The Jordanian monarch holds a consultation meeting with the Egyptian President, the Iraqi Prime Minister and the Crown Prince of Abū Zabī in Aqaba in Southern Jordan. This comes shortly before the journey of the American State Secretary tomorrow to “Israel”, the West Bank, Morocco and Algeria.
Jordanian monarch II. ‘Abd Allah today, on Friday held a four party consultation meeting bringing together Egyptian President ‘Abd al-Fattāḥ as-Sīsī, Iraqi Prime Minister Muṣṭafā al-Kāẓimī and the Crown Prince of Abū Zabī aš-Šayh Muḥammad ibn Zāyid Āl Nahyān in Aqaba in Southern Jordan.
The statement by the Jordanian Royal Court pointed out that the meeting addressed “the ways to improve the fraternal relations between the brotherly states”. It was attended by the Jordanian Crown Prince al-Ḥussayn ibn ‘Abd Allah, Saudi Prince Turkī ibn Muḥammad, and Special Advisor at the Emirati Presidential Affairs Ministry Muḥammad ibn Ḥamad ibn Ṭaḥnūn.
On Thursday a new session of meeting of the “Aqaba” security initiatives started for the fifth time to study “how to confront the present threats of terrorism”.
The meeting takes place shortly before the trip by American State Secretary Antony Blinken starting tomorrow, on Saturday in the region, which includes “Israel”, the Occupied West Bank, Morocco and Algeria.
This also comes only few days after the tripartite meeting between as-Sīsī, Ibn Zāyid and the Prime Minister of the Israeli Occupation Naftali Bennet in Šarm aš-Šayh.

العاهل الأردني يعقد لقاءً تشاورياً مع الرئيس المصري ورئيس الوزراء العراقي وولي عهد أبو ظبي في العقبة جنوب الأردن. ويأتي ذلك قبيل جولة الخارجية الأميركية غداً، في”إسرائيل”، الضفة الغربية، المغرب والجزائر.
عقد العاهل الأردني، الملك عبد الله الثاني، اليوم الجمعة، لقاءً تشاورياً رباعياً ضمّ الرئيس المصري، عبد الفتاح السيسي، رئيس الوزراء العراقي مصطفى الكاظمي، وولي عهد أبو ظبي الشيخ محمد بن زايد آل نهيان، في العقبة جنوب المملكة الأردنية.
وفي بيان للديوان الملكي الأردني، أشار إلى أن اللقاء تناول “سبل تطوير العلاقات الأخوية بين الدول الشقيقة”، وحضره ولي عهد الأردن الأمير الحسين بن عبد الله الثاني، ووزير الدولة السعودي الأمير تركي بن محمد، ومستشار الشؤون الخاصة في وزارة شؤون الرئاسة الإماراتية محمد بن حمد بن طحنون.
وانطلقت الخميس، جولة جديدة من مبادرة اجتماعات “العقبة” الأمنية، للمرة الخامسة، لبحث “التصدي للتهديدات المستجدة للإرهاب”.
ويأتي اللقاء قبيل جولة يبدأها وزير الخارجية الأميركي أنتوني بلينكن، غداً السبت، في المنطقة وتشمل “إسرائيل”، الضفة الغربية المحتلة، المغرب والجزائر.
