A Kuwaiti newspaper reported today, on Sunday, that the United States plans to perform a military coup in Iraq, pointing out that it had already informed its allies in Baghdad about the matter.
The Kuwaiti “al-Ğarīda” daily reported from a source in the Iranian Jerusalem Brigades [Nīrū-ye Qods – part of the Iranian Revolutionary Guards Corps, or Pāsdārān] that “the Revolutionary Guards and factions in Iraq with the al-Ḥašd aš-Ša‘bī Organization being in its forefront announced a state of high alert in all its forces anticipating a military coup prepared by the Americans to take control over the state in Baghdad.
The sources added that “the Iranian security services have obtained intelligence information that the Americans have informed their allies in Baghdad that utter reliance on civil society groups is not effective anymore and will not succeed without changing the balance in the armed forces for the benefit of those leaning to Washington against those organizations supporting Tehran and its allies in Iraq.
The sources pointed out that “the current composition of the politics in Iraq does not allow the Americans to put in charge a Prime Minister leaning to them, only if there is a military coup for the support of Washington that would take power.
It continued that “the Iranians have opened many communication channels with Iraqi Sunni and Kurdish sides to form and alliance confronting the newest American plots, especially in the light that
Washington is trying to exploit Tehran being busy confronting the spread of the Corona virus”. It clarified that “the Iranians are trying to convince all Iraqi political sides that it is in the interest of all if a civilian Prime Minister can take power in any ways possible. Also that any military coup, if happens, will mean a huge loss for everyone in their interests and might even bring Iraq back to the state it was in under the dictatorial reign of Ṣaddām Ḥussayn”.
The source pointed out that assassination of Qāsem Soleymānī, Commander of the Jerusalem Brigades, and the Deputy Director of the al-Ḥašd aš-Ša‘bī Organization Abū Mahdī al-Muhandis meant “the beginning of the American assault against the power in Iraq, since the Americans knew that Soleymānī has trusted contacts with a number of Iraqi politicians, and that he could have turned the table against them in any minute”.

افادت صحيفة كويتية، اليوم الاحد، بأن الولايات المتحدة تخطط لتنفيذ انقلاب عسكري في العراق، مشيرة الى أنها أبلغت حلفاءها ببغداد في الامر
ونقلت صحيفة “الجريدة” الكويتية، عن مصدر في فيلق القدس الإيراني، أن “الحرس الثوري وفصائل بالعراق، وفي مقدمتها هيئة الحشد الشعبي، أعلنت حالة التأهب بجميع القوات تحسباً لانقلاب عسكري يدبّره الأميركيون للسيطرة على السلطة في بغداد
وأضاف المصدر، أن “الأجهزة الأمنية الإيرانية حصلت على معلومات استخباراتية بأن الأميركيين أبلغوا حلفاءهم في بغداد أن الاعتماد على منظمات المجتمع المدني لم يعد مُجدياً، ولن ينجح، دون تحرك موازٍ للقوات المسلحة الموالية لواشنطن للإجهاز على طهران وحلفائها بالعراق
وأشار المصدر إلى أن “التركيبة السياسية الموجودة بالعراق لا تسمح للأميركيين بوصول رئيس وزراء موالٍ لهم إلى السلطة، إلا في حال وقوع انقلاب عسكري موالٍ لواشنطن للسيطرة على السلطة
وتابع، أن “الإيرانيين فتحوا قنوات اتصال مكثفة مع أطراف سنية وكردية عراقية لتشكيل تحالف يواجه الخطط الأميركية الجديدة، خصوصاً في ظل محاولة واشنطن استغلال انشغال طهران بمواجهة تفشي فايروس كورونا، لتمريرها”، موضحاً أن “الإيرانيين يحاولون إقناع جميع الأطراف السياسية العراقية بأن مصلحة الجميع تقتضي أن يستطيع رئيس وزراء مدني السيطرة على السلطة، بأي شكل من الأشكال، وأن أي انقلاب عسكري، في حال حدوثه، سيعني خسارة الجميع لكل مكاسبهم، وربما عودة العراق إلى ما كان الأمر عليه في ظل حكم الديكتاتور صدام حسين
ولفت المصدر، إلى أن اغتيال قائد فيلق القدس قاسم سليماني ونائب رئيس هيئة الحشد الشعبي أبو مهدي المهندس مثّل “بداية التحرك الأميركي للانقضاض على السلطة بالعراق، لأن الأميركيين كانوا على علم بأن سليماني يملك اتصالات وثيقة مع العديد من السياسيين العراقيين، وكان بإمكانه قلب الطاولة عليهم في أي لحظة
