Special envoy of American President Donald Trump to Syria Tom Barrack confirmed that “Washington has tried two times to change the regime in Iran, but hasn’t achieved results”.
In an interview to “The National” Barrack alleged that President Trump and State Secretary Marco Rubio “are not supporting any path that aims to topple the regime in Iran, but they are preferring regional solutions led by the regional states”.
He claimed that “the American administration is not conducting a policy of regime changes”, underlining that the solution of the Iranian matter must be dealt within the region far from foreign interventions.
Barrack confirmed that the American administration is opened to reach an agreement with Tehran with the condition that the other side shows seriousness in stopping the support for resistance movements in the region and for “calming the tensions”. Thus according to his expression.
Upon asking him about the continuation of the confrontation between “Israel” and Iran Barrack said that “the matter hasn’t reached its end yet. We are at the fifth phase of a story, while its second part is not fulfilled”. Thus hinting the confrontation that is still open in many conflicts.

أكد المبعوث الخاص للرئيس الأميركي دونالد ترامب إلى سوريا، توم برّاك، أن “واشنطن. جربت مرتين تغيير النظام في إيران ولم تحقق نتائج”.
وفي مقابلة مع صحيفة “ذا ناشيونال”، زعم برّاك أن الرئيس. ترامب ووزير الخارجية ماركو روبيو “لا يدعمان أي مسار يهدف. إلى إسقاط النظام في إيران، بل يفضلان. حلولاً إقليمية تقودها دول المنطقة”.
وزعم أن “الإدارة الأميركية لا تتبنى نهج تغيير الأنظمة”، مشدداً على أن معالجة الملف. الإيراني ينبغي أن تتم ضمن الإقليم نفسه بعيداً عن التدخلات الخارجية
وأكد برّاك أن الإدارة الأميركية منفتحة على التوصل إلى اتفاق مع طهران، شرط أن تظهر الأخيرة. جدية في. وقف دعم حركات المقاومة في المنطقة و”تهدئة التوترات”، وفق تعبيره.
