The leader of the aṣ-Ṣadrī Movement in Iraq Muqtadā aṣ-Ṣadr announces that his aṣ-Ṣadrī faction withdraws from the negotiations to elect the president of the state and to form the next government and says that this gives him a chance to negotiate with all factions to form a majority government without the aṣ-Ṣadrī faction.
The leader of the aṣ-Ṣadrī Movement in Iraq Muqtadā aṣ-Ṣadr announced on Thursday night the withdrawal of his faction from the negotiations to elect the president of the state and to form the next government and giving way for further negotiations with the political forces about this matter.
Aṣ-Ṣadr wrote it on Twitter: “God has bestowed his grace upon me so that I could be with whoever is with me at the biggest winning faction at the elections in a victory unseen before. Then we formed the biggest Shiī faction or alliance. Then He graced me be to first to succeed to form the biggest national faction (the National Salvation) and nominate a prime minister, who is acceptable for everyone”.
He added: “These alliances were upsetting many. They created and still create an obstacle (to form the government). So in order for Iraq mot remain without a government and manage the security, economic, service, and other conditions, hereby I (with one-third of support) give a chance to negotiations with all factions without any exception to form a national majority government without the aṣ-Ṣadrī Movement from the first day of Ramadan until the 9th-month Šawwāl”.

It is worth mentioning that the Iraqi National Assembly has failed for the third consecutive time in a session to elect the new president of the state because legal requirements were not met. In the last two sessions there was a split between the three major factions (the aṣ-Ṣadrī faction, the Kurdistani Democratic Party and the Alliance of Sovereignty) within the cooperation process, which includes the Shiī political forces.
Aṣ-Ṣadr was resolute by his position to make the legal requirements fail for the session on Wednesday, as he said on Twitter calling upon the cooperation process, that he will not agree with them. “As the agreement means the end of the country. There is no agreement by any of its forms”.

زعيم التيار الصدري في العراق مقتدى الصدر، يعلن انسحابه وكتلته الصدرية من مفاوضات انتخاب رئيس الجمهورية وتشكيل الحكومة المرتقبة، ويقول إنه بذلك يعطي فرصة للتفاوض مع جميع الكتل لتشكيل حكومة أغلبية، من دون الكتلة الصدرية.
أعلن زعيم التيار الصدري في العراق، مقتدى الصدر، مساء اليوم الخميس، انسحابه مكع كتلته من مفاوضات انتخاب رئيس الجمهورية ومن تشكيل الحكومة المرتقبة، وإفساح المجال أمام الإطار التنسيقي للتفاوض مع القوى السياسية في هذا الشأن.
وكتب الصدر في “تويتر”: “نعمة أنعمها الله عليّ أن مكّنني من أن أكون مع مَن معي الكتلةَ الفائزة الأكبر في الانتخابات، في فوز لم يسبق له مثيل، ثم جعلنا الكتلة أو التحالف الشيعي الأكبر، ثم منّ عليّ بأن أكون أول من ينجح في تشكيل الكتلة الوطنية الأكبر (إنقاذ الوطن) وترشيح رئيس وزراء مقبول من الجميع”.
وأضاف: “أزعجت تلك التحالفات الكثيرين، فعرقلوا وما زالوا يعرقلون (تشكيل الحكومة). وكي لا يبقى العراق بلا حكومة وتتردى الأوضاع الأمنية والاقتصادية والخدمية وغيرها، ها أنا أعطي (الثلث المعطل) فرصةً للتفاوض مع جميع الكتل بلا استثناء لتشكيل حكومة أغلبية وطنية، من دون الكتلة الصدرية، من أول يوم في شهر رمضان إلى التاسع من شهر شوال المعظم
الجدير ذكره أنّ مجلس النواب العراقي أخفق للمرة الثالثة على التوالي في عقد جلسة لانتخاب رئيس جمهورية جديد للبلاد بسبب عدم اكتمال النصاب القانوني. وفي الجلستين الماضيتين احتدم الخلاف بين التحالف الثلاثي (الكتلة الصدرية، الحزب الديمقراطي الكردستاني، تحالف السيادة)، والإطار التنسيقي الذي يضم قوى سياسية شيعية.
وكان الصدر حاسماً في موقفه بشأن إفشال تحقيق النصاب القانوني لجلسة أمس الأربعاء، بحيث قال في تغريدة في “تويتر”، مخاطباً الإطار التنسيقي، إنّه لن يتوافق معهم، “فالتوافق يعني نهاية البلد. لا للتوافق في كل أشكاله
