The Iranian President and the Pakistani head of government hold a joint press conference after their meeting in Islamabad. In that they announce singing agreements that would increase the trade cooperation between the two states to $10 billion.

Head of the Pakistani government Šahbāz Šarīf received Iranian President Mas‘ūd Pezeškiyān in the Pakistani capital Islamabad on Monday.

Following the meeting Pezeškiyān and Šarīf held a joint press conference in which they announced singing agreements that would increase the trade cooperation between Iran and Pakistan to $10 billion and they both confirmed the mutual support between the two countries.

Pezeškiyān: We have signed agreements in various fields to improve the relations

In his statements the Iranian President thanked Pakistan for its support to Iran during the 12 days war, expressing “the brotherly feelings towards Pakistan that we consider a neighboring and a friendly country”.

Pezeškiyān announced singing agreements in various fields in order to improve the relations between the two states and implement swiftly, adding: “We will be able to increase the trade exchange from $3 billion that is now to $10 billion soon”.

Pezeškiyān called upon the Pakistani head of government to visit Iran as soon as possible in order to “follow up on what had been agreed upon between the two states”.

Also, Pezeškiyān confirmed that the two countries “will aim for the cooperation to guarantee the border security”, pointing out that there are “common views between us the security of the region and its states”.

He added that with Šarīf they confirmed “the joint cooperation, but also with the countries of the rest of the world to put limit to the crimes of the Israeli Entity”, pointing out the need “for the U.N. to fulfill its role”.

Šarīf: We support the peaceful Iranian nuclear activity

On his behalf the head of the Pakistani government confirmed that Islamabad supports the peaceful Iranian nuclear activity and that the two states “have joint goals” based on the principle of “not accepting any aggression against Iran”.

Šarīf during the press conference with Pezeškiyān confirmed signing trade agreements with Iran, expecting that the trade exchange between the two states would reach $10 billion.

Šarīf also addressed the genocide that had been launched by the Israeli Occupation against Gaza, expressing that “the appreciation for the efforts of the Leader of the Islamic Revolution and Republic of Iran and its support for the Palestinian people”.

He called for “international intervention in order to end the war against Gaza and to put an end to the starvation in which its people live”, and added that the people in Kašmīr, “just like the Palestinian people are facing huge difficulties”, thanking the support of Iran for their cause.

This comes after Pezeškiyān had headed to Pakistan on Saturday for a two days visit, where his official program included a visit to the city of Lahore.

It was scheduled that the program of this visit would include meetings and negotiations with Pakistani high officials aside from Šarīf, including the President, the speaker of both houses of the Pakistani parliament, also also a meeting with the members of the Iranian diaspora living in Pakistan.

Free trade agreement between Iran and Pakistan in the final phase

As for the free trade agreement between Iran and Pakistan Iranian Minister for Industry and Trade Moḥammad Atābak that it reached its final phase after long and contentious negotiations” lasting for years.

Atābak added that a comprehensive agreement was reached about the list of included items in this agreement that “can contribute to an effective role in the expansion of the trade cooperation”.

The Iranian minister pointed out that the level of trade between Iran and Pakistan “reached around $3 billion in the past, but it is constantly rising”, explaining that the the goal is “to raise this number to $10 billion in the near future within the frame of the free trade agreement”.

He also confirmed that Pakistan “with its huge number of population is one of the biggest probable trade partners toward enhancing the trade cooperation with the neighboring countries”, and this approach, as he said, counts “to be one of the most important Iranian governmental policies currently”.

Iranian Defense Minister meeting his Pakistani counterpart

Iranian Defense Minister ‘Azīz Naṣīrzāde met with his Pakistani counterpart Hawāğa Moḥammad Āṣif, as they discussed the development of the defense cooperation and the enhancement of the border security.

In the statements given by Naṣīrzāde after the meeting he expressed his trust that “the matters are proceeding for the better for both countries”, adding that the two states have “very good positions on the international level to support each other”.

He continued that the all “the many fields for cooperation between Iran and Pakistan, especially with common cultural, historical and religious ties along with common threats can be the thing that enhances the cooperation between them”.

استقبل رئيس الحكومة الباكستانية، شهباز شريف، الرئيس الإيراني، مسعود بزشكيان، في. العاصمة الباكستانية إسلام آباد، اليوم الأحد.

وعقب اللقاء، عقد بزشكيان وشريف مؤتمراً صحافياً مشتركاً، أعلنا فيه توقيع. اتفاقيات من شأنها أن ترفع التعاون التجاري بين إيران وباكستان إلى 10 مليارات دولار، وأكدا الدعم المتبادَل بين البلدين.

بزشكيان: وقّعنا اتفاقيات في مختلف المجالات لتحسين العلاقات

في تصريحاته، شكر الرئيس الإيراني باكستان على دعمها إيران خلال حرب الأيام الـ12، معبّراً عن. “مشاعر الأخوّة تجاه باكستان التي نعدّها بلداً جاراً وصديقاً”.

وأعلن بزشكيان توقيع اتفاقيات في مختلف المجالات، من أجل تحسين العلاقات بين. البلدين وتفعيلها سريعاً، مضيفاً: “نستطيع رفع مستوى تبادلاتنا التجارية من 3 مليارات دولار حالياً إلى 10 مليارات، في وقت قريب”.

ودعا بزشكيان رئيس الحكومة الباكستانية إلى زيارة إيران في أقرب وقت ممكن، من أجل “متابعة ما. تمّ الاتفاق عليه بين البلدين”.

كذلك، أكد بزشكيان أنّ البلدين “سيَسعَيان للتعاون من أجل ضمان أمن الحدود”، مشيراً إلى. وجود “آراء مشتركة بينهما، بشأن أمن المنطقة ودولها”.

وأضاف أنّه وشريف أكدا “التعاون المشترك ومع دول العالم لوضع حد لجرائم الكيان. الإسرائيلي”، مشيراً إلى ضرورة “أن تقوم الأمم المتحدة بدورها”.

شريف: ندعم النشاط النووي السلمي الإيراني

بدوره، أكد رئيس الحكومة الباكستانية أنّ إسلام آباد تدعم النشاط النووي السلمي الإيراني، وأنّ البلدين. “لديهما أهداف مشتركة”، مبدياً “عدم القبول بأيّ اعتداء على إيران”

وأعلن شريف، خلال مؤتمر صحافي مع بزشكيان، توقيع اتفاقيات تجارية مع إيران، متوقّعاً أن يصل. مستوى التعاون بين الدولتين إلى 10 مليارات دولار.

كما تطرّق شريف إلى حرب الإبادة التي يشنّها الاحتلال الإسرائيلي على غزة، معرباً عن “تثمين. مساعي قائد الثورة والجمهورية الإسلامية في إيران، ودعمه الشعب الفلسطيني”.

ودعا  إلى “تدخّل دولي، من أجل إنهاء الحرب على غزة، ووضع حدٍّ للتجويع الذي يعيشه أهلها”. وأضاف. أنّ الشعب في كشمير، “كما الشعب الفلسطيني، يواجه صعوبات كبيرة”، شاكراً دعم إيران لقضيته.

ويأتي ذلك بعد أن توجّه بزشكيان، أمس السبت، إلى باكستان، في زيارة تستمر يومين، حيث تضمّن. البرنامج الرسمي الأول له زيارة مدينة لاهور.

ومن المقرّر أن تشمل برامج هذه الزيارة لقاءات ومحادثات مع كبار المسؤولين. الباكستانيين، بينهم، إلى جانب شريف، رؤساء الجمهورية والجمعية الوطنية ومجلس الشيوخ، إضافةً إلى لقاء. مع أبناء الجالية الإيرانية المقيمة في باكستان.

اتفاقية التجارة الحرة بين إيران وباكستان في المرحلة النهائية

وفيما يتعلق باتفاقية التجارة الحرة بين إيران وباكستان، أكد وزير الصناعة والتجارة. الإيراني، محمد أتابك، أنّها “وصلت إلى مرحلتها النهائية بعد مفاوضات طويلة ومتواصلة” امتدت أعواماً.

وأضاف أتابك أنّه تم التوصل إلى اتفاقات عامة بشأن قائمة السلع المشمولة بهذه الاتفاقية، والتي. “يمكن أن تؤدي دوراً فعّالاً في توسيع التعاون التجاري”.

وأشار الوزير الإيراني إلى أنّ حجم التجارة بين إيران وباكستان “كان يبلغ نحو 3 مليارات. دولار في السابق، وهو في ازدياد مستمر”، موضحاً أنّ الهدف هو “رفع هذا الرقم إلى 10 مليارات. دولار في المستقبل القريب في إطار اتفاقية التجارة الحرة”.

كما أكد أنّ باكستان، “بتعدادها السكاني الكبير وإمكاناتها الكبيرة، من أهم شركاء إيران. المحتملين في اتجاه تعزيز التعاون التجاري مع دول الجوار”، وهو اتجاه يُعدُّ “من أهم سياسات الحكومة الإيرانية الحالية”، كما قال.

وزير الدفاع الإيراني يلتقي نظيره الباكستاني

وزير الدفاع الإيراني، عزيز نصير زاده، التقى نظيره الباكستاني، خواجة محمد آصف، حيث. ناقشا تطوير التعاون الدفاعي وترسيخ الأمن على الحدود.

وفي تصريحات أدلى بها نصير زاده بعد اللقاء، أعرب عن ثقته بأنّ “الأمور تمضي نحو. الأفضل لكلا البلدين”، مضيفاً أنّ للدولتين “مواقف جيدة جداً على الصعيد الدولي، لدعم بعضهما البعض”.

وتابع بأنّ ثمة “مجالات كثيرة للتعاون بين إيران وباكستان، وخصوصاً مع وجود قواسم ثقافية. وتاريخية ودينية مشتركة، عدا عن وجود تهديدات مشتركة، الأمر الذي يعزز مستوى التعاون بينهما
