On Sunday the forces of the Emirati supported Transitional Council took control over the “Maykā 12” Battalion, the surroundings of the al-‘Uqla oil installations in Šabwa, also most of the vital and strategic areas in the province in the middle of Yemen.

The “Independent Aden” channel cited an unnamed military source that the southern forces took full control over the al-‘Uqla oil installation.

The Emirates took control over a region and the port of Bilḥāf in Šabwa, the only gas export platform to the outside world since 2015. After that the Yemeni gas export stopped and the plan with this gas platform was to provide the Yemeni budget yearly $4 billion. With the total costs for 10 years Yemen has lost around $40 billion by the stop of the gas export.

This came at a time when the military movements in the Eastern provinces intensify, as official spokesman of the Southern Armed Forces Muḥammad an-Naqīb announced that an elite force in Ḥadramawt has headed to the city of Say’ūn in Wādī Ḥadramawt to support the operations of “Strengthening the Security and the Stability”.

An-Naqīb explained that the Ḥadramawt elite forces will work on combating any possible threats that might affect the security of Wādī Ḥadramawt, confirming that “the security of the region is a joint responsibility”, in light of the recent security changes.

The media sources in Aden have talked about the withdrawal of the Saudi forces from the Aden International Airport to the east of the coastal city along the Arab Sea in Southern Yemen, the acclaimed temporal capital of the Presidential Council government, while reports talk about the areal journeys being stopped from and to the airport and informing the travelers about the decision of this sudden stop.

سيطرت قوات المجلس الانتقالي المدعوم إمارتياً على اللواء “ميكا 12” ومحيط منشأة العقلة. النفطية في شبوة يوم أمس الأحد، وعلى معظم المناطق الحيوية والاستراتيجية في المحافظة الواقعة وسط اليمن.

ونقلت قناة “عدن المستقلة” عن مصدر عسكري لم تُسمّه أن القوات الجنوبية فرضت سيطرة. كاملة على منشأة العقلة النفطية

وتسيطر الإمارات على منطقة وميناء بلحاف في شبوة، منصة تصدير الغاز اليمني. الوحيدة إلى الخارج منذ عام 2015. وعلى أثر ذلك، توقف تصدير الغاز اليمني. وكان مخططاً لهذه المنصة أن تدر إلى خزينة. الدولة اليمنية 4 مليارات دولار سنوياً. ومع حساب الكلفة منذ 10 سنوات، فقد خسر اليمن من إيقاف تصدير الغاز نحو 40 مليار دولار أميركي. 

ويأتي ذلك في وقت تتسارع التحركات العسكرية في المحافظات الشرقية، إذ أعلن المتحدث. الرسمي باسم القوات المسلحة الجنوبية، محمد النقيب، توجه قوة من النخبة الحضرمية إلى مدينة سيئون في. وادي حضرموت لدعم عمليات “تعزيز الأمن والاستقرار”.

وأوضح النقيب أن قوات النخبة الحضرمية ستعمل على مواجهة أي تهديدات محتملة قد. تطال أمن وادي حضرموت، مؤكداً أن “أمن المنطقة مسؤولية مشتركة” في ضوء المتغيرات الأمنية الأخيرة.

وتحدثت مصادر إعلامية في عدن عن انسحاب القوات السعودية من مطار عدن الدولي شرقي. المدينة الساحلية على البحر العربي جنوب اليمن والمعلنة عاصمة مؤقتة لحكومة المجلس الرئاسي، وسط أنباء عن إيقاف. الرحلات الجوية من وإلى المطار وإبلاغ المسافرين بقرار التوقف المفاجئ
