Member of the Iranian Council of Leadership Experts Ayatollah as-Sayyid Aḥmad Hātamī announces outlining the suggested names for the post of the new Supreme Leader of the Islamic Revolution and Republic.
Hātamī in a telephone conversation with the Iranian television confirmed that “the Council of the Leadership Experts will elect the Supreme Leader at the soonest possible chance”.
He added: “We came close to choose the new Supreme Leader and we operate within the constitutional framework”.
He pointed out that “the enemies are trying to strike the Council of the Leadership Experts after assassinating the martyr Supreme Leader as-Sayyid Hāmeneī”.
On his behalf member of the Council of Leadership Experts as-Sayyid Moğtabā Ḥosseynī said: “I hasn’t been clarified how much time it would need to choose the new Supreme Leader”.
He clarified that this process needs the study of all the circumstances and the consultations.
He hoped that the Council of Leadership Experts will convey at the soonest possible time and announce its final decision choosing the Supreme Leader.

أعلن عضو مجلس خبراء القيادة في إيران آية الله السيد أحمد خاتمي تحديد الأسماء المقترحة لمنصب القائد الجديد للثورة والجمهورية الإسلامية.
وأكد خاتمي، في اتصال هاتفي مع التلفزيون الإيراني، أن “مجلس خبراء القيادة سينتخب القائد في أقرب فرصة ممكنة”.
وأضاف: “اقتربنا من اختيار القائد الجديد ونعمل ضمن الأطر القانونية
وأشار إلى أن “الأعداء يحاولون ضرب مجلس خبراء القيادة بعد اغتيال الشهيد القائد السيد خامنئي”.
من جهته، قال عضو مجلس خبراء القيادة السيد مجتبى حسيني: “لم يتضح بعد كم من الوقت ستستغرق عملية اختيار القائد الجديد”.
وأوضح أن هذه العملية تحتاج إلى دراسة مجموعة من الظروف والمشاورات.
وأمل أن ينعقد مجلس خبراء القيادة في أقرب وقت ممكن، ويعلن قراره النهائي في اختيار القائد
