Iranian Foreign Minister ‘Abbās ‘Arāqčī criticizes the contradictory American positions, confirming that Iran is firm in its position and will not negotiate its legal right for uranium enrichment.

According to the official Iranian media on Sunday the fourth round of the indirect nuclear negotiations between Tehran and Washington has started on the Sultanate of Oman.
Contradictory American positions might distance the negotiations from its right course
Iranian Foreign Minister ‘Abbās ‘Arāqčī on Sunday shourtla before arriving to the Omani capital Muscat expressed his hope that this session of the negotiations would reach a certain point.
‘Arāqčī expressed his regret about the American positions that “are contradictory between what is said in the negotiations and what shows in the media and that might derail the negotiations from its correct course”, pointing out that “contrary to the other side, the position of Iran is clear and progresses based on principles”.
He added: “The position of Iran is firm and clear and ready to take clarifying steps to increase the trust and confirmation of the peacefulness of the nuclear program”. Thus expressing his hope that the logic of the other side would be clear.
The Iranian Foreign Minister also confirmed that the Iranian nuclear program is lawful and legal and all activities were and will remain peaceful under the supervision of the International Energy Agency, adding that the uranium enrichment is an expensive achievement for the Iranian people that cannot be negotiated about.
‘Arāqčī had said that the delegation of Iranian experts have arrived to Muscat and take its duties, in case that is needed.
Critical round… a source to al-Mayadeen: If the other side departs from the agreed frame we will not continue the negotiations
Also the correspondent of al-Mayadeen in Muscat pointed out that “the fourth round of the indirect negotiations between Washington and Tehran is critical and seems more important that the previous rounds”. Thus pointing out that the “uranium enrichment is the main obstacle in the matter of the negotiations”.
He underlined that there is a crisis regarding the details between Tehran and Washington about the negotiations, pointing out that American positions stepped back about the right of Iran for the uranium enrichment within Iran.
The correspondent in Muscat cited a source within the Iranian delegation saying that “if we saw that the other team will depart from the frames that had been agreed upon, we will not continue the negotiations”.
He continued that if the negotiations progressed within the agreed frame to reassure the international community about the peaceful nature of the Iranian nuclear program than we can reach an agreement that guarantees the interests of both sides by lifting the sanctions from Iran.
In this context Media Affairs Advisor of the Iranian Foreign Ministry Moḥammad Ranğabarān confirmed that “the results of the opinion polls held during the last two weeks confirm that the majority of the Iranian people support Iran holding on to the full nuclear circle within Iran”.

وصل وزير الخارجية الإيراني عباس عراقتشي، صباح اليوم السبت، إلى مدينة جدة، حيث التقى. نظيره السعودي، فيصل بن فرحان، وبحث معه القضايا الثنائية والإقليمية
وأفادت وكالة “إرنا” الإيرانية، بأنّ الجانبين تشاورا، خلال اللقاء، حول سبل توسيع التعاون بين. طهران والرياض، إضافةً إلى التحديات الإقليمية والدولية. كما وقّع عراقتشي على سجل الذكريات في وزارة الخارجية السعودية
وتأتي زيارة عراقتشي لجدة في مستهل جولة إقليمية تشمل أيضاً العاصمة القطرية الدوحة، والعاصمة. العمانية مسقط، حيث من المقرر أن يشارك غداً الأحد في الجولة الرابعة من المحادثات الإيرانية الأميركية غير المباشرة.
وأفادت مصادر للميادين أنّ عراقتشي سيزور الإمارات الإثنين المقبل في إطار. جولته الإقليمية لإجراء مشاورات سياسية.
وذكرت وزارة الخارجية الإيرانية، في بيان رسمي، أنّ الوزير سيجري خلال زيارته جدة مباحثات. مع كبار المسؤولين السعوديين تتناول العلاقات الثنائية والمستجدات الإقليمية والدولية، على. أن يتوجه مساء اليوم إلى الدوحة للمشاركة في مؤتمر الحوار الإيراني – العربي.
وتكتسب جولة عراقتشي أهمية سياسية بالغة، إذ تسبق زيارة مرتقبة للرئيس الأميركي، دونالد. ترامب، للمنطقة، تشمل السعودية وقطر والإمارات، في ظل التصعيد الإقليمي القائم.
وكان الوزير الإيراني قد صرّح، يوم أمس الجمعة، بأنّ الجولة الحالية تأتي ضمن إطار التشاور. المستمر حول القضايا الإقليمية والمحادثات الجارية مع الولايات المتحدة، مؤكداً أهمية إطلاع دول المنطقة على مستجدات الحوار.
وفي سياق متصل، أعلن المتحدث باسم وزارة الخارجية الإيرانية، إسماعيل بقائي، أنّ الفريق. الفني الإيراني سيشارك أيضاً في الجولة الرابعة من المحادثات غير المباشرة مع الولايات المتحدة، والتي ستُعقد في مسقط.
وقال بقائي إنّ الوفد الإيراني سيضم مجموعة من الخبراء والمتخصصين، معتبراً أن وجودهم. ضروري في هذه المرحلة من الحوار لخدمة المصالح العليا للبلاد.
