On Friday the Syrian Foreign Ministry criticized the illegal entry of an American delegation led by Deputy State Secretary Ethan Goldrich to Northeastern Syria and holding meetings with the separatist organizations.
The Ministry of Foreign and Diaspora Affairs in a statement confirmed that this “constitutes an outrageous breach of Syrian sovereignty and its territorial unity and integrity, but also to the principles of the international law and the U.N. Security Council resolutions about Syria”.
The Ministry added that the claims that this visit and the meetings aimed to solve the wrongdoings against the residents of Dayr az-Zūr and the dangers of interference from beyond the region is “a ridiculous lie added to the policy of hypocrisy utilized by the American administration stealing the wealth of the Syrian people and its possessions, while also imposing illegal, inhuman and immoral forced measures that all contribute to the killing of Syrians”.
It pointed out that “this outrageous intervention to the internal affairs of Syria by the United States of America and its limitless support to the terrorist organizations and the separatists’ militias once again shows the destructive role by the United States in Syria that aims to prolong the crisis there and increase the sufferings of its people”.
The Ministry ended its statement by underlining that it renounces these actions and that Syria has the right and duty to defend its sovereignty and protect its citizens by all methods permitted by international law.
It also confirmed that Damascus is determined to “enforce the sovereignty of the state to all its territories and end all forms of occupation and the illegal presence of the foreign forces in its soil”.
A few days ago a delegation of the International Coalition arrived at the al-‘Umar oilfield and contacted the ribal fighters in eastern Dayr az-Zūr. Thus according to what the correspondent of al-Mayadeen had reported.
According to the sources, the delegation asked the “Syrian Democratic Forces Qasad” and the tribal fighters “to immediately cease fighting and start negotiations between the two sides.
Deputy Spokesman of the American State Department Vidant Patel said that the American officials led by Deputy State Secretary Ethan Goldrich and Commander of the Joint Action Forces Major General Joel Foyel in Northeastern Syria have met with the leadership of Qasad, its Democratic Council “Masad” and the leaders of the Arab tribes.
Clashes broke out between Qasad on the one hand and members of the “Dayr az-Zūr Military Council” and the members of the Arab tribes on the other in most areas of Dayr az-Zūr in the Syria region of al-Ğazīra.
The clashes cooled down between the tribal fighters and the Qasad after the latter managed to enforce its control over the village of Daybān in the rural area of the Syrian Province of Dayr az-Zūr that lies at the first defense line at the eastern villages that are under the control of the tribal forces. That is where the headquarters of the sheiks of the al-‘Akīdāt tribe and the council of its leading sheikh Ibrāhīm al-Hafl is to be found, who leads the tribal fighters.
The heavy clashes went on in Daybān, al-‘Azba, al-Baṣīra, and Ğadīd Bakāra in the eastern countryside that led to deaths and injuries in addition to a number of kidnappings.
The tribal members managed to expel the armed men of Qasad from the areas they were present in al-Kaškiyya, Abū Ḥamām, and Ġarānīğ and took control over a number of its compounds in aš-Ša‘fa and Šanān. They also destroyed a number of military vehicles and targeted one of the oil fields in the area of al-‘Azba leading to its burning.
These clashes took place after Qasad arrested the “commander of the Dayr az-Zūr Military Council” called “Abū Hawla” and four other members of the council after bringing them to a military meeting at the base of the International “Coalition” in the Western al-Ḥasaka Dam.

ندّدت وزارة الخارجية السورية، اليوم الجمعة، بالدخول غير المشروع لوفد أميركي برئاسة نائب مساعد وزير الخارجية الأميركي، إيثان غولدريتش، إلى شمال شرقي سوريا وإجرائه لقاءات مع التنظيمات الانفصالية.
وأكّدت وزارة الخارجية والمغتربين، في بيان، أنّ ذلك “يمثّل انتهاكاً فاضحاً لسيادة سوريا ووحدة وسلامة أراضيها، ولمبادئ القانون الدولي، وقرارات مجلس الأمن ذات الصلة بسوريا”.
وأضافت الوزارة أنّ الادعاء بأنّ هذه الزيارة واللقاءات التي جرت تهدف إلى معالجة مظالم سكان دير الزور ومخاطر التدخّل من الخارج في المنطقة إنّما هو “كذب مفضوح، يُضاف إلى نهج النفاق الذي تروّج له الإدارة الأميركية التي تسرق ثروات الشعب السوري ومقدّراته، وتفرض إجراءات قسرية أحادية الجانب غير شرعية ولا إنسانية ولا أخلاقية، والتي تساهم بقتل السوريين”.
وأشارت إلى أنّ “هذا التدخّل السافر في الشؤون الداخلية لسوريا من جانب الولايات المتحدة الأميركية، ودعمها اللامحدود للمجموعات الإرهابية والميليشيات الانفصالية، يظهران مجدّداً الدور التخريبي للولايات المتحدة في سوريا، والذي يهدف إلى إطالة أمد الأزمة فيها وزيادة معاناة شعبها”.
وختمت الوزارة بيانها بالتشديد على إدانتها لهذه الممارسات، وعلى حق سوريا وواجبها في الدفاع عن سيادتها وحماية مواطنيها بكل الوسائل التي يكفلها القانون الدولي.
وأكّدت تصميم دمشق على “بسط سيادة الدولة على كل أراضيها، وإنهاء كل أشكال الاحتلال والوجود غير الشرعي للقوات الأجنبية على أراضيها”.
وقبل أيام، وصل وفد من التحالف الدولي إلى حقل العمر النفطي، وتواصل مع مقاتلي العشائر في ريف دير الزور الشرقي، بحسب ما أفادت مصادر الميادين.
ووفقاً للمصادر، طلب الوفد إلى “قوات سوريا الديمقراطية”، “قسد”، ومقاتلي العشائر، “وقفاً فورياً لإطلاق النار”، وبدء التفاوض بين الطرفين.
وقال نائب المتحدث باسم الخارجية الأميركية فيدانت باتل للصحافيين إنّ مسؤولين أميركيين يتقدمهم نائب وزير الخارجية إيثان غولدريتش وقائد قوة المهام المشتركة (العزم الصلب) اللواء جويل فويل اجتمعوا في شمال شرقي سوريا مع قادة من “قسد” ومجلسها الديمقراطي (مسد) وزعماء من العشائر العربية.
واندلعت اشتباكات بين “قسد” من جهة، وعناصر “مجلس دير الزور العسكري” وأبناء العشائر العربية من جهة أخرى، في معظم مناطق ريف دير الزور الواقعة في الجزيرة السورية.
وانخفضت وتيرة الاشتباكات بين مقاتلي العشائر و”قسد”، بعد تمكّن الأخيرة من فرض سيطرتها على بلدة ذيبان في ريف دير الزور السورية، التي تعد خط دفاع أوّل عن قرى الريف الشرقي التي سيطر عليها المقاتلون العشائريون، ويوجد فيها مقر مشيخة العكيدات، وديوان شيخ مشايخها إبراهيم الهفل، الذي يقود مقاتلي العشائر.
ودارت اشتباكات عنيفة في كل من ذيبان والعزبة والبصيرة وجديد بكارة في الريف الشرقي، أدّت إلى وقوع قتلى وجرحى، إضافة إلى عدد من الأسرى.
وتمكّن أبناء العشائر من طرد مسلحي “قسد” من مناطق تمركزهم في كل من الكشكية وأبو حمام وغرانيج، والسيطرة على عدد من مقارّهم في الشعفة وشنان، كما أعطبوا عدداً من آلياتهم العسكرية، واستهدافوا إحدى آبار النفط في منطقة العزبة، الأمر الذي أدى إلى احتراقها.
وجرت الاشتباكات على خلفية اعتقال “قسد” لـ”قائد مجلس دير الزور العسكري”، الملقب بـ”أبي خولة”، و4 من أعضاء المجلس، بعد استدراجهم إلى اجتماع عسكري في قاعدة لـ”التحالف الدولي”، في سد الحسكة الغربي
