The Conciliatory Framework commenting on the events that happened today in Iraq says that “the government and the security institutions have to act to fulfill the national duty to protect the state institutions and the general interest”.
In Iraq, the Conciliatory Framework said that it follows “with great concern the exceptional events that the brothers at the aṣ-Ṣadrī Movement are protesting, which case reached attacks against state positions”.
The Conciliatory Framework in a statement pointed out that “the developments today are sad and included aggressions against a number of state institutions in the central and southern provinces”, adding that “we confirm our stance with the state and its institutions, as one can not stand neutral when the state institutions suffer aggressions”.
The Conciliatory Framework also pointed out that “the government and the security institutions have to fulfill the national duty by protecting the state institutions and the general interest”.
The Conciliatory Framework called religious, political, and social actors to intervene in order to prevent a schism and let the language of reason and dialogue triumph, and also that the institutions account for all those who contributed to the troublesome atmosphere and pushing for escalation.
It is also called “the brothers at the aṣ-Ṣadrī Movement to return to the negotiating table”.
The Iraqi Sovereignty Alliance calls for calm and a return to the language of reason
At the same time, the Iraqi Sovereignty Alliance confirmed in a statement “its devotion for social peace and for the national accord between all components of the people and actively support them”.
The statement of the Sovereignty Alliance urged for “calming and letting the language of reason triumph, confirming its readiness for supporting true dialogue to lay down the foundations of a new phase restoring Iraq and its stance”.
The statement called upon the armed forces and all security institutions to “protect the state and all its institutions from conspirators and opportunists”. It also called upon the security institutions to “protect the demonstrators and to be continuously ready at the same time to fight against terrorism and strike upon its hideouts”.
It is interesting to mention that the supporters of the aṣ-Ṣadrī Movement attacked the presidential and the governmental palaces, but also other institutions after the leader of the “aṣ-Ṣadrī Movement” in Iraq, Muqtadā aṣ-Ṣadr withdrew and gave up all political work “permanently”. Also that he would close down all institutions belonging to him, except the Holy Shrine, the Holy Museum, and the aṣ-Ṣadrī family’s heritage institution”.
Hours after the attacks the correspondent of al-Mayadeen confirmed that the hardliners of the aṣ-Ṣadrī Movement withdrew via the as-Sank Bridge, pointing out that they are heading to areas far from the Green Zone.
Our correspondent drew attention to the that “the Iraqi security forces are trying to take control over the situation in the Green Zone”, confirming “the withdrawal of the protester supporters of the aṣ-Ṣadrī Movement from the vicinity”.
At the same time, Joint Operations Command announced that it imposed an all-out curfew in all proveniences of Iraq starting from tonight at 7 p.m.
On its behalf Iraqi Prime Minister Muṣṭafā al-Kāẓimī suspended the cabinet meetings until further notice after protestors stormed its position, also announcing a state of “highest alert for all security forces in Baghdad”.

الإطار التنسيقي يعلّق على الأحداث، التي جرت اليوم في العراق، ويقول إنّ “على الحكومة والمؤسسات الأمنية القيام بما يمليه عليها الواجب الوطني بحماية مؤسسات الدولة والمصالح العامة
قال الإطار التنسيقي في العراق إنّه يتابع “بقلق بالغ الأحداث الخاصة بتظاهرات الإخوة في التيار الصدري، والتي وصلت الى مهاجمة عناوين الدولة”.
ولفت الإطار التنسيقي، في بيان، إلى أنّ “تطورات اليوم مؤسفة، وشملت الاعتداء على عدد من مؤسسات الدولة في محافظات الوسط والجنوب”، مضيفاً “أننا نؤكد وقوفنا مع الدولة ومؤسساتها، إذ لا يمكن الوقوف على الحياد حينما تتعرض مؤسسات الدولة للاعتداء”.
وأشار الإطار التنسيقي أيضاً إلى أنّ “على الحكومة والمؤسسات الأمنية القيام بما يمليه عليها الواجب الوطني في حماية مؤسسات الدولة والمصالح العامة”.
ودعا الإطار التنسيقي جميع الفعاليات الدينية والسياسية والاجتماعية إلى التدخل من أجل درء الفتنة، وتغليب لغة العقل والحوار، وتحميل المسؤولية لكل من يساهم في توتير الأجواء والدفع نحو التصعيد.
ودعا “الإخوة في التيار الصدري إلى العودة إلى طاولة الحوار”.
تحالف السيادة العراقي يدعو إلى التهدئة وتحكيم لغة العقل
في الوقت نفسه،أكّد تحالف السيادة العراقي، في بيان، “حرصه على السِّلم المجتمعي والوفاق الوطني بين جميع مكونات الشعب وقواه الفاعلة”.
وحثّ بيان تحالف السيادة على “التهدئة وتحكيم لغة العقل، مؤكداً استعداده لدعم حوار حقيقي يؤسس مرحلةً جديدة تعيد إلى العراق مكانته”.
ودعا البيان القوات المسلحة وكلّ المؤسسات الأمنية إلى “حماية الدولة ومؤسساتها من المندسين والمتربصين”. كما دعا المؤسسات الأمنية إلى “حماية المتظاهرين، وإلى استمرار جاهزيتها، في الوقت نفسه، في محاربة الإرهاب وضرب أوكاره”.
الجدير ذكره أن أنصار التيار الصدري اقتحموا القصرين الرئاسي والحكومي ومؤسسات أخرى، بعد انسحاب زعيم “التيار الصدري” في العراق، مقتدى الصدر، واعتزال العمل السياسي “نهائياً”، وإغلاق كل المؤسسات التابعة له، ما عدا “المرقد الشريف والمتحف الشريف وهيئة تراث آل الصدر”.
وبعد الاقتحام بساعات، أكّد مراسل الميادين انسحاب مناصرين للتيار الصدري عبر جسر السنك، مشيراً إلى أنّهم توجّهوا إلى مناطق بعيدة عن المنطقة الخضراء.
ولفت مراسلنا إلى أنّ “القوات الأمنية العراقية تُحاول السيطرة على الأوضاع في المنطقة الخضراء”، مؤكداً “انسحاب متظاهرين مناصرين للتيار الصدري من محيطها”.
بالتزامن، أعلنت قيادة العمليات المشتركة فرض حظر التجوال الشامل في جميع محافظات العراق، اعتباراً من الساعة الـ7، مساء اليوم.
من جانبه، علّق رئيس الوزراء العراقي، مصطفى الكاظمي، جلسات المجلس حتى إشعار آخر، بعد دخول متظاهرين مقرَّه، معلناً حالة “الإنذار القصوى لكل القوات الأمنية في بغداد
