The border dispute between the Algerian Republic and the Kingdom of Morocco is heading for a confrontation with the decision of the French government to recognize the autonomy plan for the Western Sahara region. A matter that was rejected by the Algerian Foreign Ministry considering it to be a bias towards the Moroccan side in the case.

The Algerian Republic expressed that it strongly rejects the decision of the French government recognizing the autonomy plan for the Western Sahara region.
The Algerian Foreign Ministry said that “Algeria will summarize the results and the repercussions that would emanate from this decision” and “that the French government alone has full and total responsibility for that”.
The statement continued: “It seems that the colonial powers, both the old and the new, know how to complement and to understand each other and how to extend their helping hands for each other”.
The Algerian Foreign Ministry accused France with attempting to “distort the facts and to upholding the colonial reality, providing support for the acclaimed and fictitious Moroccan sovereignty over the Western Sahara region”.
Previously last year Algeria had confirmed that “Israel’s” recognition of the Moroccan sovereignty “claimed over the Western Sahara confirms the coalition of the two occupiers”.
The Algerian Foreign Ministry said that this announcement counts to be “a scandalous violation of the international law, the U.N. Security Council resolutions and the decisions of the U.N. General Assembly regarding this region”.

الجمهورية الجزائرية عن استنكارها الشديد لقرار الحكومة الفرنسية الاعتراف بخطة الحكم الذاتي لإقليم الصحراء الغربية.
وقالت الخارجية الجزائرية إن “الجزائر ستستخلص النتائج والعواقب، التي تنجم عن. هذا القرار”، و”تحمّل الحكومة الفرنسية وحدها المسؤولية الكاملة والتامة عن ذلك”.
وتابع البيان: “على ما يبدو، فإن القوى الاستعمارية، القديمة والحديثة، تعرف كيف تتماهى. وتتفاهم مع بعضها البعض، وكيف تمد يد العون إلى بعضها البعض”.
واتهمت الخارجية الجزائرية فرنسا بسعيها لـ”تشويه الحقائق، وتأييد الواقع الاستعماري، وتقديم دعم لسيادة المغرب المزعومة والوهمية على إقليم الصحراء الغربية
وفي وقت سابق، من العام الفائت، أكّدت الجزائر أنّ اعتراف “إسرائيل” بسيادة المغرب “المزعومة على الصحراء الغربية، يؤكد تحالف المحتلين”.
وقالت الخارجية الجزائرية إن هذا الإعلان يُعَدّ “خرقاً فاضحاً للقانون الدولي، ولقرارات مجلس. الأمن، ولوائح الجمعية العامة للأمم المتحدة، والتي تخصّ هذه المنطقة
