The Human Rights Office of the United Nations confirmed that there are reliable reports of large scale violations, including operations of executions carried out by the security forces and the armed troops in as-Suwaydā’.

The Human Rights Commissioner of the United Nations Volker Turk called upon the interim authorities in Syria to guarantee the accountability and the justice about the killings and violations on the province.

For days as-Suwaydā’ Province witnessed violent clashes between the Druze militia factions and the tribal factions in a number of villages and towns, which has led to clashes causing the death of 248 people since 13 July 2025 until 16 July.
