Saudi King Salmān ibn ‘Abd al-‘Azīz issues a royal decree ending the services of General Security director Hālid ibn Qarrār al-Ḥarbī and detaining him for investigations because of “numerous excesses and irregularities aiming to appropriate public funds”, according to what the public statement held.
Saudi monarch King Salmān ibn ‘Abd al-‘Azīz deposed the director of the General Security [the main Saudi intelligence service – Amaraia] and ordered investigation against him upon charges of committing excesses and irregularities with the aim of “appropriating public funds and for personal accumulation”.
Yesterday, on Tuesday the king issued a royal decree ending the services of General Hālid ibn Qarrār ibn Ġānim al-Ḥarbī, director of the General Security in the country and putting him under retirement and investigation.
According to the “WAS” Saudi press agency the Saudi king, being the Supreme Leader of all Saudi military forces and based on “what was presented to him by the appropriate institution about General Hālid ibn Qarrār al-Ḥarbī committing numerous excesses and irregularities with the aim of appropriating public funds and personal accumulation”.
According to this “the charges were brought to him about committing a number of crimes including fraud, bribes and exploiting influence with the complicit action of other 18 people from both the public and private realm”.
The Saudi king ordered to end the services of General Hālid ibn Qarrār al-Ḥarbī, director of General Security and put him into retirement and investigation.
The king turned to the monitoring and anti-corruption institution in the country “to continue the measures for investigating all those, who are connected to the charges and to take necessary appropriate measures against them within the acting rules and laws and to inform the institutions in charge about these orders in Saudi Arabia so they would applied and executed”.

الملك السعوديّ سلمان بن عبد العزيز، يصدر أمراً بإنهاء خدمة مدير الأمن العامّ خالد بن قرار الحربي وإحالته إلى التحقيق، على خلفية “تجاوزات ومخالفات عديدة بهدف الاستيلاء على المال العام” بحسب الاعلام الرسمي.
أقال العاهل السعودي، الملك سلمان بن عبدالعزيز، مدير الأمن العام وأحاله إلى التحقيق بتهمة ارتكاب تجاوزات ومخالفات بهدف “الاستيلاء على المال العام والانتفاع الشخصي”.
وأصدر الملك، أمس الثلاثاء، قراراً بإنهاء خدمة، الفريق الأول خالد بن قرار بن غانم الحربي، مدير الأمن العام في البلاد، وأحاله إلى التقاعد والتحقيق.
وبحسب وكالة الأنباء السعودية “واس” فقد قرر الملك السعودي، بصفته القائد الأعلى لكافة القوات العسكرية السعودية، وبناء على “ما رفعته الجهة المعنية عن ارتكاب الفريق الأول، خالد بن قرار الحربي لتجاوزات ومخالفات عديدة بهدف الاستيلاء على المال العام والانتفاع الشخصي”.
ووفقاً لـذلك “توجه التهمة له بارتكاب عدد من الجرائم منها التزوير والرشوة واستغلال النفوذ بمشاركة 18 شخصاً من منسوبي القطاع العام والخاص”.
وأمر الملك السعودي بإنهاء خدمة الفريق الأول، خالد بن قرار بن غانم الحربي مدير الأمن العام بإحالته إلى التقاعد مع إحالته للتحقيق.
ووجّه الملك إلى هيئة الرقابة ومكافحة الفساد في البلاد “لاستكمال إجراءات التحقيق مع كل من له علاقة بهذه التهم، واتخاذ الإجراءات النظامية اللازمة بحقهم ضمن القوانين والأنظمة النافذة، مع تبليغ هذه الأوامر للجهات المختصة في السعودية لاعتمادها وتنفيذها”.
