Sources on the ground confirm to al-Mayadeen that the United States of America started to deploy special air defense equipment at the oilfields, which it occupies in Eastern Syria.
Local sources to al-Mayadeen confirmed that the United States of America started to deploy special air defense equipment within its bases at the “Koniko” gas production station in Northeast Dayr az-Zūr in Syria. This comes days after the installment of air defense systems in its biggest base in Syria, which lays at the “al-‘Umar” oilfield.
The sources added that Washington moved in the Syrian lands more than 60 trucks containing weapons and special air defense systems, since its bases in Syria were targeted since some two weeks ago.
The sources also pointed out that “the air defense systems contained on-shoulder portable missiles and others specially designed to deal with drones, with the aim to confront new attacks”.
The sources explained that “there is an atmosphere of confusion and worry, in which the American bases live, fearing of repeated missile attacks upon these bases”.
It was also revealed that “the coalition forces present at the al-‘Umar base have performed a number of trainings on how to evacuate the living building rapidly within the oilfield in case those are exposed to attacks”.
The bases of the “International Coalition”, which is led by the United States suffered 5 attacks by missiles within less than two weeks. This matter led to a rapid deployment of the these forces.
It is said that the attacks were carried out from areas under the control of the Syrian Army by popular forces, and the aim is to increase the popular resistance against the American presence to convince it to withdraw from the country.
Two days ago special sources to al-Mayadeen reported an attack against the Coalition forces at the al-‘Umar oilfield, which was the second of such attack within 12 hours after the “Koniko” natural gas station suffered a mortar attack. Officials at the Pentagon also stated that the forces of this country suffered “indirect attacks by firearms” in Eastern Syria.

أكّدت مصادر ميدانية للميادين أن الولايات المتحدة الأميركية بدأت نشر معدَّاتٍ خاصّة بالدفاع الجوي، ضمن قاعدتها في معمل غاز “كونيكو” شمالي شرقي دير الزور في سوريا، وذلك بعد أيام من نصب منظومة دفاعٍ جويٍّ داخل أكبر قواعدها في سوريا، الواقعة في حقل “العُمر” النفطي
وأضافت المصادر أن واشنطن أدخلت الأراضيَ السورية أكثرَ من 60 شاحنة، تضمّنت أسلحةً ومعدَّات خاصّة بالدفاع الجوي، منذ بدء استهداف قواعدها في سوريا منذ نحو أسبوعين
ولفتت المصادر إلى أن “منظومة الدفاع الجوي تتضمّن صواريخ محمولة على الكتف، وأخرى خاصّة بالتعامل مع الطيران المُسَيَّر، بهدف التصدي لأيِّ هجماتٍ جديدة
وبيَّنت المصادر أن “هناك حالةً من الإرباك والقلق تعيشها القواعد الأميركية، خشيةً من تكرار الهجمات الصاروخية على هذه القواعد
وكشفت أيضاً “إجراء قوّات التحالف الموجودة في حقل العمر عدة تدريباتٍ عن طريق الإخلاء السريع للمباني السكنية داخل الحقل في حال التعرّض لهجماتٍ
وتعرّضت قواعد “التحالف الدولي”، الذي تقوده الولايات المتحدة، لِـ 5 هجماتٍ بقذائف صاروخية خلال أقل من أسبوعين، الأمر الذي أدّى إلى استنفارٍ واسعٍ في صفوف هذه القوات
ويُرجَّح أنَّ الهجمات تتمّ من مناطق سيطرة الجيش السوري، عبر مجموعات شعبية، وتهدف إلى تصعيد المقاومة الشعبية ضدَّ الوجود الأميركي لإرغامه على الانسحاب من البلاد
وقبل يومين، أفادت مصادر خاصة بالميادين باستهداف قاعدة التحالف الدولي في حقل العمر، وهو الهجوم الثاني خلال 12 ساعة بعد تعرُّض حقل “كونيكو” للغاز الطبيعيّ لهجومٍ بقذائف الهاون. كما أقرّ مسؤول في البنتاغون بتعرض قوات بلاده في شرقي سوريا لـ”هجوم غير مباشِر بالأسلحة النارية
