There are fierce clashes Abīn between the forces of President ‘Abd Rabbihi Manṣūr Hādī and the forces of “The Southern Transitional Council” supported by the Emirates. This comes only hours after statements by “The Transition”, which indicate “the imminent launch of the war”.
The local sources of the al-Mayadeen reported this Saturday morning the outbreak of fierce clashes between the forces of President ‘Abd Rabbihi Manṣūr Hādī and the “al-Iṣlāḥ” on one side, and the forces of “The Southern Transitional Council” supported by the Emirates on the other. And that is happening in the east of Abīn province in the south of Yemen.
The explosion of the situation militarily comes only hours after the talk by “The Southern Transitional Council” about “the imminent launch of the war, and the real distancing of a possibility to reach a sustainable political agreement”.
The “Transitional” council accuses the government of Hādī with an “open threat to the ceasefire, the peace, and the stability”, in addition to “committing breaches, which went of without the execution of the Riyadh Agreement until now”.
The forces of the “Security Belt” in Abīn belonging to the “Southern Transition” issued a statement last Wednesday, which said that “the level of combat preparedness was elevated to high level”.
The military confrontations between the forces of “Hādī” and the forces of “The Southern Transitional Council” supported by the Emirates last August resulted in the expulsion of the government of President Hādī and his forces from the city of ‘Adan.
The government of Hādī did not succeed in returning to the province, only by the “Riyadh Agreement”, which ruled the creation of partial government between the south and the north, and the integration of the forces of “The Southern Transitional Council” into the ranks of security and military forces of Hādī’s government.
Until now the two sides exchange accusations of sabotaging and prevention of the execution of the agreement’s stipulations.
The forces of the “Transition” laid a siege on the presidential palace last month in the al-Ma‘āšīq district of ‘Adan and put up checkpoints around the palace in the northeast of the city. The situation was calmed in the southern province after the Saudi forces rushed in a Yemeni force, which took training for the security of the ports, so to defend the ‘Adan international airport.

أفادت مصادر محلية للميادين صباح اليوم السبت، باندلاع اشتباكات عنيفة بين قوات الرئيس عبدربه منصور هادي و”الإصلاح” من جهة، وقوات “المجلس الانتقالي الجنوبي” المدعومة إماراتياً من جهةٍ أخرى وذلك في شرق محافظة أبين جنوب اليمن
ويأتي انفجار الوضع عسكرياً بعد ساعات من حديث “المجلس الانتقالي الجنوبي” عن “الاندلاع الوشيك للحرب، والابتعاد بشكل حقيقي عن إمكانية التوصل إلى اتفاق سياسي مستدام
المجلس “الانتقالي” اتهم حكومة هادي بـ”التهديد العلني للهدنة والسلام والاستقرار”، إضافة إلى “ممارسة الانتهاكات التي حالت دون تنفيذ اتفاق الرياض حتى الآن
وكانت قوات “الحزام الأمني” في أبين الموالية لـ “الانتقالي الجنوبي”، أصدرت بياناً الاربعاء الماضي، قالت فيه إنها “رفعت درجة استعدادها القتالي إلى الدرجة العالية
وأشار البيان إلى أن “أي تحرك عسكري من قبل قوات هادي باتجاه عاصمة أبين، سيتم الرد عليه بتقدم كاسح وسريع إلى مدينة شقرة”، حيث تتمركز القوات الموالية لحكومة هادي
وأسفرت المواجهات العسكرية بين قوات “هادي” وقوات “المجلس الانتقالي الجنوبي” المدعوم إمارتياً في آب/أغسطس الماضي عن طرد حكومة الرئيس هادي وقواتها من مدينة عدن
ولم تتمكن حكومة هادي من العودة إلى المحافظة إلا بـ”اتفاق الرياض” الذي قضى بتأليف حكومة مناصفة بين الشمال والجنوب ودمج قوات “المجلس الانتقالي الجنوبي” في قوام القوات الأمنية والعسكرية لحكومة هادي
وحتى اليوم يتبادل الطرفان الاتهامات بالمماطلة والتمنع عن تنفيذ بنود الاتفاق
وكانت قوات “الإنتقالي” طوقت الشهر الماضي القصر الرئاسي في منطقة المعاشيق في عدن، وأقامت حواجز تفتيش قرب القصر شمالي شرق المدينة. وساد جو من التوتر في المحافظة الجنوبية بعد أن دفعت القوات السعودية بقوة يمنية خضعت لتدريب على أمن الموانئ لحماية مطار عدن الدولي
