In a statement to the “Nūr News” agency a high level security official warned against the American attempts to relaunch the mechanism known as “loot courts”.
The official says: “If Washington used this mechanism, then Iran will take serious and swift measures to impose a tool against the American interests in the Gulf”.
He added: “If it was decided that Washington would take custody over the Iranian oil and then confiscate it, then it should be prepared to expose its interests to retaliatory measures”.
He warned that “Tehran also has the necessary means to raise the of cushy policy, in case Washington took the path of economic and naval confrontation”.
He confirmed that “the interests of this country in cargo, energy, insurances, finance and infrastructure all linked to the Gulf will all not be safe from the consequences”.
He stated: “We are not seeking damages to the trade of the regional states, but we should not confuse this with Iran’s inability to respond”.
He continued: “America cannot allow itself the right to confiscate and at the time believe that its interests in the Gulf would be safe from any mutual response”.
He underlined that “the final decision about the method of response and its level will depend on the behavior of the other side”. He pointed out that “the companies that play a role in the America owned interests, or in their financing, or in their insurances, or in their operations might be selected and that is under monitoring”.
He added: “The Americans are mistaken, if they believe that they can benefit from disturbing the maritime networks and can ignore the consequences of their measures”.
He also pointed out that “starting to appropriate Iranian oil and confiscating it in a systemic form will mean the beginning of a two-way path”. He concluded: “In case of need the level of the American measures and the appropriate measures to respond to them will be outlined for all”.
In the same context the Bloomberg agency had reported on Wednesday that the American Justice Department is preparing to activate naval war courts that haven’t been in use for a long time, to make the operations of military appropriations easier over Iranian oil tankers as American “war loot”. This is according to three people with insight into the plan.
The agency said that reviving the “prize courts” that would probably face legal complications, aims to enhance the blockade imposed on Iran and to compensate for the costs of the war”.

حذر مسؤول أمني رفيع، في تصريح لوكالة “نورنيوز” من المساعي الأميركية لإعادة تفعيل الآلية المعروفة باسم “محاكم الغنائم”.
وقال المسؤول: “إذا استخدمت واشنطن هذه الآلية، فإن إيران ستتخذ إجراءات جادة وسريعة لفرض تكلفة مقابلة على المصالح الأميركية في الخليج”.
وأضاف: “إذا كان من المقرر أن تقوم واشنطن باحتجاز النفط الإيراني ثم مصادرته، فعليها أن تستعد لتعريض مصالحها لإجراءات انتقامية”.
وحذر من أن “طهران تمتلك أيضاً الأدوات اللازمة لرفع تكلفة هذه السياسة إذا صعّدت واشنطن مسار المواجهة الاقتصادية والبحرية”.
وأكد أن “مصالح هذا البلد في الشحن والطاقة والتأمين والتمويل والبنية التحتية المرتبطة بالخليج لن تكون بمنأى عن التداعيات
وأردف: “لا نسعى إلى الإضرار بتجارة دول المنطقة لكن لا ينبغي الخلط بين ذلك وبين عجز إيران عن الرد”.
وتابع: “لا يمكن لأميركا أن تمنح نفسها حق المصادرة، وفي الوقت نفسه، تتوقع أن تظل مصالحها في الخليج بمنأى عن أي رد متبادل”.
وشدد على أن “القرار النهائي بشأن كيفية الرد ومستواه سيكون مرهوناً بسلوك الطرف المقابل”، مشيراً إلى أن “الشركات التي تؤدي دوراً في ملكية المصالح الأميركية أو تمويلها أو تأمينها أو تشغيلها قد جرى تحديدها، وهي تخضع للمراقبة”.
وأضاف: “يخطئ الأميركيون إذا اعتقدوا أنهم يستطيعون بالاستفادة من تعقيدات شبكة الملاحة أن يتجنبوا تحمّل تبعات إجراءاتهم”.
ولفت إلى أن “بدء احتجاز النفط الإيراني ومصادرته بصورة منظمة سيعني بدء مسار ثنائي الاتجاه”، وتابع: “عند الضرورة سيُحدَّد لكل مستوى من الإجراءات الأميركية مستوى متناسباً من الرد”.
وفي السياق نفسه، أفادت وكالة “بلومبرغ”، أمس الأربعاء، بأن وزارة العدل الأميركية تستعد لتفعيل محكمة حرب بحرية ظلت خاملة لفترة طويلة لتبسيط عملية الاستيلاء العسكري على ناقلات النفط الإيرانية كـ”غنائم حرب” أميركية، وذلك وفقاً لثلاثة أشخاص مطلعين على الخطط.
