ṣabāḥ indeed handed over some of its powers to his half-brother, the Crown Prince “Nawwāf al-Aḥmad aṣ-Ṣabāḥ”.
According to the sources the website used all former opposition within the ruling dynasty about the candidacy of the next Crown Prince has been dropped.
According to “Tactical Report” all this happened after the Emir of Kuwait held a meeting with all the branches of the “Āl Ṣabāḥ” dynasty before he underwent his latest surgery this 19 June, on which he called for strong support for “Nawwāf aṣ-Ṣabāḥ” in this phase, and to this, all those present agreed to.
The report adds that according to the sources it seems clear that Emir [aṣ-a]Ṣabāḥ tries to support his brother “Nawwāf” to appoint him as his successor (Crown Prince), in case he transmits the power to him”.
Thought by the testimonies of the leading members of the “aṣ-Ṣabāḥ” dynasty the Kuwaiti emir did not wish to name a candidate for the post of the next Crown Prince during the meeting, the sources pointed out that he seemed to agree with aš-Šayh “Nawwāf”, to name his half-brother “Miš‘al al-Aḥmad aṣ-Ṣabāḥ” for the post.
While this goes on the Western and the Gulf capitals hope for a secure power transition in the oil-rich country, which is the base of the 3rd American Army, some 16 thousand troops.
“Nawwāf al-Aḥmad” is the Crown Prince of Kuwait since February 2006. He is the sixth son of the tenth Emir of Kuwait aš-Šayh “al-Aḥmad al-Ğābir aṣ-Ṣabāḥ”, and held many ministerial posts during his political career before he became Crown Prince. Amongst these were the interior, the defense, and the social affairs posts, and he held the post of the first deputy for the Prime Minister.
But the Crown Prince was born in June 1937, so he is 83 years old and had several surgeries and medical trips inside the country and abroad, and therefore to name a Crown Prince for him in case the power transfers to him is an important matter for the stability of control in Kuwait.
The “Tactical Report” has already reported previously that the Kuwaiti emir suffered from recurring syncopation, breathing difficulties, and health palpitations before he underwent surgery, supporting that the Emir might have to have a pacemaker implanted.
Kuwaiti Minister of Royal Court Matters “ ‘Alī al-Ğarrāḥ” said last week that a decree was given to entitle Crown Prince “Nawwāf al-Aḥmad aṣ-Ṣabāḥ” to temporarily take over some of the constitutional duties of the Emir.

الموقع الاستخباراتي أفاد في تقرير له اليوم، الأحد، أن جميع فروع عائلة “الصباح” اتفقت على انتقال سلس للسلطة، وأن الشيخ صباح نقل بالفعل بعضا من سلطاته إلى أخيه غير الشقيق ولي العهد “نواف الأحمد الصباح
وبحسب مصادر نقل عنها الموقع فان جميع الاعتراضات السابقة في أوساط العائلة الحاكمة بشأن ترشيح ولي العهد المقبل تم سحبها
وبحسب “تاكتيكال ريبورت” جاء ذلك بعدما عقد أمير الكويت اجتماعا لكافة فروع عائلة “الصباح” قبل إجرائه العملية الجراحية في 19 يوليو الجاري، داعيا إلى مساندة “نواف الصباح” بقوة في هذه المرحلة، وهو ما وافق جميع الحاضرين عليه
ويضيف التقرير أنه بدا واضحا أن الأمير “صباح” يسعى لمساعدة أخيه “نواف” على تحديد خلف له (ولي للعهد) في حال انتقال السلطة إليه، بحسب المصادر
ورغم إفادة بعض كبار أفراد عائلة “الصباح” بأن الأمير لم يرغب في تسمية مرشحه لمنصب ولي العهد المقبل خلال الاجتماع، إلا أن المصادر أشارت إلى أن الأمير بدا متفقا مع الشيخ “نواف” على تسمية أخيه غير الشقيق، الشيخ “مشعل الأحمد الصباح” للمنصب
هذا وتأمل عواصم غربية وخليجية في حدوث انتقال آمن للسلطة في البلد الغني بالنفط، الذي يستقر فيه مقر الجيش الأمريكي الثالث، ونحو 16 ألف جندي أمريكي
و”نواف الأحمد” هو ولي عهد الكويت منذ فبراير/شباط 2006، وهو الابن السادس لأمير الكويت العاشر، الشيخ “أحمد الجابر الصباح”، وتولى عدة مناصب وزارية خلال مسيرته السياسية قبل تقلده ولاية العهد، منها الداخلية والدفاع والشؤون الاجتماعية، ومنصب النائب الأول لرئيس مجلس الوزراء
غير أن ولي العهد من مواليد يونيو 1937، أي يبلغ من العمر 83 عاما، وخضع لعدة عمليات جراحية، ورحلات علاج داخل وخارج البلاد، ولذا فإن تسمية ولي عهد له حال انتقال السلطة إليه مسألة مهمة لاستقرار الحكم في الكويت
وكان “تاكتيكال ريبورت” قد نشر، في وقت سابق، أن أمير الكويت واجه نوبة متجددة من الدوار، وصعوبة في التنفس وخفقان في القلب قبل إجرائه العملية الجراحية، مرجحا أن الأمير ربما يكون خضع لإصلاح جهاز تنظيم ضربات القلب
وأعلن وزير شؤون الديوان الأميري الكويتي، “علي الجراح”، الأسبوع الماضي، صدور مرسوم بالاستعانة بولي العهد “نواف الأحمد الصباح” لممارسة بعض اختصاصات الأمير الدستورية مؤقتا
