Iraqi Prime Minister Muṣṭafā al-Kāẓimī published a reassuring message that he “is well”. That happened after the governmental media unit announced that residence of the Prime Minister suffered a drone attack in the Green Zone.

Al-Kāẓimī said in a post of his on Twitter that “I was, and still is devoted to be a servant of Iraq and the Iraqi people. The treacherous missiles will not deter the will of the believers and will not shake a will and determination of our heroic security forces to protect the safety of the people, uphold what is right and put the law to its use”.
He added: “I am well, and thank God, amongst my people”. Thus he called for “calming and restraint from all for the sake of Iraq”.
The media unit announced on dawn today, on Sunday about a failed assassination attempt suffered by Prime Minister and the Supreme Commander of the Armed Forces by an explosives filled drone trying to target his residence in the Green Zone in Baghdad. Also that the Prime Minister did not suffer any injury and he is good health”.

نشر رئيس الوزراء العراقي مصطفى الكاظمي، تدوينة طمأن فيها انه “بخير”، وذلك بعد أن أعلنت خلية الإعلام الأمني الحكومية أن مقر إقامة رئيس الوزراء تعرض لهجوم بطائرة مسيرة بالمنطقة الخضراء

وقال الكاظمي، في تغريدته على {تويتر} “كنت ومازلت مشروع فداء للعراق وشعب العراق، صواريخ الغدر لن تثبط عزيمة المؤمنين، ولن تهتز شعرة في ثبات وإصرار قواتنا الأمنية البطلة على حفظ أمن الناس وإحقاق الحق ووضع القانون في نصابه
واضاف “أنا بخير والحمد لله، وسط شعبي”، داعياً إلى “التهدئة وضبط النفس من الجميع، من أجل العراق”.
واعلنت خلية الاعلام فجر اليوم الاحد، عن محاولة اغتيال فاشلة تعرض لها رئيس مجلس الوزراء القائد العام للقوات المسلحة، بواسطة طائرة مسيرة مفخخة حاولت استهداف مكان إقامته في المنطقة الخضراء ببغداد، وأن الرئيس لم يصاب بأي أذى وهو بصحة جيدة.
