Iraqi Prime Minister Muṣṭafā al-Kāẓimī confirms that the next elections scheduled to be held on 10 October cannot be accepted to be postponed. The Iraqi Security Media Unit announced the detention of “a terrorist” and the apprehension of missiles and improvised bombs in al-Anbār Province.

During his visit to Kuwait he said that the elections will take place at their time. Adding that “the doors of Iraq are open for the Kuwaiti investors”. Thus pointing out that a document will be presented about the general reform, to which’s stipulations Iraq will rely on as a basis.
At the same time al-Kāẓimī returned to his country after he held extensive negotiations with his Kuwaiti colleague aš-Šayh Ṣabāḥ Hālid aṣ-Ṣabāḥ at the head of the delegations from both states.
The security forces formed a specialized plan for the early elections via reconnaissance operations and delegating the duties tasked upon the security agencies, which will take over the defense of the elections centers and the storages of the polls.
As far as security, the Iraqi Security Media Unit announced the detention of “a terrorist” and the apprehension of improvised bombs in al-Anbār Province”.
In a statement issued, the Iraqi Security Media Unit confirmed that stopping the terrorist came after the intelligence set a trap while he was heading to the entry point of al-Karama county in al-Anbār Province. It added that the intelligence units and the infantry forces apprehended twenty howitzer shells and ten explosive vests in the area of al-Ğarāyšī in the city of ar-Ramādī.

رئيس الوزراء العراقي مصطفى الكاظمي يؤكد أن الانتخابات المقبلة المقررة في العاشر من تشرين الأول/ أكتوبر المقبل غير قابلة للتأجيل، وخلية الإعلام الأمني العراقي تعلن اعتقال “إرهابي” وضبط صواريخ وعبوات في محافظة الأنبار.
أكّد رئيس الوزراء العراقي مصطفى الكاظمي، أن الانتخابات المقبلة المقررة في العاشر من تشرين الأول/ اكتوبر المقبل غير قابلة للتأجيل.
وقال على هامش زيارته الكويت، إن الانتخابات ستجري في موعدها”، مضيفاً أن “أبواب العراق مفتوحةٌ للمستثمرين الكويتيين، ومشيراً إلى أنه سيتم طرح وثيقة إصلاح عامة تعتمد بنودها كثوابت أساسية للعراق.
هذا وقد عاد الكاظمي إلى بلاده بعد أن كان قد ترأس مع نظيره الكويتي الشيخ صباح خالد الصباح، المباحثات الموسعة بين وفدي البلدين.
وكانت القوات الأمنية قد شرعت في وضع الخطة الخاصة بالانتخابات المبكرة عبر عمليات الاستطلاع وتوزيع المهمات التي ستوكل إلى الأجهزة الأمنية التي ستتولى حماية المراكز الانتخابية ومخازن صناديق الاقتراع.
أمنياً، أعلنت خلية الإعلام الأمني العراقي اعتقال “إرهابي” وضبط صواريخ وعبوات في محافظة الأنبار.
وفي بيان لها، أكّدت خلية الإعلام الأمني أن توقيف الارهابي جاء بعد نصب الاستخبارات كميناً محكماً أثناء توجهه للدخول إلى قضاء الكرمة في الأنبار، وأضافت أن المفارز الاستخبارية والقوة البرية ضبطت عشرين قذيفة هاون وعشر عبوات ناسفة في منطقة الجرايشي بمدينة الرمادي.
