The Turkish Ministry of Defense announces the death of 6 Turkish soldiers and the injury of another 9 in an artillery bombardment by the Syrian Army in the Province of Idlib. The Turkish President says that Ankara “will not leave the attacks by the Syrian Army against the Turkish Forces in Idlib without an answer”, right at the same time when the Russian Ministry of Defense’s announcement that the Turkish planes did not bombard the positions of the Syrian Army.
The American Turkish Ministry of Defense announces the death of 6 Turkish soldiers and the injury of 9 others in a bombardment by the Syrian Army if the Province of Idlib (Northwest of Syria).
Added that the Turkish Forces “answered to the attack and destroyed enemy targets in the area of Idlib”, according to its expression, claiming that the Syrian Forces executes the bombardment regardless of its danger to the position, where previously Turkish forces gathered.
Erdoğan: We won’t leave the attack of the Syrian Army on our forces without an answer
In response the Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan said that Ankara “will not leave the attack of the Syrian Army upon the Turkish forces in Idlib without an answer” affirming that “the operations are ongoing there and 40 positions were targeted”.
He added that “Turkish security officials are conducting talks with the Russia, and there will be talks if the situation necessitates it”.
Erdoğan added in his words said in Ankara airport right before his departure to Ukraine: “Our army responded to the bombardment of the regime to our troops in Northern Syria and killed around 30 or 35 Syrian soldiers according to the preliminary informations”, clarifying that “artillery weapons and Turkish F-16 plane’s are still responding to the bombardment of our soldiers in Idlib until this second”.
“The Russian Reconciliation”: The Turkish army did not inform Russia about its movements in Idlib.
The Russian Center for Reconciliation clarified that “the Turkish Air Force did not penetrate the Syrian airspace and no hits were registered on the Syrian Forces” confirming that the Turkish army did not inform Russia about its movement in Idlib when it was exposed to fire by the Syrian governmental forces”.
In a statement the center stressed that “the soldiers of Russia and Turkey are in contact, and procedures were drawn to evacuate the wounded to Turkish lands”, pointing out that the control of the airspace above the de-escalation zone in Idlib is continuously maintained by the Russian Air Force.
Russian Ministry of Defense: the Turkish plane did not bombard the positions of the Syrian Army
The Russian Ministry of Defense revealed on its own side that the Turkish planes did not penetrate the Syrian airspace and did not bombard the positions of the Syrian Army, and that “the Turkish Forces strolling in Syrian lands were exposed to the fire of the Syrian Army, which was targeting terrorists”.
The sources of al-Mayadeen in Idlib added a Turkish convoy on last Saturday performed a patrol in position belonging to the Hay’at Taḥrīr aš-Šām [an umbrella for the an-Nuṣra Front, internationally recognized terrorists] in the vicinity of the city of Idlib.

وزارة الدفاع التركية تعلن مقتل 6 جنود أتراك وجرح 9 آخرين في قصف مدفعي للجيش السوري في منطقة إدلب، والرئيس التركي يقول إن أنقرة “لن تترك هجمات الجيش السوري على القوات التركية في إدلب دون رد”، بالتزامن مع إعلان وزارة الدفاع الروسية أن الطائرات التركية لم تقصف أهدافاً للجيش السوري
أعلنت وزارة الدفاع التركية مقتل 6 جنود أتراك وجرح 9 آخرين في قصف مدفعي للجيش السوري في منطقة إدلب (شمال غرب سوريا
وأضافت،أن القوات التركية “ردت على الهجوم، ودمرت أهدافاً معادية في منطقة إدلب”، بحسب تعبيرها، مدعيةً أن القوات السورية نفذّت القصف رغم إخطارها بمواقع تمركّز القوات التركية مسبقاً
إردوغان: لن نترك هجمات الجيش السوري على قواتنا دون رد
وفي ردود الفعل، قال الرئيس التركي رجب طيب إردوغان إن أنقرة “لن تترك هجمات الجيش السوري على القوات التركية في إدلب دون رد”، مؤكداً أن “العمليات مستمرة فيها وقد تم استهداف 40 موقعاً
وأضاف أن “مسؤولين أمنيين أتراك يجرون محادثات مع روسيا، وسأجري محادثات إذا اقتضت الضرورة
وأضاف إردوغان في كلمة ألقاها في مطار أنقرة قبيل مغادرته إلى أوكرانيا: “قام جيشنا بالرد على قصف النظام لقواتنا شمالي سوريا وقتل نحو 30 أو 35 جندياً سورياً حسب المعلومات الأولية”، موضحاً أن “سلاح المدفعية وطائرات إف- 16 التركية لا تزال ترد على قصف جنودنا في إدلب حتى اللحظة
“المصالحة الروسي”: الجيش التركي لم يبلّغ روسيا بتحركاته في إدلب
مركز المصالحة الروسي أوضح أن “سلاح الجو التركي لم ينتهك الاجواء السورية ولم يتم تسجيل أي ضربات على القوات السورية، مؤكداً أن الجيش التركي لم يبلغ روسيا بتحركاته في إدلب عندما تعرض لقصف القوات الحكومية السورية
وفي بيانٍ له شدد المركز على أن “عسكريي روسيا وتركيا على تواصل وقد تم تنظيم إجراءات لإجلاء الجرحى إلى الأراضي التركية”، لافتاً إلى أن مراقبة المجال الجوي فوق منطقة خفض التصعيد في إدلب تتم باستمرار من قبل القوات الجوية الروسية

وزارة الدفاع الروسية كشفت بدورها أن الطيران التركي لم يخترق الأجواء السورية ولم يقصف أهدافًا للجيش السوري، وأن “القوات التركية المتوغلة في الأراضي السورية تعرضت لنيران الجيش السوري التي كانت تستهدف إرهابيين
وأفادت مصادر الميادين في إدلب بقيام رتل تركي يوم السبت الماضي بجولة في المواقع التابعة لهيئة تحرير الشام في محيط مدينة إدلب
يأتي ذلك في ظل تقدّم الجيش السوري في ريفي إدلبي وحلب، حيث أفاد مراسل الميادين بتحرير الجيش السوري لـ قريتي داديخ وكفربطيخ جنوب سراقب، بريف إدلب الجنوبي، حيث أمسى على بعد 3 كيلومترات منها
