The Islamic Revolutionary Guards targets American bases in the region after airstrikes launched by the American army against the islands of Sīrīk and Qešm.

According to what the Iranian television has confirmed, the Iranian Islamic Revolutionary Guards targeted American bases in the region with missiles after the recent aggression against the islands of Sīrīk and Qešm.
The Revolutionary Guards confirmed that in response to the American aggression, it targeted two American air bases in Kuwait and what has remained of the naval base in Bahrein.
The Revolutionary Guards explained that the American aggression had extended to a communications center in Qešm and to another in Sīrīk by drones.
The Revolutionary Guards added that this aggression came after an attempt by 4 oil carriers following American provocations and instructions to illegally pass through the Strait of Hormuz without coordinating, or responding to the warnings of the Revolutionary Guards Navy.
The American army had announced that it launched airstrikes against Iranian radar positions at Ğūrūk and the Qešm Island, claiming it to be “a defensive act”.
The Kuwaiti army reported that sounds of explosions were heard at night, explaining that these were “the result of air defenses countering a missile and drone attacks”.
On its behalf the Bahraini Interior Ministry sounded the warning sirens following airstrikes.
Despite the ceasefire between Iran and the United States due to Pakistani mediation since 8 April 2026, Washington has carried out attacks against Iran at the Strait of Hormuz and other regions and the Iranian Armed Forces have responded to these attacks.
The American vessels and destroyers have tried to cross the Strait of Hormuz to which Iran has also responded. Tehran had announced setting up “a naval control area” at the Strait of Hormuz on 21 April.

استهدف حرس الثورة الإسلامية في إيران القواعد الأميركية في المنطقة بالصواريخ، بعد العدوان الأخير على جزيرتي سيريك وقشم، وفق ما أكده التلفزيون الإيراني.
وأكد حرس الثورة أنّه رداً على العدوان الأميركي تمّ استهداف قاعدتين جويتين أميركيتين في الكويت وما تبقّى من القاعدة البحرية في البحرين.
وأوضح الحرس أنّ العدوان الأميركي طال مركزاً للاتصالات في قشم وآخر في سيريك بواسطة المسيّرات.
وأضاف الحرس أنّ هذا العدوان جاء بعد محاولة 4 ناقلات نفط مخالفة بتحريض وتوجيه أميركي مغادرة مضيق هرمز بشكل غير قانوني ومن دون التنسيق أو الالتفات إلى تحذيرات بحرية حرس الثورة
وكان الجيش الأميركي قد أعلن شنّه غارات على مواقع رادار إيرانية في جوروك وجزيرة قشم، زاعماً أنّه “عمل دفاعي”.
وأفاد الجيش الكويتي بأنّ أصوات انفجارات دوّت ليلاً، موضحاً أنها “ناجمة عن تصدّي الدفاعات الجوية لهجمات بالصواريخ والمسيّرات”.
بدورها، أطلقت وزارة الداخلية البحرينية صفارات إنذار من جرّاء غارات جوية.
وعلى الرغم من وقف إطلاق النار بين إيران والولايات المتحدة بوساطة باكستانية منذ 8 نيسان/أبريل 2026، تنفّذ واشنطن هجمات ضدّ إيران في مضيق هرمز ومناطق أخرى. فيما، تردّ القوات المسلحة الإيرانية على هذه الهجمات.
وتحاول مدمّرات وسفن أميركية عبور مضيق هرمز، فيما تردّ إيران على ذلك أيضاً. وكانت طهران قد أعلنت إنشاء “منطقة سيطرة بحرية” في مضيق هرمز في في 21 أيار/مايو الماضي
