The Sudanese Army confirms the formation of the new government being close after the deposition of the deposition of the government of ‘Abd Allah Ḥamdūk, amidst international calls for reinstating the civilian rule in Sudan.
The Sudanese Army, which runs the state affairs in light of the deposition of its civilian partners from power, on Thursday announced that the formation of the Sudanese government “became imminent”.
The Sudanese television today, on Thursday cited the media advisor of Sudanese Army Commander ‘Abd al-Fattāḥ al-Burhān, Brigadier General aṭ-Ṭāhir Abū Hāğa saying that “the formation of the new government has became imminent”. Also adding that “all internal and foreign initiatives fulfilling the national interest” are studied.
Sources close to the deposed Sudanese Prime Minister ‘Abd Allah Ḥamdūk mentioned yesterday, on Wednesday that “the army is still negotiating with him to reach an agreement him reinstating him as Prime Minister”.
Yet the Prime Minister’s office published a statement on Facebook confirming its insistence on “the condition to release all those detained and reinstate the constitutional institutions to the state they were in before 25 October before entering any dialogue”.
Today the Commander of the Sudanese Army received a phone call from American State Secretary Antony Blinken and the two agreed to speed up the formation of the government.
Previously al-Burhān confirmed that naming the new Prime Minister and Sovereignty Council members “after a week”, explaining that the next Prime Minister will be a technocrat one.
This all happens at the same time with Unites States, Great Britain and Germany presented resolution proposal about Sudan to the Human Rights Council demanding the immediate return of the civilians to power and condemning “with the most severe terms possible the coup committed by the Sudanese Army”.
On 25 October Al-Burhān announced state of emergency and dissolution of the transitional authority institutions, while the government was also dissolved and most ministers became detained by the military force.
Since the announcement of these decisions the country especially in the capital witnesses a wave of ongoing protests, while the protesters took to block the main roads and announced civil disobedience. On the other hand the security forces confronted this with aggression resulting the death of 12 people and the injury of dozens, according to the Central Medical in Sudan.

الجيش السوداني يؤكد قرب تشكيل حكومة جديدة بعد إطاحته حكومة عبد الله حمدوك، وسط دعوات دولية إلى عودة الحكم المدني في السودان
أكد الجيش السوداني، الذي يدير شؤون البلاد في ظل إطاحته الشركاء المدنيين من الحكم، اليوم الخميس، أنّ تشكيل حكومة السودان “بات وشيكاً”.
ونقل تلفزيون السودان، اليوم الخميس، عن المستشار الإعلامي لقائد الجيش السوداني عبد الفتاح البرهان، العميد الطاهر أبو هاجة، قوله إنّ “تشكيل الحكومة بات وشيكاً”، مضيفاً أنّه تجري دراسة “كل المبادرات الداخلية والخارجية على نحو يحقق المصلحة الوطنية
وذكرت مصادر قريبة من رئيس الوزراء السوداني المعزول، عبد الله حمدوك، أمس الأربعاء، أنّ “الجيش لا يزال يتفاوض معه للتوصل إلى اتفاق يُعيده رئيساً للوزراء
إلاّ أنّ مكتب رئيس الوزراء نشر في “فيسبوك” بياناً يؤكد فيه التمسك بـ”شروط إطلاق سراح كل المعتقلين، وإعادة المؤسسات الدستورية إلى ما قبل 25 تشرين الأول/أكتوبر، قبل الانخراط في أي حوار
وتلقى قائد الجيش السوداني اليوم اتصالاً من وزير الخارجية الأميركي أنتوني بلينكن، واتفقا على الإسراع في تشكيل الحكومة
وفي وقت سابق، أكّد البرهان أنّه ستتم تسمية رئيس الحكومة الجديدة وأعضاء مجلس السيادة الجدد “في غضون أسبوع”، موضحاً أنّ رئيس الوزراء المقبل سيكون من التكنوقراط
يأتي ذلك بالتزامن مع تقديم الولايات المتّحدة وبريطانيا وألمانيا مشروع قرار بشأن السودان إلى مجلس حقوق الإنسان، يطالب بعودة المدنيين فوراً إلى الحكم، ويُدين “بأشدّ العبارات الانقلاب الذي نفّذه الجيش السوداني
وكان البرهان أعلن، في 25 تشرين الأول/أكتوبر، حال الطوارئ وحل مؤسسات السلطة الانتقالية، بينما جرى حل الحكومة واعتقال أغلبية الوزراء من جانب قوة عسكرية
ومنذ إعلان هذه القرارات، تشهد البلاد، وخصوصاً العاصمة، موجة من الاحتجاجات المستمرة، بينما يقوم المتظاهرون بإغلاق الشوارع وإعلان العصيان المدني. وفي المقابل، واجهت قوات الأمن ذلك بقمع عنيف، أسفر عن مقتل 12 شخصاً وإصابة العشرات، بحسب لجنة الأطباء المركزية في السودان.
