Iranian President Ebrāhīm Ra’īsī confirmed that the unity and stability of Iraq is a strategic matter, which cannot be touched.

In a phone conversation with Iraqi Prime Minister Muṣṭafā al-Kāẓimī Ebrāhīm Ra’īsī said: “The unity and the stability of Iraq is a strategic question which does not accept bargaining. We support any attempt to solve the problems in a legal and transparent way. The position of Tehran is is based on principles and firm, which is to support the stability, the security and strengthening of popular sovereignty in Iraq.
Ra’īsī confirmed the long term and trusted relations between the two countries and pointed out that “the enemies of the region’s states don’t like security, stability and the progress of the people of Iraq. They follow their vile interests by spreading dissent. Therefore all has to has to be prepared for such conspiracies”.
Ra’īsī believed that it is important to use all powers to bring peace and stability in Iraq and said: “We believe that the principle of elections is an important deed for the sovereignty of the Iraqi people on their path. We have always confirmed the necessity for the Iraqi people determine their path via the election ballots. In this matter we support solving any obscurity by a political process on a legal and transparent way”.
On his own behalf Iraqi Prime Minister Muṣṭafā al-Kāẓimī said in this telephone conversation that “the view of the Islamic Republic of Iran about Iraq was always built on supporting stability and security in Iraq, and to protect these two”.

أكد الرئيس الإيراني إبراهيم رئيسي أن وحدة واستقرار العراق موضوع استراتيجي ولا يجوز المساس به.
وفي اتصال هاتفي مع رئيس الوزراء العراقي، مصطفى الكاظمي، قال إبراهيم رئيسي: إن الوحدة والاستقرار في العراق مسألة استراتيجية ولا يجوز المساومة عليها، ونحن نؤيد أي إجراء لحل المشاكل بشكل قانوني وشفاف.. وموقف طهران المبدئي والثابت هو دعم الاستقلال والأمن وإرساء السيادة الشعبية في العراق.
وأكد رئيسي على العلاقات الطويلة الأمد والوثيقة بين البلدين، وأشار إلى أن “أعداء دول المنطقة لا يحبون أمن واستقرار وتقدم الشعب العراقي، وهم يسعون وراء أهدافهم الشريرة من خلال الفتنة، لذلك يجب على الجميع أن يتنبهوا لمثل هذه المؤامرات“.
واعتبر رئيسي أن من الضروري استخدام كل الطاقات من أجل إرساء السلام والاستقرار في العراق وقال: “نعتبر مبدأ الانتخابات إنجازا مهما في سبيل سيادة الشعب العراقي على مصيره، وقد أكدنا دائما على ضرورة تحديد الشعب العراقي مصيره من خلال صناديق الاقتراع.. وفي هذا الصدد، نؤيد حل أي غموض من خلال العملية السياسية وبطريقة قانونية وشفافة.“
من جانبه قال رئيس الوزراء العراقي مصطفى الكاظمي في هذا الاتصال الهاتفي إن “نظرة جمهورية إيران الإسلامية للعراق كانت دائما قائمة على إرساء الاستقرار والأمن في العراق والحفاظ عليهما.”
