Secretary of the Iranian Supreme National Security Council Major General Moḥsen Reẓā’ī during his meeting with the Qatari Prime Minister in Tehran warns Washington about the consequences of any aggressive act against its country and sets practical steps as a condition to reopen the Strait of Hormuz.

Secretary of the Iranian Supreme National Security Council Major General Moḥsen Reẓā’ī in Tehran met Qatari Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Muḥammad ibn ‘Abd ar-Raḥmān Āl Tānī to discuss the regional situation.
During the meeting Major General Reẓā’ī warned the United States of America that “if it’s started any aggressive action against Iran, it will carry the consequences that will extend to its military and economic interests that will enter history”.
About the maritime freedom, Reẓā’ī underlined that “the United States first must take practical steps to implement the conditions of Iran and after that Iran will take a step towards reopening the Strait of Hormuz”.
On his behalf Qatari Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Muḥammad ibn ‘Abd ar-Raḥmān Āl Tānī confirmed that the dedication of his country to continue the coordination, pointing out that Qatar “is dedicated within the current sensitive conditions in the region to the cooperation with Iran”.
‘Arāqčī: Washington fell short of its commitments, while we continue to defend our security
On his behalf during his meeting with his Qatari counterpart Irani Foreign Minister ‘Abbās ‘Arāqčī welcomed the continued efforts by the regional and neighboring states to help ease the tensions.
‘Arāqčī confirmed that the current situation is the result of the American-Israeli ministry aggression and the continued illegal American steps against his country, pointing out that Iran is committed with a good will of understanding to end the war, but the United States fell short of its commitments, delayed their implementation and revealed that it is an enemy of the Iranian people by a new wave of economic terrorism.
The Iranian Foreign Minister underlined that Tehran’s position is clear to enhance trust between the regional states to find a regional security mechanism that is independent from the foreign interventions. He explained that the achievement of this security requires the states to be committed to good neighboring policies and not let their territories to be used to launch aggression, or economic war against Iran.
He reiterated his confirmation of the will and reassurance of his country to safeguard its national interests and security using all its capabilities to defend its sovereignty.
Oh his behalf the Qatari Prime Minister confirmed the dedication of Doha to the security of the region and its sovereignty, underlining the continued negotiations for de-escalation.
Earlier official spokesman of the Qatari Foreign Ministry Māğid al-Anṣārī had confirmed that the negotiations of the Prime Minister in Tehran will address the freedom of maritime navigation in the Strait of Hormuz and the need to restore it to how it was before 28 February, in addition to discussing the ways to de-escalate and the calm the conditions down to make it suitable for the dialogue.
This meeting comes amidst growing tension witnessed by the region, especially in light of not reaching a final agreement about stopping the war against Iran that had erupted at the end of February and the Memorandum of Understanding signed in June hasn’t fully stopped it. Thus Qatar and Pakistan are conducting a mediation to reach a final agreement ending the war that was started by Washington against Iran.

التقى أمين المجلس الأعلى للأمن القومي الإيراني، اللواء محسن رضائي، رئيس الوزراء وزير الخارجية القطري، محمد بن عبد الرحمن آل ثاني، في طهران لبحث تطوّرات الأوضاع الإقليمية.
وحذّر اللواء رضائي خلال اللقاء الولايات المتحدة الأميركية من أنها “إذا بدأت أيّ عمل عدائي ضدّ إيران، فستتحمّل عواقب تمسّ مصالحها العسكرية والاقتصادية يُسجّلها التاريخ”.
وحول الملاحة البحرية، شدّد رضائي على أنه “يجب على الولايات المتحدة أولاً اتخاذ إجراءات عملية لتنفيذ شروط إيران، وبعد ذلك ستتخذ إيران خطوة نحو إعادة فتح مضيق هرمز”.
من جهته، أكّد رئيس الوزراء وزير الخارجية القطري، محمد بن عبد الرحمن آل ثاني، حرص بلاده على مواصلة التنسيق، مشيراً إلى أنّ قطر “حريصة في ظلّ الظروف الحسّاسة الراهنة في المنطقة على التعاون مع إيران
عراقتشي: واشنطن أخلّت بالتزاماتها ومستمرّون في الدفاع عن أمننا
بدوره، رحّب وزير الخارجية الإيراني، عباس عراقتشي، خلال لقائه نظيره القطري، باستمرار جهود دول المنطقة والدول المجاورة للمساعدة في خفض التوتر.
وأكّد عراقتشي أنّ الوضع الراهن هو نتيجة العدوان العسكري الأميركي والإسرائيلي واستمرار الإجراءات الأميركية غير القانونية ضدّ بلاده، مشيراً إلى أنّ إيران التزمت بحسن نية بتفاهم إنهاء الحرب، لكنّ الولايات المتحدة أخلّت بتعهّداتها وعطّلت تنفيذه، وكشفت عن عدائها للشعب الإيراني عبر موجة جديدة من الإرهاب الاقتصادي.
وشدّد وزير الخارجية الإيراني على أنّ موقف طهران واضح بضرورة تعزيز الثقة بين دول المنطقة لإيجاد آليات أمن إقليمية مستقلة عن التدخّلات الخارجية، موضحاً أنّ تحقيق هذا الأمن يتطلّب التزام الدول بحسن الجوار وعدم استخدام أراضيها لشنّ عدوان أو حرب اقتصادية ضدّ إيران.
وجدّد تأكيده عزم وثبات بلاده على متابعة مصالحها وأمنها الوطنيين واستخدام جميع إمكاناتها للدفاع عن سيادتها.
من جهته، أكد رئيس الوزراء وزير الخارجية القطري حرص الدوحة على أمن المنطقة واستقرارها، مشدّداً على مواصلة المشاورات لخفض التوتر.
وفي وقتٍ سابق، أكّد المتحدّث باسم وزارة الخارجية القطرية، ماجد الأنصاري، أنّ مباحثات رئيس الوزراء في طهران ستتناول حرية الملاحة في مضيق هرمز وضرورة عودتها إلى ما كانت عليه قبل 28 شباط/فبراير، إضافة إلى بحث سبل خفض التصعيد وتهيئة الظروف الملائمة للحوار.
وتأتي هذه الزيارة وسط توترات متصاعدة تشهدها المنطقة، ولا سيما في ظلّ عدم التوصّل إلى اتفاق نهائي بشأن وقف الحرب على إيران، والتي اندلعت في نهاية شباط/فبراير الماضي ولم توقفها بشكل كامل مذكّرة التفاهم الموقّعة في حزيران/يونيو الماضي، حيث تقود قطر وباكستان وساطة للتوصّل إلى اتفاق نهائي ينهي الحرب التي بدأتها واشنطن ضدّ طهران
