The Iranian President participates in a Friday prayer behind Sunni religious elders in Kordestān and confirms that the security of the country is “a red line”.
Iranian President Ebrāhīm Ra’īsī while inaugurating a major project to deliver water to the city of Sanandağ, the capital city of Kordestān Province confirmed that “the brave people of the province and the Iranian people, in general, defeated the enemy and will go on defeating them”.
The Iranian President stressed the importance of “the unity of the nation in facing the enemy” and said that “the Shia and the Sunna live together in this region and stand against the enemy”.
Ra’īsī believed that “the security of the country counts to be a red line for the Iranian Islamic Republic”, calling for “handing over all those, who committed crimes of murdering civilians and security personnel, or committing the recent acts of vandalism to justice”.
Aside from his meeting with religious scholars of Kordestān Province, Ra’īsī took part in a Friday prayer held by the religious scholars of the Sunni and Shia people and also stood behind an imam of the Sunni community in the city of Sanandağ.

The Mehr News Agency reported that the Iranian President on Thursday morning launched a visitation in Kordestān Province starting with the inauguration of a major water-delivering project to the city of Sanandağ. After that, the Iranian President aside from the inauguration met with a delegation of the people and officials of Kordestān Province.
The inauguration was followed by Ra’īsī meeting with the families of martyrs within the ranks of the security forces and other victims of the recent riots in the province.

أكّد الرئيس الإيراني إبراهيم رئيسي، خلال افتتاحه مشروعاً كبيراً لإيصال المياه إلى مدينة سنندج مركز محافظة كردستان، أنّ “أهالي المحافظة الشجعان والشعب الإيراني هزموا العدو وسيواصلون هزيمته
وشدد الرئيس الإيراني على أهمّية “وحدة أبناء الأمة في وجه الأعداء”، وقال إنّ “الشيعة والسنة يعيشون معاً في هذه المنطقة ويقفون ضد الاعداء
ورأى رئيسي أنّ “أمن البلاد يعدّ خطاً أحمر لدى الجمهورية الإسلامية الإيرانية”، داعياً إلى “تقديم كل من ارتكب جرائم قتل من الشعب وقوات الأمن في أعمال الشغب الأخيرة إلى العدالة
وعلى هامش لقائه علماء محافظة كردستان، شارك رئيسي في صلاة الجماعة التي اصطف فيها علماء من أهل السنة والشيعة خلف إمام جماعة من أهل السنة بمدينة سنندج.
وأفادت وكالة “مهر” بأنّ الرئيس الإيراني بدأ صباح اليوم زيارة لمحافظة كردستان ابتدأها بافتتاح مشروع كبير لإيصال المياه إلى مدينة سنندج. ثمّ اجتمع الرئيس الإيراني، على هامش الافتتاح، بجموع من أهالي ومسؤولي محافظة كردستان.
