The Iraqi Armed Forces vow to eliminate the leader of the “Dā‘iš” organization in Iraq, Abū Ibrāhīm al-Qurašī. This comes after the armed forces eliminated the governor and deputy commander of the organization, Abū Yāsir al-‘Īsāwī taking revenge for the martyrs on the at-Ṭayarān Square and those of the Popular Mobilization [al-Ḥašd aš-Ša‘bī].
The official spokesman of the Commander of the Armed Forces Brigadier General Yaḥyā Rasūl confirmed that the operation to eliminate the governor of Dā‘iš in Iraq comes as a revenge for the blood of the martyrs on the at-Ṭayarān Square and those of the Popular Mobilization [al-Ḥašd aš-Ša‘bī] forces.
The announcement made by Brigadier General Rasūl today, on Friday pointed out that: “the anti-terrorist forces managed to kill the Iraqi governor and deputy leader of the organization, Abū Yāsir al-‘Īsāwī“, thus stressing that the threat numerous indications were identified about him before the operation happened in Wādī aš-Šāy in the southern part of Kirkūk province.
On his own side director of the Anti-Terrorist Service General ‘Abd al-Wahhāb, as-Sā‘idī pointed out that the high-level cooperation between the Anti-Terrorist Service and the intelligence services led to the killing of the Dā‘iš governor in Iraq, vowing that they will reach the leader of the organization, Abū Ibrāhīm al-Qurašī as well.
According to as-Sā‘idī the grand operation in Wādī aš-Šāy along the Tigris also resulted in the killing of 42 members of “Dā ‘iš”.
He mentioned that the Coalition forces gave areal support, but had no presence on the ground.
The al-Ḥašd aš-Ša‘bī Organization announced from its own side that 20 Dā‘iš members were killed and missiles were destroyed in an airstrike in the south of Kirkūk province in Northern Iraq.
In an announcement, it explained that the warplanes of the army shelled the gathering of “Dā‘iš” in Wādī aš-Šāy south of Kirkūk, and according to the statement the 22nd Battalion of the al-Ḥašd aš-Ša‘bī also killed two people during its raid on the hideout after the bombardment.
The statement pointed out that the airstrike was built upon intelligence information gathered by the intelligence of the al-Ḥašd aš-Ša‘bī, thus pointing out that the airstrike came as a revenge for the martyrs of the battalion.
Aside from that Iraqi Prime Minister Muṣṭafā al-Kāẓimī announced in a press statement yesterday, on Thursday that “the Deputy Caliph and the Iraqi governer” in the “Dā‘iš” organization, the terrorist Abū Yāsir al-‘Īsāwī and also a number of commanders of the organization were eliminated.
Al-Kāẓimī said that “if the Iraqi people took a vow they stick to it. We promised earth-shaking blow to the “Dā‘iš” terrorist gangs, and the answer came by our heroes”.
The Iraqi security forced performed a series of operations against the “Dā‘iš” cells in Baghdad, al-Fallūğa, and Kirkūk. Thus the units of the service managed to apprehend 3 terrorists, and also they destroyed a tunnel of the “Dā‘iš” troops some 10 kilometers away from Wādī aš-Šāy in Kirkūk province in addition to localizing the hideout of the terrorists containing suicide belts and destroyed mobile devices.
Also last week Operation “Revenge of the Martyrs” was launched by the General Command of the Armed Forces in Iraq with oversight from the Anti-Terrorist Service.

القوات المسلحة العراقية تتوعد بالقضاء على زعيم تنظيم “داعش” في العراق أبو إبراهيم القرشي، وذلك بعد قضائها على والي ونائب التنظيم أبو ياسر العيساوي ثأراً لشهداء ساحة الطيران وشهداء الحشد
أكد المتحدث باسم القوات المسلحة العراقية العميد يحيى رسول، أن عملية القضاء على والي داعش في العراق تأتي ثأراً لدماء شهداء ساحة الطيران وشهداء قوات الحشد الشعبي
وأشار بيان للعميد رسول، اليوم الجمعة، إلى أن “قوات مكافحة الإرهاب تمكّنت من قتل والي العراق ونائب زعيم التنظيم أبو ياسر العيساوي”، لافتاً إلى تحديد مضافات متعددة كان يستخدمها قبل أن يجري استهدافه في وادي الشاي جنوب محافظة كركوك
بدوره، أشار رئيس جهاز مكافحة الارهاب الفريق أول عبد الوهاب الساعدي، إلى أن التنسيق العالي المستوى بين جهازي مكافحة الإرهاب والاستخبارات أدّى إلى قتل والي داعش في العراق، متوعّداً بالوصول إلى زعيم التنظيم أبو إبراهيم القرشي
ووفق الساعدي، فإن العملية الكبرى في وادي الشاي بقاطع دجلة، أدّت كذلك إلى مقتل 42 عنصراً من “داعش
ولفت إلى أن قوات التحالف قدمت دعماً جوياً، ولم يكن لها وجود على الأرض
وأعلنت هيئة الحشد الشعبي من جانبها مقتل 20 داعشياً وتدمير صواريخ بضربة جوية جنوب محافظة كركوك شمال العراق
وفي بيان لها أوضحت أن طائرات الجيش قصفت تجمعاً لـ”داعش” في وادي الشاي جنوب كركوك. وبحسب البيان فإن اللواء الـ22 بالحشد قتل إثنين آخرين أثناء مداهمة الوكر بعد القصف
وأشار البيان إلى أن الضربة نفذت بناءً على معلومات استخبارية من استخبارات الحشد، لافتاً إلى أن الضربة تأتي ثائراً لشهداء اللواء
هذا وأعلن رئيس الوزراء العراقي مصطفى الكاظمي في بيان صحفي، أمس الخميس، عن القضاء على “نائب الخليفة ووالي العراق” في تنظيم “داعش” الإرهابي أبو ياسر العيساوي وعلى قياديين في التنظيم
وقال الكاظمي إنّ “شعب العراق إذا وعد أوفى، وقد توعدنا عصابات “داعش” الإرهابية برد مزلزل، وجاء الرد من أبطالنا
ونفذ الأمن العراقي سلسلة من العمليات ضد خلايا “داعش” في بغداد والفلوجة وكركوك، حيث تمكّنت وحدات الجهاز من إلقاء القبض على 3 إرهابيين، كما دمّرت نفقاً لعناصر “داعش” يبعد 10 أمتار عن وادي الشّاي بمحافظة كركوك، بالإضافة إلى أنّها عثرت على وكر للإرهابيين يحتوي على أحزمة ناسفة وأجهزة موبايل مدمّرة
